Nice little meal. Good beer. Very friendly personal

Tasty meals, cosy and entertaining atmosphere, welcoming staff! Pets are welcomed, or at least dogs (so don't bring your possum pet just in case!) They offer meals from breakie to dinner, and tasty beverages. Their battered fish and chips was something i will recommend to try. The extra treat is the sea view from the outside tables!

A decent spot at the beginning of the Paihia strip. Best for breakfast. Dinner service was friendly and attentive. Warm atmosphere and live music on some nights. The Chowder entreé was really good. Eggs Benedict with salmon for breakfast is the go. Menu is a bit pricey ($24+ for a burger), but that’s Paihia for you.

Lovely restaurant with great views of the sea. Seems to be further away from the main shops which may be why it was empty why we went but the food was nothing short of amazing. Massive fish bowls, with chocolate freakshakes, delicious beef brisket burgers... My go to for a reliable great quality, out of the box meal.

Seating available inside & out, and the look of the food was incredible , photos don’t do enough justice. Everything was delicious and fresh and DELICIOUS 😋

Very friendly staff serving super delicious food in a nicely decorated, atmospheric place. Everything is cooked fresh for you - no junky fast food here! The price tag is not the lowest but I'll gladly come here any time again. The only thing that was a bit cheeky, though: a single slice of toasted Ciabatta for $2. Still, it was very delicious :)

Very nice dining experience, very nice environment, the kitchen was quick to get our breakfast meals out especially as there were a few customers dining in. Is just across the road from the beach and based in a good location.

Great atmosphere and flavours, portions though, were a too small for the prices. We went for dinner and ordered duck pate, calamari and then the mains. We paid $38.5 for the fish market main (salmon). Even though the flavour wise was great, I have eaten better and more; Portions, as mention before, weren’t compatible with the prices...

It was okay, my latte was nice but a bit too sweet, just tell them next time not to put too much syrup in. I got this thing with an egg on top it was different to what I thought it was I thought it was a quiche with bacon and egg or summin and it wasn't warmed up... If it was it was cold by the time it got to me. As was the lemon muffin which was a bit sweet... Other than that I still ate them both.

Very good cafe on the road, i like coffee here. For vegetarians, there is are a options, but you have to modify it. See the picture baby spinach with bearnaise sauce ( made up of egg and yogurt and tomato) on roasti ( roasted potatoes) with beans in tomato gravy. Excellent veg dish.

We visited at lunch time on the weekday and it was not busy at all. Friendly staff took out toys and blocks for the children. Heaps of items to choose from the menu. The mini pizza from the kids menu is cute.

Dropped in to Alfrescos for a quick bite before our intended visit to Kawiti’s caves to see the glow worms....we blame Alfresco for missing the worms but we got a great feed instead! We aived about 2pm - 2 adults, 2 kids and a baby so I think they were over the main luncheon rush - we certainly felt they gave us ample attention and help with everything. The kids loved the distractions...colouring in and toys for the rug crawler. I loved the oysters - super fresh, the seafood chowder full of ki moana. We also got the bread selection, olives, the mussels, and the Paua starter - now how often do you see Paua on the menu! We ha a couple of glasses of the Chalice Sauvignon Blanc to quench us, and our hostess even found time to take a family photo - thanks! We would thoroughly recommend Alfresco for a family or for grown ups looking for a great informal dining experience in Paihia.

Delicious food and great service, couldn't fault a single thing. Even allowed a little bit of substitution to cater for me, which was really appreciated! I couldn't pick a favourite... But the chocolate tart was incredible! Chilled atmosphere with a great playlist in the background.

Had a lovely late lunch. Service was great, very attentive staff. We loved the decor and vibe. Food was yummy (we had the antipasto platter, fresh oysters, and a few drinks) The cocktails and mocktails were awesome! Will definitely come back. Dog friendly, so well behaved pooches are welcomed!

Incredibly perfect meals. For my partner, a perfect vegetarian meal. For me, the most succulent lamb with amazing accompaniments. Friendly service. Good value too!
