I usually do not give 5 stars as for me that a tick for everything including ambience, service, wait time, food, taste, value etc. as this is a new place / refurbished / ? New owners. They r trying hard and I have to give It to them.
Egg Benedict was a treat for 18$ with salmon n mushrooms plus eggs n potatoes. Good size eggs not just the usual size 6. If u ask all those things it usually costs >20$. The large latte with very nice froth was only 4.50$

Beautiful buildings from an age when the founders were convinced of a prosperous future. The cafe had a wonderful range of HOT pies, one of which I enjoyed by the gardens.
Nice outside sitting zone with awning that keep us and our dog out of rain and cold wind. I love the lovely coffee and my dog said he likes the coffee presentation. Staff are super friendly. Highly recommend to come and have a break.
I chose this place based on recent reviews, I do not regret at all because the food served was really excellent and with great taste. I felt that the products were prepared as if I were at home, however the price is a little high but the quality of food and coffee will quickly make you forget the price.
Fantastic brioche, lovely coffee, a full and varied cabinet, and happy smiley staff. What more could you want? Freshly roasted coffee beans you say? They do that too!

Food was nice and the store was cute and quaint
For fifteen bucks I got a stunning bowl of soup, a cheese roll that was probably a meal in itself. As for the coffee, these guys do their own roast and it's one of the best and most consistent that I've ever had.
The staff are friendly, chatty and helpful; decor is 'just right' and the ambience is outstanding.

Love love love the atmosphere and most importantly the coffee. Tracie the owner is one in a million and always puts a smile on your face and you leave feeling energized, content and genuinely happy! Great outdoor area in the garden out the back. Good for children to play while the mum's have a coffee. You can even bring your pet!!! Highly recommend if ever you're visiting Oamaru 😊
