Review Tees Street Cafe - Oamaru

Absolutely stunning venue, decor, atmosphere, coffee & food! There are lots of seating options and gorgeous& very healthy live plants everywhere. I had a small mocha which was strong and delicious accompanied by the super charged breakfast which had an assortment of scrumptious fresh flavours! I left very full and satisfied & works definitely return!

Had a breakfast at this lovely cafe. Overnight oats with coconut yogurt and berries were delicious! My friends ordered breakfast boards and enjoyed them too. Highly recommended!

Great coffee and breakfast in old historic district /building

Delicious food, I had the slow cooked lamb on couscous and a green sencha tea. The music was far too loud and of the anxiety inducing variety, utterly unsuitable for a cafe atmosphere. We eventually asked for it to be turned down, which they did. Phew!

Picked this place originally for the Açai Bowl and avocado toast. Which we no longer on the menu. Got the Black rice pudding and and few other things. It was all very good.

Quite simply one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. The mushrooms were delicious, coffee great and just a delightful atmosphere. Well done guys! Fantastic.

Nice cafe with good food in a chill day. Awesome ice cream made by cafe, must try! Saw some sockets in there.

Have lived in Oamaru for a month now and finally (!!!) found good coffee - not without lack of trying! My Partner and I were immediately drawn in to the cabinet food, which looked delicious. He got one of the tastiest pies we’ve ever eaten, and I got bagel which was equally SO good. The lady serving was so lovely, and came over to talk and play with our son and he loved it. And then they brought out the donuts… so freaking good. We will definitely be returning.

The pork bao were stunning. Celeriac puree with roasted pumpkin was a bit disappointing as it was all very soft so not much texture to speak of. Great selection of baked goods and nice, friendly atmosphere

Really lucky to find this cool cafe for breakfast. I enjoyed the porridge, which was beautifully presented. My husband devoured the big breakfast. Coffee exceptional and tea also very good. Friendly staff and great atmosphere/decor. Highly recommend!

What a little gem! Restaurant quality. I had slow cooked lamb and it was tasty, presented beautifully and ample on the plate. Definitely make this stop if you are looking for lunch in Oamaru

Consistently great coffee & cake, brilliant donuts, OK service, so-so brioche. Portion sizing can be random. Today's chips had a total of ten, but this was happily (and generously) remedied when mentioned. The good definitely outweighs the bad.

Went to Tees cafe for a post breakfast coffee and scone. Staff were very accommodating when our group of 8 turned up right at opening time! They were prompt with our orders, however the savoury scone I ordered was a touch doughy, and mostly just tasted like a cheese scone. The coffee was 7/10, a nice warm drink on a cold morning. There was a lovely ambiance in the place, very warm and cosy, classic small town cafe. I will definitely be back at tees cafe, but I don’t think I will be getting the savoury scone again.

Visiting here from CA and missing Mexican cuisine - what a treat to see huevos rancheros on the menu. Can honestly say they were the best I’ve ever eaten. Found out the chef is from Argentina, and really knew how to layer flavors. Set in the historical section of Oamaru, lively atmosphere, great service and delicious coffee.
