Relax place where you can enjoy a good and special craft beer and different burgers. I had the vega fallafal burger that tasted very good. And fries were fresh and homemade. The best we ate in NZ. Friendly, helpful people who advice you witch beer you whould like to drink.

My partner is crying as he eats your bacon and egg butty sandwich.
We were going to wait to eat it later on our roadtrip but couldn't resist eating the whole thing after the first bite.
The head baker (?) was incredibly friendly - he must've heard that my nickname is Princess Bread 😂. When we came in today, he showed us their sourdough starters, let me try a bit of the marinated artichoke before I committed to the sandwich, and just had great banter all round.
We also came here for burgers last night and that was incredible. We got the OMG burger, Voulez-vous burger and truffle fries. Perfect way to end a day at the slopes.
We're excited to dig into the three loaves of bread (ciabatta, pumpkin seed and standard sourdough), the steak and cheese pie and 12 inch pork and fennel sausage roll we just bought too!
Freshly baked bread and sandwiches in the morning / afternoon, and then burgers in the evening are a must have for anyone coming to Ohakune.

A really nice place for burger and chips. Both have different variety and flavours so it can get a bit overwhelming. Most of the burgers I've had here are nice so you probably can't go too wrong. The burgers come in 2 sizes. It is the same with the chips and their different flavours. A decent portion of chips and the toppings are also fairly generous. We came with a fairly large party and waited at the bar before the large booth opened up. The drinks menu is interesting as it was on the back of a vinyl cover. The only dessert option was ice cream so it would be nice if they came up with dessert burgers.
Friendly crew and tasty food so not a bad option for lunch or dinner.

I am not a burger lover to start with but i really enjoy the gourmet burgers here. Patty were chargrilled perfectly and still juicy inside. Burger sauces are unique and the wholemeal bun is soft and spongy. I have to say it is the best i ever had. Burgers are themed to international flavours so no matter where you are from, you are sure to be able to find what taste suits you best. Only shortcoming is fries were overcooked.
Match your burger with very wide selection of craft beers and fresh brew coffee to complete your tasting buds. Will visit here again for sure.
My wife have eaten in a lot of restaurants in many cities in many countries and this one beats most of them. This restaurant was a real unexpected find in a small rural New Zealand town. The food was genuinely incredible. We loved the decor which was really quirky and original. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The selection of guns was really impressive as a speciality thing. The kitchen is completely on show so you get to see everything being cooked. The owner and main chef said hello to us. The guy is talented and has high standards. Took a few photos. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
Who would have thought you’d find a place like this in a town like Ohakune?! The owner chef has international experience and has now brought it here. His food is really very good.

Calamari was my favourite and lamb was partner’s.
Really enjoyed the ‘theatre’ of the open kitchen.
And if I still drank alcohol I would have been in beer and gin heaven. Such a small place keeping such big lists is a delight.
Bill was NZ$100 for two (admittedly without alcoholic drinks). Excellent value - get down there before the prices go up!
A wonderful surprise. We had a delightful and very delicious meal here. A nice variety of plates, great gin selection and wonderfully prepared all around. Service was excellent. Would dine here again!
Amazing little high end restaurant with extremely good food (Tapas themed) and exceptional staff. The lady that served us was next to perfect in her delivery not to mention the amazing gin selection she had!! Can't recommend highly enough!!!
The Blind Finch is a must visit bakery in Ohakune. With tasty sandwiches on sourdough bread, pies, burgers or savouries to satisfy your taste buds. There is surely something for everyone. We were not able to try out their burgers this time, but will surely be back next time we are in town
BEST chicken burger ever, and great service. Be prepared to wait, because they do get busy, but you will not regret it. Generous helpings and very tasty food with a good selection of drinks. Five star, highly recommended. My husband and I will be back! Keep up the awesome work guys.
One of the best burgers I have had. Juicy, flavourful and reasonably priced. Only issue was the lack of a side portion of fries. I'd be more than happy to pay 3-4 dollars for a side of fries rather than 8 for a two person serving.
The food was fantastic, not the old burger place but a high quality tapas restaurant now.
It was a bit of a surprise to us that they don't serve any tea or have any milk with the coffee.
Probably better than any pie I tried in Auckland, especially the classic mince/cheese pies. The gourmet pies were good but the classics are what I'd suggest.
This is exactly what a small town needed, a great combination of burgers (with vegan options) and a bake house. Even without any competition the quality was excellent.

Burgers are varied and have something for everyone. My Burger of hummus was very nice and the kamikazi chips had a very nice combination of sauces. Well worth it if you feel like a burger.
