Review Cable Bay Vineyards Winery And Restaurant - Oneroa

It had been a while. 7 years since our last visit. Still, a spectacular view & the food is even better. Light lunch but the octopus and steak Tatar were some of the best we have eaten. Truly folks do not hesitate to try either or better both. The octopus flavor is boosted but not overpowered by the sauce and celeriac salad. The Tatar with crisp onion is perfect. We went with a simple 4 cheese pizza but again simple but nailed it. Wines were the perfect accompaniment. We have travelled to about 80 countries. Many times to regions that would call these dishes local. Rarely do they hit the flavor marks of what we had today. Well done team.

A great experience with good customer service, incredible food and wine choices and atmosphere with a stunning view Do beware, it gets a little hot and stuffy (especially when they start cooking the mains) but they were glad enough to open the windows for us

My experience here was AMAZING! The food is good but I think the service is the highlight of my whole experience. The staff greeted us friendly and showed us to our table. Everybody was very patient with us even though it took us quite a while to decide what to order. The lady who took our order and mainly served our table was SUPER nice and helpful. She even adviced us of how much we should order, in case we ordered too much. We really aprreciate it! The wine was great and the pizzas were just delicious. I recommend this place to anybody who are interested in the fine-dining experience. Of course it is a bit pricey but I think it is worth it.

The Waiheke tasting wines were delicious and well balanced, particularly the chardonnay which pleasantly surprised me, likewise the staff and of course the views were breathtaking! I'll remember these moments forever!

BEST OF THE BEST If you ever need a truly amazing Vineyard visit - then Cable bay would be the one. For us it was like a once in a lifetime sort of experience. View, Food, drink, customer service - everything was so good - we will remember this for a very long time. Very close to Ferry terminal, relaxing ambiance, fast service, great food and drink choice and the list goes on. Staff looked after us so well - thank you.

We had lunch at cable bay, great views(even if it rained like crazy) Service was great, wine selection was good. Enjoyed ourselves. Forgot to take all the pic of the food.

Did some wine tasting here, lovely man helped guided us through the wines. Location we sat in was awful though. Back in the corner of the restaurant, instead og outside in the sun with a view, or back in the cellar dorm.

We went here for lunch on Boxing Day, 2021. On our way there, the taxi driver, who drove us there, bad mouthed this place, something terrible! So much so, that I was contemplating of changing our venue. He was heavily promoting another vineyard, not far from Cable Bay. Well, thank goodness, we didn’t make the change, because we had a great time. The food, service, the views, everything was spot on!

From the entrance, you will feel as if you have entered a museum, and your imagination will expand. Ms. Linh, a wine sommelier, taught us about the characteristics of wine. She was very kind and enthusiastic about learning Japanese of wine involved. Some of the food was of high quality and the staff were very friendly. I had a great day!

Enjoyed the wine tasting package, sampling the 4 wines on offer. The food was great, especially the calamari and the steak and jus. Views were awesome and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Amazing view and good food~ We were there for a meeting at their function room. The staff was very nice and attentive. Although the food came out quite slow as the place is very busy in the weekend. My favourite is the lamb, very tender~

Lovely spot that we stopped at for a few drinks and some food while we were on Waiheke Island. The drinks were nice and the service was great. We only wished we had more time to enjoy more of their food but we could only have a very short stop over to get to every place we wanted to

We went for a wine tasting and had such an amazing experience! Incredible views and service my husband and I would definitely come back. The only downside were these three outrageously rude Australians who were harassing the poor staff because they couldn’t purchase wine after 5. Shame on them!

Off Peak Time is a nice time to enjoy a lovely wine with a stunning view of Auckland! Staff were super lovely and attentive. Food was delicious, foccacia and dips with a Pizza was enough to put two of us into an early food coma!! Bless them, 🙌

Came here for a work Christmas function and had an amazing time. Great service and food. We ordered a Platter to share between four and Main between two. We had the Seafood platter which was delicious, probably one of the best battered fish I had. We ordered lamb steak for our Main which was tender and so juicy, though it arrived after everyone else finished theirs. It was accidentally cancelled out of confusion from one the waitresses. The staff were extremely apologetic for the mistake and delay. The lamb was still worth the wait.
