Review Suwan Thai Restaurant - Orewa

The service and food we received were at an exceptional level, we ordered the pad Thai , spring rolls and a few rice dishes and you could tell they were all prepared fresh . The restaurant itself is very clean and creates a nice Thai atmosphere. The portions were really big and delicious and better than the food I tasted in Thailand !! Will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a great night!

We had a lovely family meal there during the week. The food was lovely and some not too spicy as I can't eat hot spicy food. The place was very clean and service was excellent. We would definitely go back. There were people picking up takeaway meals from there at the same time. Easy parking and close to the door. It's all on one level. This place was recommended to us and as it's so close to home, we thought we'd go. Great place for a meal.

The food was fantastic.Perfectly cooked and presented. A very good menu and plenty of options to choose from..There is a bar there as well and Pokies if you are feeling lucky... The service was first rate as well. There are many "Ordinary and Average " Thai restaurants in Auckland , this is not one of them. This one is Outstanding.. Try it , you won't be disappointed ... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED .

Really great food! We got sweet and sour pork, cashew chicken, satay sizzling Nguyen plates and they all tasted amazing! Staff were very accommodating for our large group and were good enough to put up with how loud some got as we drank more and more BYO wine. Corkage is $8.. quite steep for corkage as is usually $5 ish. Enjoyed our time anyway and the staff were great.

Suwan Thai is by far the best Thai restaurant on the Hibiscus Coast, and probably one of the best in Auckland. It is in an unassuming location, at the back of a small shopping centre, but the location in no way impacts on what is otherwise a fabulous restaurant. Price wise the meals are average to slightly above average, but you get a generous serving, and the food is absolutely top quality. It is not the kind of restaurant where you get small work of art in the middle of a plate. The meals are very satisfying, and usually a 'doggy bag' will feed me for lunch the next day too. The staff are very friendly and service is outstanding, and unlike many other restaurants, there are plenty of tables, so they can happily accommodate large groups, and even when busy, it doesn't feel crowded or noisy at all. I could recommend almost anything, but both the green and yellow curry are delicious, as is the chef's special mixed meat satay if you like something a bit sweeter. A great restaurant all round, and highly recommended.

Excellent service from really friendly stuff and all the food that was brought out was a really high quality and very tasty. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to small and large groups. A little bit strange that it has a Gaming Lounge attached but that is separated from the main restaurant so you don't hear much from there

This was recommended by a work colleague and I have to say 10 out of 10. Absolutely loved our dishes. We all shared. Generous portions followed by a lovely dessert. Definitely going again.

Our favourite Thai restaurant. We will never get sick of Suwan Thai. Always a great selection of really good food. A great family owned business. Lovely staff. Highly recommended.

searching for a good thai restaurant we came across Suwan thai on google ... We were really hungry searching for open thai restaurants and finally decided to give this a shot. It was really worthwhile. We order a fried rice and a hot spicy chicken curry with steamed rice, it tasted amazing !! We enjoyed every bite and over ate too !! Had no space left in stomach for the 'ice cream with lychee' that i wanted to try but cudnt. Will definitely come again here and recommend to friends. Great food and interior and best thai I ever had.

First up a great big thankyou, I called last night (5-7-2019) for a takeaway you were busy and was told it would take about 30min, usually it takes about 15min so I had planned my evening around that, I asked if at all possible that you could make it sooner, you did (only just over the usual 15min), so again a great big thankyou, I will be back and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone else, the food was exellent as usual. Great food. Big selection on menu. Bar area and pokies as well, intimate settings filled with gorgeous artwork. Great for groups and couples, can do takeaways as well

Suwan Thai has the best green curry that I've had in a very long time!! Huge portions, extremely quick service, and reasonable price. Highly recommended

very disappointing. our rice and<br/>roti came out...no main course.. everything cold...only 2 other tables in restaurant so not overly busy...when we complained and asked to cancel the cold meal,they still charged us corkage for the 1 glass of wine we had... then owners came out to argue with me...their customer...never before have experienced such crap service, food and cusomer service. Will never be back.

Best Thai in the Hibiscus coast. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. Great service, delicious food. Highly recommend.

The staff and the food are just fabulous. The service is always prompt and sincere even if we come just before closing time. Te food is always perfect and it always arrives quickly even when the restaurant is very busy. I can not recommend this restaurant enough to any locals and tourists in the area. 5/5 stars

Suwan Thai is a great place to unwind with friends and family. The food ranges from savory spring rolls to sweet and sour chicken. The food was delicious and the desserts were first class. I would recommend this restaurant to people who want to dine with friends in a relaxed atmosphere. Suwan Thai is also very kid friendly while offering toys and a warm welcome. I rate this restaurant 4/5 stars because of the exceptional food and the great service.
