Review The Tent - Orewa

The tent is a very beautiful place. The atmosphere is amazing, staff and owners are very welcoming and friendly. We came here to have a breakfast, we ordered egg Benedict on tent hash browns , chili scrambled egg and smashed avocado with tent hash brown they were so delicious and yummy, and large portions. Really enjoyed our breakfast. Highly recommend this amazing Tent Cafe .

Great place! Service, food quality and portions are amazing. Coffee is great, no faults i can see. The owners put a lot of love and thought into this cafe and the staff are lovely.

A must go for a solid classic breakfast! Super busy, kind staff and wait times aren't that long! Great food great coffee close to the beach so a visit to this cafe became the perfect day for us. Great selection of cabinet sweets, definitely recommended!

Lovely service and some plant based options. I enjoyed the vegan big breakfast & hubby his salmon bene. Was a rainy day but we still had great service outside from the staff.

We used to come here regularly when we worked in Orewa and have been away from the area now for many years. Popped in today and what a beautiful brunch out. Staff are so attentive and very very friendly. Very affordable meals with generous portions! Keep up the excellent customer service!

I Highly recommend the tent Cafe! I discovered them on day 1 of my visit to the area, and enjoyed brunch 2 days in a row there. I can't fault them, and they were constantly busy, so I can tell the locals love the place too. Coffee was spot on. Eggs Benedict was amazing, and they used hash browns (instead of bread of English muffins.. Genius!!!!).. The home made cabinet food looked SO GOOD and so did the rest of the menu. The staff were very friendly too. An overall great experience!! Thank you

First time here, what a great place. Served immediately after we got there despite being super busy and didn't have to wait long for lunch. The Pies are amazing as well as the rest of the food. Very impressed

Fantastic place. I got French toast, and it was delicious. Husband ordered an eggs benne with pork belly and it was equally amazing.

Just popped in out of the blue for a cup of tea and a muffin.Lovely busy atmosphere, yet still plenty of space to sit. Super friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

I'm going to be letting the cat out of the bag here, The Best 👌 Cafe in Orewa. Man 'o' man. Love your meat pie's like I do? Well go and have Carol's steak n cheese pie at Tents. Carol has got this one in the bag, pulled beef cheek in a light gravy and cheese. Pastry not to soft, but not to hard. Just prefect, Yum 😋

New owners and menu is amazing that it’s hard to pick! All our food came out at the same time. Everything taste so good ! I had the vegetarian breakfast. Nothing to fault

Good cafe right next to Countdown. Has the standard cafe selection of egg dishes, sandwiches and some good sweet items, with pub dishes for lunch & dinner. The pork ribs were cooked well, however the curly fries were cooked unevenly and were overfried, couldn't taste the potato anymore. The waitresses are friendly and prices are standard. Overall was a good experience, will probably visit again.

I’ve been here twice and had a pretty enjoyable experience both times. I think some items of the menu can be hit and miss, but most of the time tasty food and nice service.
