Hi found this lovely little place well located. The food was fresh and lovely. The service was friendly. Oh and the coffee was delicious, Mojo blended. Will be back again.

A friendly wee cafe with good coffee, really tasty food and yum Italian gelato ice cream. Both Indoor and outdoor seating right on the corner of the street.

Been a wonderful experience. Amazing vibe and delicious food. Vipul even made up a dish for us which was not a part of his menu. Kudos!!!

Amazing food. We stumbled across this cafe as it is out of the Onehunga Mall township. All I can say is "what a gem of a place". The food was incredible and reasonably priced. Also I had a green juice and my daughter had a smoothie (both were delicious. I would highly recommend Refuel Cafe :)

I have been a regular visitor to Refuel for several years now. The previous owner/chef had set up a good menu and some of that has been able to continue when ownership changed about a year ago. Although not what it was at the peak previously, the young lady running the kitchen and coffee on behalf of the new owners is consistent and organised and continues to cook my favourite meal each time, and I keep going back.

Jst had an early lunch and very impressed. Polite and attentive staff. Delicious, tasty smoked salmon salad and smoothie was excellent too. Came across this cafe by accident and will be back when next in Onehunga.

I eat here every week without fail because the food is so amazing. They have perfected the art of potato rosti eggs Benedict. The food is second to none and has been consistently every time I've eaten here. They also are an environmentally conscious cafe, using recyclable materials in packaging and coffee cups.

Food and coffee was really good. Service very average. No smiles or thanks. Playing on phones mostly. Had to get up and ask for things I needed. But if you just want good food and coffee I still recommend it.

Wow!! Very impressed. Was not sure when we first walked in, but the menu is diverse...very clean eating but super super tasty flavours!!! Absolutely delicious. Lovely owners who have poured their heart and soul into the menu and it shows!! Favourite place in Onehunga now!!

Friendly staff, reasonable prices (although a little more than some other places in Onehunga). Refuel offers prepared food (muffins, sandwiches etc), plus coffee etc. The outdoor seating looks nice, but be prepared to step taking when a bus or loud car goes past (it is right at the traffic lights). Indoors seating is good. It only offers pre-prepared food (which majorly limits customer selection, and must impact their profit and wastage). But an interesting place to try - you just may like it!

Crazy delicious food, I ordered on Uber Eats and was blown away. All the usual favourite breakfast options but with a twist, amazing sauces and perfect seasoning. Fresh pastries on the counter and cakes and sandwiches in the fridge, plus some really tempting gelato and shakes. Cafe is in the corner with seating indoor and out. Must-try!

Awesome little cafe with great choices of food made from fresh ingredients. With the dozens of mediocre cafes in Onehunga, Refuel consistently deliver the best food and coffee - that's how to grab customers..right!! Doing the little things right !! Reading some of the UberEats reviews here, its unfair to blame the cafe for cold or lukewarm food and coffee. When you are ordering from Mt Roskill, what do you expect. Best to experience the food inhouse😁

Credit where credit is due... food was amazing. Recommended the chilli smashed avocado on toast and the Quinoa Salad. Both were jam packed with flavor, each mouthful was exciting and delicious. Good sized portions too! Was a beautiful day sitting outside in the sun!

Really cute & cosy place. They have a really good variety of food/drink options and the kind staff were a bonus! Very pleased with my experience there today, would definitely recommend it.

This particular cafe is a diamond in the rough. The exterior and interior of this place isn’t the most inviting however their food is beautiful. Their food is organic and they use some of the best quality food. My particular meal was delicious and I would definitely eat here again. It’s such a shame the place looks so run down as it has potential to do so well.

Coffee was good but had a bit of a wait as the kitchen is very small & only a few staff. Eggs & bacon on toast & chilli, avocado & feta were good.

Avo served with freshly made dukkah which was great but also, unexpectedly served with a lot of pesto which overpowered everything. Pushed to the side but would suggest leaving it out as it doesn’t go with the other flavours.

Eggs bene w/mushrooms was good. However the customer service provided by the man at the counter was unsatisfactory/rude. Would not revisit as a result

Pancakes weren’t that great especially for the price. One of the staff members seemed quite impolite in terms of how he served us. Overall not a great experience. The cafe across the road from this is far better and I’d recommend that one (Brick by Brick)

Food was good. The beans on the big breakfast tasted great and went well together with the toast. I super loved their silky mango avocado drink. The best mango drink I've had in NZ so far. Will come back again to try something else on the menu.

Worst cafe ever. Dirty cups n plates. Concern about my heath, didn’t drink the tea. Disaster not organized at all. Might because the Saturday staff. Won’t recommend going.

Was alright, still ate my breakfast, been to better cafes. Asked for poached eggs, yolks came out solid. Sourdough was rock hard that even my knife was getting its work cut out, bacon also rock hard. Coffee was very nice though, overall could be better, think ill just come in for coffee next time.

Really enjoyed my breakfast here this morning. I ordered the Granola which was almost too pretty to eat, and even had a scoop of mango sorbet in the middle which tasted amazing. I couldn't fault the granola at all, it was full of nuts and fruit and was a generous portion and left me feeling full. I also had the Green Tea Blueberry smoothie which tasted delicious as well. My friends had the Mates breakfast and both said it was up there in their favourites of big breakfasts they have had. 5/5 for food.

There was a new guy working but he did well and was very polite and helpful. The cafe was quite small itself but is still nice. I will definitely be back and can't wait to try the cabinet food (although it looked a little overpriced). Keep up the great work!

I came here with a few girlfriends for lunch on a Saturday. It was full but one table was available for us.
We ordered a couple of juices which were both delicious.
I had the smashed avocado with poached egg for $15.50 which I thought was well worth it.
Great presentation and good value.

Me and my daughter went for a try for the first time this morning , the service was friendly and quite fast everything looked and tasted AMAZING I was actually quite surprised. My daughter ate all her pancakes which is a first and she ate everything in her plate . The mango smoothie is soooooo good too !!!!

Great coffee and food it was relatively busy for a monday morning. Staff were nice and friendly and all food is cooked behind the counter (no kitchen). Both our meals were really good but not sure how well not having a kitchen would work on a busy day. Great value for $$ .

This small corner cafe is a great local. The owner and staff are super friendly ,The coffee is great, and The food is superb . I think in my opinion one of the best eggs Benedict I have had . I hope the locals get behind this cafe . I will be a regular for sure.

This cute little cafĂ© is a needed addition to the area and already proving to be popular with locals. Whether you’re after breakfast, lunch, coffee or even some gelato – Refuel has got you covered. We dined in for brunch on Sunday and were pleasantly surprised. I’ve always thought they were just a juice bar but they have plenty of food options, smoothies and juices on their menu.

The café is small but the seating outside increases the table numbers and is great for sunny days. We liked the combination of modern colours and textures throughout the space and the grass feature wall added a bit of life to the café.

We ordered a large flat white, Chili avocado with smashed feta and heirloom tomatoes on toast with an added egg and the Eggs bene with mushrooms. The coffee (Mojo) could have been a bit hotter but the flavour was rich and smooth. The smashed avo was on the lighter portion size but had a good combination of flavours that worked well together. The eggs bene was well portioned and I enjoyed the mushrooms and hollandaise sauce

The service was average and we missed the attentiveness we've received at others cafes. It was the little things they missed like bringing water and glasses to the table and topping up napkins/cutlery on the table. All in all a nice little spot worth checking out for if you live nearby or are in the area.

Coffee was amazing, the granola is a must try and really lovely people! Good vegan options with different choices(: Really great service, would recommend.

We enjoyed two different salads and a delicious mango gelato.
The service was very warm and friendly. We would return if we were
visiting the area again. Recommend!
Oregonians (from U.S,)

Have been here almost every day for the past couple of weeks as the coffee and food are so good. I love how all the food is freshly made using top quality ingredients and the mojo coffee is superb. Service is really friendly even when they're busy.

Food is fresh, healthy and tasty. Coffee is first class. Ambiance is relaxing. Try a Smoothie for something fresh. This is Onehunga's best cafe.

Went here on Easter Monday so it was pretty busy. Was served in an acceptable time for how busy it was. Wait staff were nice, cheerful and sincere. Food was first class. All fresh free range and/or organic ingredients used, including the bread, which really made this a great lunch (this much so that I actually went and thanked the cook/chef for his efforts). The decor inside was stylish, super comfy chairs outside. Albeit little windswept on the corner of the street but you can't win then all.

Not a great experience. The service was average, the coffees very slow and the salad was too salty and didn't match the menu description. The cashier had to ask us twice what we ordered when we went to pay. Overall the customer service needs to improve.

First time been there. Ambiance is quite pleasant. Connected to nature. Love their water jar and glass. Pretty fancy.
Anyway, food was great. Had Avacado eggs benedict which was nice. Good portion. I think salt was a bit more than i normally take. But that's coz i dont have alot of salt anyway.
Highly recommended!! Let the friendly staffs welcome you with a love & warmth

My thurd time here and it looks like I will be coming here often

I have had three types of salads and 2 I have had yhat is the same

The second time I got the Quinoa salad tou could tell it was made with love

Primo excellente

I alolso love how they have real fruit and vege juices.. thats a bonus for me as I love that I can get access to goods and drinks that I normally eat. This is really important to me

However the juice comes in a fancy glass really small at high cost I would prefer the bigger cup from Tank. Hint. Too small for the valule I paid for. This prevents me from buying the juice or the smoothie on my visits. Up the size guys then you will start seeing me buy

In saying that, they have filtered water provided free..

10 out of 10 for service and salads

4 out of 10 for the green juices

But overall 9 out of 10 as a awesome place for organic vegan lovers or those who just want to access good healthy food when they are out and about and not close to home to make own juice or salad

Lavinia
