The food quality is excellent, service is fast and friendly, however the items are a little bit pricey for the serving size.
Location was very convenient and close to the beach. Line moved super quickly for ice cream. Hokey Pokey was delicious.
They didn’t have tiramisu this week but I heard really good reviews on it, but then I got the Opera Gateau 😍 and honestly was so delightful & very similar to the tiramisu as I was wanting a coffee taste.
Once again decided to revisit after being here 4 times and were certainly not dissapointed,the food was beautiful,we had the garlic pesto bread for starters...soooo good then my partner had the free range chicken pasta and for myself the Salmon,cooked to perfection,couldn't fault the dishes and absolutely made with love,our favorite wee go to,never dissapointed just good honest food 🤗

Just amazing!!! Great service and food. Very impressed!!! Definitely coming back again. I forgot to take photos of garlic bread, calamari and sticky date pudding and it’s was all super super yummeh!
Fantastic dining in Orewa, nice relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. We were with a large group and everyone had their meals served at the same time. The meal was outstanding, honestly one of the best meals out I have had in a long time. Took a pizza home for the kids as well and it they said it was one of the best with authentic puffed Italian crust. Our new favourite restaurant
Four of us had dinner in the newly renovated restaurant tonight - it was devine. Not one complaint - 10/10. Garlic bread the best we’ve ever had. Steak stunning, pork belly scrumptious, confit duck gorgeous and prawn risotto beautiful. Dessert just as good. Tasty fresh mouthwatering meals at a good price. We’ll be back for sure.
What a pleasant first time at this restaurant which is located in the quieter part of Orewa. There was lots of close parking and great views over the reserve and the ocean.
Garlic bread for starters, then we ordered two mains, pollo parmigiana and a very tender and tasty steak, both served with vegetables. Delicious desserts, creme brulee and affogato. A bottle of pinot gris from Marlborough excellent value and very drinkable. Waitresses understood their menu, were personable and friendly.
Will definitely be back.
Always good! Owner is awesome! Love this place especially during Summer. Steak is cooked to perfection every time. Views aren’t too shabby either.
Great meal, Great staff Great parking & wonderful atmosphère. The management kindly opened restaurant à half an hour before opening time as we had another important function to attend. The meals were quick & absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Looking for an authentic French tart. This is the place for you then! During the day, it operates as a cafe selling authentic French pastries made on premises, coffees, and a range of breakfast meal options. Big breakfast is just over $17 and would satisfy the biggest appetite. The cafe and also an ice cream parlor are open during the day, and the restaurant is open at night. We had morning tea in the cafe, plum tart, ham & cheese croissants, which were delicious and coffees in the morning. Iced coffees weren't impressive, although full of coffee flavor, they were too watery for our palate. We prefer thick and creamy consistency. At night, our group prebooked and went back for a meal in the restaurant. The food was absolutely superb! There is a wide range of starters, entrees , mains, and desserts to choose from. Including a separate pizza menu. Fully licensed, there is also a wide range of wines, available by glass or bottle and spirits, too. As I mentioned, the food was superb, 9 out of 10. Service was also good. Very friendly staff! Prices are average. The only suggestion I have is to play some soft music and dim lights in the restaurant to give some ambience. Of the 20 tables available, only 2 were not reserved, so I highly recommend you book beforehand. The cafe & restaurant is located on the main road into Orewa and across the street is the beach. We will be coming back for sure.
What a lovely crew at this establishment. Attentive and very friendly to compliment the great food.
Prawns were perfect, the beef cheek succulent a full of flavour.
Partner had the duck, and her only comment aside from how good it was, was that there wasn’t enough.
I would definitely return here, and would recommend to others.
Again - a big thanks to the staff. A credit to the place.

Had a delicious lunch with my husband and his colleague. Friendly, informed staff. Makes for perfect main meal of the day. The tart I had for dessert was outstanding. I would definately recommend it to others.
Right by the beach this lovely Italian restaurant has everything. Lovely Italian food, freshly baked goods and a separate ice cream parlour. The cheese and tomato bread is actually a yummy pizza.
Visited this local tonight for the first time and I have to say, we were very impressed. The food was delicious and portion sizes were great. Cannot fault Faridas at all. Was particularly impressed that they catered for vegans and were more than willing to adjust dishes to meet my vegan daughters requirements. They even had dairy free cheese. We will be back for sure.
Excellent food (surprisingly so!) pasta, food, wine and the service from our French restaurant manager was lovely and thoughtful right down to serving our wine by the glass at the table - quality service.
The only gap missing for a 5 star review was the lack of a high chair for our 18 month year old and no colouring stuff for our other small people . Stuff that adult diners don’t notice but are real issues for families.
We will definitely be back.
