The best roasted pork I ever have!!! The crispy skin and the best match spring onion! It make the prefect roasted pork, universally delicious. How I wish I could have the recipe so that I still can have it when I’m no longer in Auckland!!!

Delicious food and good prices

This has been my go to since the early 2000s on my visits here. We moved to Auckland recently I am grateful that this place still remains. Everything they serve is the best in Auckland. 💯❤️

Surprise surprise surprise! At Otahuhu for business purpose, way over lunch time starving. Quickly found this small Cantonese BBQ, cheaper than what I usually have in central area. It was unexpectedly tasty! Love it❤️

Love this place with a passion,friendly safe environment, the owners are friendly and the food is always hot and fresh..

The food is delicious for great price. One thing I concern is there's one lady in the kitchen staring at me while i'm eating and it's make me nervous :|

Came by while in the area based on reviews. Was not disappointed. Very succulent delicious crispy roast pork, goes well with spring onions on the side, next time will ask about chilli sauce too. Definitely will be back. Thank you!

Amazing! Best roast duck and BBQ pork 😋

Love this place! I always order the BBQ pork, it can be a bit hit and miss sometimes with the pork being dry but it's usually so good! Really busy during the lunch rush but the staff serve you very quickly. Would highly recommend BBQ pork and the chicken wings.

Place seemed good, decent reviews. My excitement was apparent when I was met with hot duck and roast pork with beautifully crackled skin, paired with a small pot of "duck juice". All is going good so far...<br/><br/>As I write this review from the comfort of my toilet, I look back at what I've eaten, and whats caused my stomach such great pain. And then it hits me - both the diarrhea and the memory of plating up the included vegetables with rice. The smell was a bit funky, it took me back when I used to live in Otahuhu, and we had a creek in the backyeard where all kinds of weird things used to grow. Thats what the smell and taste reminded me of. Such a shame that it ruined what was otherwise an above average meal. Definitely wont be ordering veges from here again.

Do yourself a favour and get a #14 and squeal in delight because you can actually grab a mean feed for under $10. Go for chilli if you’re that way inclined and a can drink so you have a full lunch for about $12. This place serves delicious food with huge portions should you dine in and still relatively decent portions if you take away. Lovely service have been coming here for years and will continue until they close probably. Fave spot if I’m poor and fave spot on pay day too haha keep doing what you’re doing guys it’s a recipe for success

We had a very satisfying meal on a Saturday afternoon. The serving size was big and the roast chicken was so flavoursome and tender. The rice was soaked with the sauce that they poured on the chicken and it tasted really really good. Makes the plain rice so flavourful. We ordered a roast duck with rice and roast chicken with rice for only $19. Highly recommended!!

Havent been here for a while. Came today after school. For $9 you will get a very generous plate. We ordered the roast pork and BBQ pork. The BBQ pork has a lovely sweetness to it. Lovely colour. The roast pork is juicy with crunchy pork crackling. The rice is cooked well and has a lovely sauce poured on top. It has a serving on the side of this spring onion salad type thing. I have always enjoyed that and a new thing on the plate is like a shredded potato and onion salad? They use to have greens. Did not care much for the potato thingy. The rest of the plate was delicious. I think this place is another hidden gem that is good value for money. Service us fast and friendly.

Been going to Double Haps for years and for what you pay its well worth it. <br/><br/>It has dropped its standards somewhat in terms of its signature dish the Peking duck. Flavour is up and down. Plain crispy duck when its down and full of flavour when they nail it. Avoid if you arent a fan of aniseed. Use to eat there a lot but have stopped going as much due to the inconsistencies of the ducks flavour.<br/><br/>BBQ pork and  roast pork are always good. Roast pork may have a little too much fat for some as its the belly thats used. Pretty plain but the crackling is always on point. <br/><br/>I find the roast chicken always a little salty. Think its brined first and the salt is concentrated on the skin. If they have any chicken wings then they are always good. Cooked with the same flavour as the BBQ pork. Not a regular menu item so its hit and miss whether they have any most times.<br/><br/>Again, for what you pay its a great meal with good bang for buck. Make sure you get chilli and dont miss the spring onion relish type side.

Been coming here for years , I only get the BBQ pork on rice , it's always consistent, tastes great and food is served fast , great place to stop and get a quick takeaway lunch and very well priced.

Quick, cheap, nice people, constantly good taste. Hard to find place which has constant tender and good barbeque/roasted pork, even duck and chicken in Auckland. Not even the expensive places. This place has it.

Recommended by all the boys on the Factory floor of S&T/Tata Stainless in E.Tamaki. Have been faithfully phone ordering from here for over 12yrs. Roast Pork n Rice, BBQ Pork n Rice & Soy Chicken n Rice Plate Lunches were the favs.  The place is small with seating for only small groups. Would struggle to seat a netball team in here. It is relatively clean n the service is fast and efficient

Fav pork on rice place. I've tried bbq pork, roast chicken, duck, ribs and chicken wings best by far. Decent portions, affordable and reasonable wait time. This place is usually busy.

This place is the best Chinese BBQ place in town. I used to work at Mt. Wellington, my week is not complete without my dose of double happy.

These guys have the best Roast Pork on Rice I've ever had. Prices are good too. Staff are awesome. Grace has a mega memory and it's gotten to the point that I don't even have to ask for my order anymore lol!

Love this place! By far the best bbq pork on rice I tasted and the chicken wings delish! Price is very reasonable, inside is a bit dated but it's the food I go for not the decor.

The BEST roast duck I have EVER HAD! Not a fine dining restaurant, not an upmarket restaurant, just a small Chinese shop. Ive lost count of how many times Ive visited this place and the duck is perfect every time. I give it a 5/5 just for the food. Nothing else.

Delicious BBQ pork, Roast Pork &amp; Duck. Generous portions and the price doesn't do it justice. You can ask for extra chilli and extra spring onions which I always do, it makes so much more flavoursome. My family are regulars here and now all my friends are too. One of the reasons I love living in Otahuhu.

My family and I have been coming to this place for just over 7/8 years and the food never changes! The pork is AMAZING! BBQ or Roast, the vege is fresh and YUMM! And the service is Great! Will definately recommend to everyone!!

The BEST BBQ pork on rice you will ever have in your life! If they do one thing well, it's BBQ pork on rice. Chicken wings are yummy too.
