Review Mcdonald's - Orewa

Nice environment. Got my order right. Quick and easy. Wish they could clean the tables more though.

Credit where credit is due, and I have removed my original review. A few weeks ago I did leave a bad review, it was honest though. A string of wrong or incomplete orders. However.. my order today was perfect. Nothing missing and everything that was paid for was received. We'll done guys!

I drove just under 400 KMs to see a specialist in Warkworth,and on my trip home called into McDonald's and my daughter brought us a feed, omg I needed it lol. The burger was awesome the chips I think I forgot to chew them I was that hungry lol. The lady that served us at the window in the drive thru was really great. Go check them out but chew ya chippies

nice. they still have mccafe food (just muffins) but no one is ever at the counter because they have ordering machines now. wait was pretty long but our nuggets were fresh and they still had the chocolate lava pudding in stock after most places have run out. no bbq bandit though. they also had ice cream working and both of the new sauces in stock.

Great staff, the server picked up on my beverage glass had some residue, and she changed it. Great food, hot and tasty. Tasted fresh.

Great service, great hot food, the lady on the front counter was so busy trying to serve everyone she was incredible, she was so good with the customers and had a great beaming smile, many thanks

Just used the drive through but it was efficient, quick and both girls on duty were ever so polite. It includes a McCafe and is sited by the main road and a few minutes walk from Orewa beach.

The drive thru is very convenient. Plenty of parkings. Good location. Clean. Friendly staff. Quick. Recommended.

I would recommend travelling to McDonald's Orewa instead of going to the Stanmore Bay branch if you live on the Coast as Orewa is much better (although it's not hard to be better than the Stanmore Bay one!)

Burgers were great, happy smiling staff, helpful and a view! Best McDs I’ve had in a while👍

Its not a 1 time issue,every time we go to drive through its a mininum 10min wait

I would have given a zero, but can't. I tried to use my Monopoly vouchers today, I had saved up 7 of them for free food and wanted to have a nice feed. I was told that I could only use one per day, well the promotion ends tomorrow....... Thanks for nothing McDonalds! What a complete waste of time and effort. Do not fall into the trap, do not go to any of their substandard food outlets and certainly do not fall for their promotions. STAY AWAY FROM McDONALDS!!!!

Good modern McDonald with fast service and a clean environment, food is good and ordering is simple and easy. Can get busy at time but it is managed by the staff perfectly.

Ignore the haters! This may very well be the BEST McDonalds in the world. I have eaten 'McDees' in New York City and Japan but Orewa is easily the best. I take friends there who say 'the food looks like in the movies' like a large chips that is crispy and filled to the brim! I always see the staff engaged and having a good time, they have a younger manager there who i think is called AJ who obviously has made a huge difference to this outlet.

Sooooooo many orders have been mucked up ! Soooo sick of it !!! I can’t remember the last time I went to orewa mcdonals and they have made my order correct and given me everything I have paid for!

Stopped going here for Lunch because they always screw up my order, always. Almost every time I’ve ordered here there’s been something wrong.

I normally wouldn't bother reviewing the likes of McDonald's but this restaurant is so bad I think it deserves a mention. I'm a realist I'm not expecting fine dining or even anything half way decent it's McDonald's it's fast food UNLESS you come to McDonald's Orewa!. <br/><br/>The service here is a absolute joke! Such a joke we can't even come here for lunch and make it back to work on time !. As soon as you pull up you will be in a painfully long line then when you finally order and get to the pick up window I almost automatically drive into the maccas car parks to wait along with 10 others . <br/><br/>McDonald's is supposed to be fast food! They don't have to make every burger to order just make them to order for people who want to customise their burgers and go back to the days of making the standard menu items and putting down the shoot in to the warmer , maccas was a far superior outfit when they operated this way then they decided they valued "fresh" over customer service. There is no difference in pre making and making to order unless you customise .<br/><br/>When 99.9% of people pull in to maccas it's because they are seeking reasonable convenient food and here is the key word , they want it FAST!. I don't think for lunch (if I don't bring my own) oh I will go sit at a restaurant and have a entree and a main and leisurely enjoy myself for a hour , I'm a busy guy I'm thinking dam I forgot my lunch I need something not to expensive, convenient and fast so I don't spent my lunch break once or twice a week in a drive through. And it's not the lunch rush as we do visit at different times but same shit .<br/><br/>Next issue is freshness, they are chasing this but this outlet often falls well short , last time we went on New Year's Day all 3 of us had stale buns! We should have gone back but it was in the to hard basket by then . Awful place avoid maccas altogether if you can until they value service over "fresh" again but if you are time poor and don't like stale bread stay away from Orewa unless you want to be in a line for 20 mins then parked up waiting for 10 , hardly fast food and with all the other great options in Orewa I can honestly say we will not be back .

Yuckiest maccas experience ever. They added bacon when I asked not too. Mucked up the order and it was a salad throw-up. Go somewhere else, seriously.... Worst experience ever... Total mood spoiler.

We ordered a family box from drive through. The service was extremely slow and we were told that the price on the family box had increased from $20 to $25.<br/><br/>The family box was very well presented this time, in an olympics branded box, which has not always been the case, in the past. I do have concerns about the amount of packaging created by McDonald's meals.<br/><br/>The meals were consistent for McDonalds.

Consistently bad service, worse McDonalds I have been to. We have been let down time and time again! We tried to let them know on several occasions but nothing changed! Finally have learnt our lesson!

This is probably the dirtiest McDonalds I've been to in New Zealand. There were unfinished food lying around everywhere. Most of the tables were occupied with leftovers. No staff were picking them up which is unfortunate. They need to do what they're paid to do!<br/><br/>The food was again average as you would expect and also pricey.<br/><br/>The service was pretty much non-existent and it was mainly high school students behind the counter putting in their hours for a small paycheck.

THUMBS DOWN. This restaurant was a straight up mess and by the condition it was in, i really think the owner is careless about it's reputation. I ordered two happy meals which after 15mins of waiting, I decided to cancel my order and go to the mcdonalds in Whangaparaoa. There was a HUGE line and and nobody on service! Are the staff even trained to know that there is a BIG line in the store?! Overall this restaurant is a big failure and should have better management and the owner should actually care about it.

This is the filthiest Macca's we've been to. The floor was strewn with rubbish and the tables were not cleared nor wiped. The ladies' loos was disgusting too. We are now waiting for our food, it better not be as bad as the surroundings. I found a broom and dustpan and had to do a bit of sweeping around our table myself. Had a customer come tell me there was a spilled drink. Pull up your socks!!!Going to copy this to McDonald's HQ.

Tonight was Different..... Far different to anything i have experience at a McDonald's before. It was as if all my prayers had been answered. As i am sitting here writing this  i am wondering how could it be that a McDonald's could have managed to produce better tasting food and better customer service than a 5 star restaurant. The first thing i noticed when i walked into the store was the Freshly mopped floors.... i was dumb founded ( i am so used to the apocalyptic backdrop that is usually a McDonald's ). The next thing i noticed was the amazing customer service ( New Management i am told....Finally.. ) and now it is all beginning to make sense. McDonald's Orewa FINALLY HAS NEW OWNERS! ( And passionate ones at that ) Amazing...  and then i received my meal...... My Jaw dropped. Not only did it look better than any burger ever shown on a McDonald's Advertisement, It Actually Tasted better than a Burger Fuel and a Burger Wisconsin AND a Burger Burger!! Wow....  So,  i guess miracles can happen after all.

I find myself going through this drive-thru one too many times. I'm a bit of a cheeseburger addict. My partner and I love grabbing a convenient munch from here before heading up north. Not the best McDonald's I've been to but still - McDonald's is McDonald's.
