Review Crosby's Pies - Onehunga

I have just enjoyed the pleasure of eating the best steak and kidney pie I have ever purchased. The pie had all the attributes of a quality pie and some. Plenty of kidney,choice chunks of steak without a shred of fat on them,and a tasty gravy. The pastry I’m not an expert commentator on but it adequately contained the delicious contents until I consumed them which didn’t take long. Keep up the excellent quality Crosby’s and you will deservedly recover the once highly esteemed reputation you once held.

I'm a big critic when it comes to pies, I only liked the curried mince. There's a variety but hey I'm picky.

Been goin there 30yrs

This shop have been here for many years. Old but still really clean. I love the pepper steak pie and mince cheese pie here. It's full of flavour and got crispy pastry. Owner always really nice and friendly.

This outlet has been here for years. Another good outlet to get great tasting pies. Well made pastry thats not greasy and holds its shape when smashing. Chicken and veggie is my fave at this outlet but i have had them all and are all tasty and high quality. <br/>They also make old school petit lil sammies like asparagus rolled in bread and sweet baked goods available too. <br/>The quite lil lady behind the counter is so nice. Prices are reasonably cheap.

I'm a pie lover and very particular where I buy them from, this place rates right up there - I've tried most of the selection, very tasty and value for money.

I have been buying and eating these pies for over 35 years from when the Crosby's Mr &amp; Mrs ran it and the quality has never changed just the selection has increased, in that time I moved from Onehunga to Mt Roskill, Mt. Wellington and Manukau and always travelled whatever the distance for these pies, apart from the quality fillings the flaky puff pastry is what makes them. And being a trucker I get around and the only other place that comes a distant second is a bakery at Northern end of Putaruru.

If you are looking for casual and cheap food then this place has excellent and yummy pies. Anytime I'm in Onehunga I always grab a steak and cheese pie.

One of the hidden gems in Auckland if you love pies! Place never seems that busy but their pies are awesome! Reasonable price as well.<br/><br/>Just tried their Lamb Curry and also a Steak and Tomato - fantastic! Normally buy their Steak and Bacon but will now work my way though their pie menu.

best tasting pies i have ever had, whenever im in Auckland i make sure i get a good supply of pies before heading back down to Palmerston North.<br/>im not sure what they put in these pies but it keeps me coming back every time
