Awesome food, awesome people, awesome vibe, awesome location. Awesomeness all round! Fireplace is the bomb! Good for drying wet bum after snowboarding 🏂 😜 Stu is alright jk he's awesome too! 5 stars, all the stars for the rockstars!

the rooms were dated, and is quite far from most destinations. the bar/restaurant itself is cozy, definitely a plus not having to not far for a meal and some drinks. also had karaoke going which was a lot of fun for our group!

Motel style hotel. Super owner who was very helpful in providing us with local information. Good hospitality tray and room provisions. Bar/restaurant was good, enjoyed dinner and drinks here. Located 30mins from the national park. Nice town location with a super coffee stop at the railway station.

We stopped for lunch, and it was a quiet Saturday. While we were the only people there, they served us amazingly and informed us of some of the supply issues recently. Great food, great vibe, and a lovely place!

Have had two meals here in the last few days and both were amazing. Best steak meal ever at a restaurant and my Husband cook's a perfect one! Fish meal, Nacho's and burgers were all incredible. Well done team King's Restaurant service was top stuff.

Visited as part of an organised event and they did their very best for us. They've had a tough few years and a rubbish ski season this year and their gratitude for our patronage was palpable. Definitely an eclectic atmosphere but in an historic building with a looming presence and a great view of the maunga. Great support for Tech savvy team of organisers.

Literally the best food I’ve had out since being in New Zealand !!! Corn on the cob was probably one of the best I’ve had & nachos were a generous sized portion - freshly made and not soggy !! Service with a smile also ☺️

The chef sure knows how to cook a great steak. Hands down the best steak I've had at a restaurant! The staff are friendly and helpful, and you can always find great artists and bands performing in their well thought out establishment. This place also offers accommodation. I highly recommend Kings Ohakune to anyone coming to visit.

Was just there tonight with my family, first of all the staff are amazing, I had the pleasure of having stu(the owner/operator) as our waiter and he was awesome, he even shared some history about the kings which was awesome to hear, secondly the food was absolutely amazing probably 1 of the best steak meals I've had in long time and the sticky date pudding was very nice. I highly recommend anyone passing or staying in ohakune to visit kings as you will not be disappointed. Thanks stu and the team for an awesome meal and time. Cheers
