Review Lime Espresso Bar & Eatery - Otahuhu

I was recommended this cafe from a friend & today was my first time. I ordered for 2 of us the following: Big breakfast, Eggs Bene, 2x Large Hot chocs, bowl of fries (forgot a pic) & a side of chopped fruits = $65 ($32.50 per person). The drinks were first, food took 10mins, all were served hot/fresh & were really good portion sizes esp for the big breakfast. Loved the ambiance & customer service - the man behind the counter accommodated our needs by making sure he provided our different condiments or answering questions when we needed. The only recommendation I have is for the fruit bowls to be a bit bigger. The unique small chopped sized fruits are really tasty & refreshing, maybe a bigger portion for $8 would be even better. 10/10 strongly recommend.

Perfect blowout lunch with friends! We have been wanting to dine here however time did not permit. This is a gem. Quiet, tidy and welcoming staff. Fast service, delicious food and affordable. If you haven’t been to this place, check this out. Highly recommended. Keep up the good work guys 👍 Revisited this place with another colleague, awesome coffee and scones 👏

The staff are incredibly friendly. Super wholesome vibes. Food is always fresh, and coffee is consistently great. Their newest cabinet item, saffron infused rice pudding is heavenly! Would definitely return just for that alone.

Ok mind blown today when I discovered this hidden gem! I actually always go by this place coz my doc is a couple of doors down but today a friend said we should check it out for our catch-up and man so glad we did! Had the eggs bene and my mate had pancakes with bacon and yummmmmm had some tea and a mocha with their store made choc sauce! Will definitely be back 🥰😊

Had an amazing coffee here this morning. One of the best in a long time made by a young man named Mani! Coffee was strong, hot and tasty just the way it should be. Will be returning for his coffees.

It's a cosy nook at the top of the road, a tidy little place with a nice open friendly vibe where you can get a great coffee and some pretty damn good food at a reasonable price. First time here, I beat the traffic leaving home early and stopped for a coffee before heading to work in Mt Wellington. What a fantastic idea! Had my leisurely breakfast of eggs bene which is amazing, generous servings and LOADS of the lovely hollandaise, which is always good! nice bacony bacon, spinach a perfect poachie on a split english muffin (not buttered, don't know if that's normal?) great anyway, the sauce made up for the missing butter. The service is warm and friendly like the venue, the food I had was very good and leaving for work early could become a regular thing! JUST AN IDEA - spend a wee bit more, get a buttered bap and make yourself an eggs bene bap for lunch! Happy Days!

Beautiful presentation. Love the aesthetics in the shop. Beautiful wall ornaments and paintings. Friendly service. Great food. Ordered the Eggs benedict with bacon and brioche french toast. One of the standout businesses in Otahuhu for me. Highly recommend to all. Support local businesses Update 07/07/21 Dined in today. Eggs Benedict and some fries on the side. Food was delicious, well presented and as always great customer service. Was reassuring to see staff frequently cleaning table tops not only from a cleanliness pov but in response to the impact of COVID-19

Had the eggs benedict with bacon this morning. It was really nice, the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The hollandaise sauce was very tasty.

Lime Espresso Bar in Otahuhu offers Althea espresso and heir coffee is excellent! The girls at the cafe are so friendly and inviting and it’s the food is fantastic! My favourite dishes are the chicken salad and the Kikorangi mushrooms. The food is so reasonably priced and the quality is excellent! I’m also a fan of their eggs benedict too, simply yum! One of the best coffee/breakfast cafe in Otahuhu. Their Spinach and Feta Quiche is a must try. Best shake for me - Banana Shake.

The quicje they have are so delicious - you've got to try one. The hardest decision will be choosing which one to buy so you may to have to buy the whole selection of Bacon, Chicken, Salmon or Spinach :)

Came here as an impulse for our wedding anniversary brunch. Best decision ever! We usually go out of Otahuhu for special occasions so it's refreshing to find a decent place locally! We ordered eggs benedict and the chicken avo sandwich w fries. Was as amazing as it looked! Good value and generous portion sizes! Highly recommend A+++ don't forget to leave a tip!

The pastries are really good. But WOW! The Steak Sandwich is the best one I ever had! Not expecting an espresso bar to have a good steak sandwich- but this is definitely a great find! (And this is from an Aussie)

Yummy food, i had the eggs Benedict with salmon & a side of avocado, & a dark mocha with caramel, all of it was super delicious, & there was a timer to tell when your tea has been properly brewed & ready to drink. It was a relaxed place to just take time out & chill

Came here for Saturday brunch just as the F45ers had finished a class. The cafe got really busy but service was still quick and with great food.

Went in after seeing they serve Altura coffee which generally has high standards. Grabbed a double shot flat white, paid extra for the extra shot! And 15 minutes on after getting my takeaway coffee it’s just cooling down enough to sip. Burnt to smithereens and tastes awful. What a shame they carry good beans but the female barista who made the coffee completely ruined a very simple drink. Id recommend avoiding this place if you want a drinkable coffee

The place is pretty good of you are looking for a cheap cafe place to eat in Otahuhu. Note the prices are not up to date on here.
The food is all good, nothing mind blowing but it feels the spot. How ever it wasn't overly quick at getting our tables orders out - I think this is because they run out of some items for two members food and had to pop over to the fruit and vege shop!
The coffee was all good as well :)

A great place in South auckland. Great cofee and menus great as well. Have cofee and scones, wraps, brwonies nearly everyday and everything is sweet as. worth the money.

Nice quiet place with great food and service. Portions are worth the price you pay. Only fault is that coffee froth was watery and not foamy as you can see on picture, would rather have no froth then the way it came out. Other than that, would recommend to all.

This place use to be 5*👌😍 but since the head chef/Manager left (Claudia Rakoia) the food standards have dropped tremendously.Besides that the Barista(Darling) is still there working her magic with her delicious coffees. I hope that the new chef picks her game up because atm it'll be her why they would loose there regulars.

Caught up with friends for brunch and a chin wag and definitely agree with reviews. Service was great and unfortunately I was too late for the Avocado and Fish of the Day (will go earlier to beat the rush). I ended up with one of their lunch time sandwiches which was huge (think burger with fries) and unable to finish. I can see why one of our friends is a weekly breakfast diner there, will be back ladies!

The most decent cafe I've personally found in the Otahuhu area.
I'm happy to say this is a regular hangout now.

Always welcomed with a smile from all the staff.

Food is really REALLY well priced and the portion sizes are great.
This place has the best eggs bene that I've had in such a long time.
======================
I've amended my review :) had lunch again here with a friend, rated a 4 to a 5. Coffee was a lot better, tried the Avocado Smash with a side of Holandaise sauce 😍😍

Thank you to the lovely ladies at Lime for "letting me know you read these reviews" 😂 Until next time 👍🏼

Location 5/5
Parking 5/5
Service 5/5
Food 5/5
Coffee 5/5
Pricing 5/5

Had their grilled beef salad and it was beautiful... big portions, great flavour and overall a very tasty salad. Staff are very friendly and service is great! Definitely going back:)

My favourite morning drink is what I bought from here (Two words, starts with 'H' and ends with 'E'). I gotta say out of all the Hot Chocolates I've tried in the region, this has got to be the most sweetest I've tried. Even with the rejection of marshmallows, it was still sweet. It's great because it was definitely the wake-up call I needed with the energy from the sugar before we started doing our weekend shopping spree in Otahuhu.

The person who served me was really down-to-earth and friendly. The waiting time wasn't that either, so I decided to dine in instead of going out.

Inside the cafe there are tables and stools and it's very spacious. Seems like they can add more stuff around to make it more filling. Other than that cafe that creates the best sweetest hot chocolate.
