We had an amazing meal here. The food is delicious. The drinks are great & the service was perfect. If you value the afore mentioned things you can’t go wrong having dinner here. Everything was done well. We had the steak, dumplings & meatballs & all were delicious. Paul made his signature cocktail which was spot on! The affogato was one of the best we have had. If you have the opportunity go to The Kitchen you won’t be disappointed!

The most impressive part was service - Paul was lovely. He looked after us after our long day of driving and fed us yummy, healthy and filling food. The lady serving us made sure we were happy with our meals. Paul was very kind and shared some tips around the place. Overall, lovely ambience, good food, warm and friendly people, clean bathrooms. Must visit! ❤️

Great service, atmosphere and food. Will be back for sure and can highly recommend. We had to change the menu to suit our Keto requirements and nothing was an issue!

Amazing fresh flavours, well balanced dishes and the hospitality was second to none. We had the tofu, tacos, spring rolls (super sized!) and dumplings. All of the dishes melded together beautifully and the dipping sauces were so yummy. The craft beers were such a good match with the food, and Paul's knowledge regarding matching the food with the beer and wines was so helpful. We will be back!

Favourite spot in town! Perfect for a few drinks or dinner with the fam. The team are amazing and the food is always perfect. Highly recommend the steak, tacos & apple pie wontons. They also do great in house brew. Yum!!

Had the most amazing experience here that we came back again! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like ee were regulars even though we had never been before! Food was amazing, so yummy and good options for vegans too! Awesome drinks selection including loads of craft beer (would recommend the Ginger Martini) Thank you so much team! Coming to your restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip, if I could give more stars I would!!

Tasty, reasonably priced food. Great team, friendly. Ask about the craft beer! We were so happy, we went back again on our short holiday.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Amazing hosts, delicious food (including tasty vegan options), and the best beer selection in town! I recommend The Kitchen to everyone! 10/10 I will be coming back next time I'm in Ohakune.

Great dinner with Paul and the crew at the Kitchen, delicious food, curated collection of craft beers (ask Paul to surprise you), friendly and efficient service, even with 5 kids in tow on a wet and wild night. Thanks, we will be back!
