Incredible! So tasty and super fresh. Very quick service. The meat was practically melting in my mouth. Wonderful sweets. Spacious tables and nice vibe. Totally unexpected for something on the side of the road. Would come again!!

One of the best Cafés I've ever been to! I came here several times and always tried another dish and I liked them all. The owners Brian and Penny prepare everything themselves, from their home-grown lamb and beef to the house-baked burger buns, slices and cakes and the hand-picked salad. Very friendly and helpful staff, easy parking, nice atmosphere and the best food you can find anywhere on the South Coast! Highly recommended, I would love to come back and have another of Penny's brownie slices!! <3

I’ve been here a few times now and each time has been a fantastic experience. I’ve tried several dishes (burger, risotto, and curry) and multiple desserts and the coffee and found them all to be superb, plus the staff is without exception welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. The service and atmosphere are excellent. I have always gone alone but the place is family-friendly. No wonder you find both tourists and locals! Many thanks for the wonderful place.

This place should be the standard for roadside cafes across NZ. I can’t remember what this white chocolate cheesecake was called exactly but it was gluttonous. Went 30 April, was definitely open not sure what gmaps is on about.

This place is in the middle of nowhere but the food and service were exceptional! Worth a big detour to take it in. We had roast lamb and it was amazing as well as the a pumpkin white wine risotto also a very good burger. The baked goods & pastries were amazing as well. Very good attention to detail.

The realgem of the area is this little cafe. Such a surprise to find amazingly good food in a small cafe in the middle of nowhere. The full breakfast enough for 2 people so do consider sharing if you have a smaller appetite. The lamb and spice sausage was how sausages used to be without all the meal. The owner hand makes these little beauties. Coffee was sulerpb, service was super friendly.

Stopped in here after Gemstone Beach and we’re welcomed by a roaring fire and lovely staff. Great carrot cake and coffees/hot chocs and the main menu looked very inviting. Sadly we couldn’t stay for lunch but will be back next time!

Absolutely delightful. The food was amazing and very filling. The service was excellent. Such a great little cafe that’s well worth a visit.
