Just wow 🤩 food was so fresh roast was moist and tender heaps of veges and lots of flavour and portions were so good a man working tonight went above and beyond. So customer service is great Rolls were so delicious very filling amazing filled rolls with moist tender roast meat and a full mesclun salad inside the roll this was everything . Highly recommend this place for those who are sick of dry roast meats lol enjoy

ORDERED: 1x Large Pork Pita Pocket - $10.50 1x Small Lamb Pita Pocket - $8.50 4x Potatoes - $0.70 ea 2x Feijoa & Apple Smoothies - $5.80 Well first time here, and walked in and kind of didnt expect too much. but Was I wrong. The taste was fresh and the portion of the large pita pocket was just surprisingly big. The smoothies were delicious and they chucked in pork crackling as well. We will definitely come here again. I usually buy my roast pork from Sam's Roast in Pakuranga but thought that I'd try Charms as it is a 5 minute walk from my house. Being a low carb diet can be difficult to accommodate to but I find that roast places can usually cater to my diet. I always buy 300g of pork and will sometimes add 4x kumara to the mix if I want a treat, then nothing else. Sam's roast charges me around $29 for 300g of pork and 4x kumara. When I asked for the same at Charms, I was surprised when the server said that my order comes to a total of just under $19. I thought that there must be something wrong with the taste perhaps lol but man was I wrong. It's better than Sam's! The pork is moist and the crackling actually breaks and melts into your mouth. Cracking at Sam's is a hit and miss. Most of the time, I will bite into the crackling then have to pull it with my teeth away from my hand because it is sometimes chewy. Other times its is solid like a rock. Most of the time I have to throw it out because Im sure it will break my teeth one day lol. The kumara at Charms is also a lot better. It actually looks like it's been roasted. Sam's ones look like they've been boiled then lightly browned in an oven. Anyway, apart from how amazing the price and food are, the service is pretty good too. I'm so glad I stopped today to give it a try. You've just stolen another customer from Sam ^_^

Looks like your typical roast shop but it's definitely not. I've never experienced such bang for my buck at a roast shop. My local in onehunga is like $12 for a small roll with no salad (ew sad) this place $8.50 for a fat crunchy roll filled with whatever salad + sauces you want. IT WAS SO GOOD if you're starving rn and googling "places open near me" GO TO THIS PLACE #noregrets would literally drive all the way from onehunga to go here again.

I surprised to see any negative comments here. I have been a casual at Charms for many years and have been pleased to recommend them to others. The meat is delicious and the serving size excellent with very fair pricing all making part of the reason we keep going back. Very nice owners as well.

Very nice roast meat good portions and sizing of meals. Maybe a little heavy on the roast potatoes but will always substitute for kumara if required. Great staff and no fat on meat unless request it.

Fortunately I live locally to this gem of Pakuranga. The service is great, easy parking.<br/>Now, the food. Delicious. I love the golden potatoes. and If you order a fried chicken dinner they take it off the bones for you, as is the Asian tradition. Gravy is NOT bland. It's fantastic.Their rolls are a cut above the rest, which makes this  place stand out. They make one similar to a Pita Pit, which is LOADED with fresh raw veges and their meat. For the same price as a roll you get elsewhere, which has just meat and a few measly bits of lettuce, you get a roll packed with meat and veges. They also do nice smoothies and have some nice home made desserts.Highly recommended.Screw Flanders.

I ordered a Lamb, beef and chicken dinner with extra potato, kumera and pumpkin. The meat was very tasty and tender. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. I called in the order and was able to have it collected in 10 mins. Great service, awesome prices and the containers we packed solid with amazing food. I will definitely be buying here again!

Love this little place staff are great service is great. The 2 people are doing an amazing job. The roast sandwich is yummy yummy 😋 I totally recommend this shop for a quick snack or take meal. The take out meals are so good. Portions are perfect meat is so tender and breads are so fresh. 😋😋

Bought charms roast whole chickens for our staff Xmas party. Very well priced and the best chicken I’ve had. They even opened out of hours so that I could pick the chickens up early.

service was great, staff is nice and friendly. I had a lamb roast meal and eveything was fine except for the gravy, which tasted very watery and bland (i had to add my own salt to flavour it). Other than that, the rest was average but good if you're looking for a decent roast meal.

Had a small lamb roast. Upon entering, the lady at the counter happily greeted me.<br/><br/>Potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crispy, lamb was tender and went well with the mint sauce it comes with. Gravy was okay. The peas and carrots were.......... just like peas and carrots.<br/><br/>Only complaint is that the lamb was still fatty despite being trimmed.<br/><br/>I haven't been to enough roast shops to compare it to. So  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 3.5/5？<br/>

So fresh and homely. This roast establishment defied my expectations and would be a must for those living around the Pakuranga area.<br/><br/>I ordered a medium pork, a great indicator in my opinion of Roast establishments. I loved the potatoes they were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The potatoes here was cooked to almost perfection.They give you a lot of carrot, a bit too much in my opinion but the vegetables did make me feel less fat, which helps mentally I guess. The pork had a freshly roasted flavour which meant there was no gamey taste rather a nice rich deep pork flavour. <br/><br/>I applaud Charms for there seasoning, often a lot of roast places you can just taste the abundance of salt but not here at charms with their meals excellently salted and seasoned <br/><br/>Showstopper: Would definitely come back for roasts.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: A-

Went here almost every week because the food was amazing. They now have new owners and they’re slow and don’t really know what they’re doing (main lady). The foods still good but takes ages.

I went for a quick bite at Pakuranga. I had a go at Gu Xiang Malaysian some time ago & wasn't impressed. So I went next door instead - Charms Roast. For a medium chicken meal, I had 2 drum sticks & a thigh, with potatoes, pumpkin, kumara, carrots, beans & gravy - too much for a single person. Taste-wise, excellent for a fast food.  I did have some pork cracklings - crispy & lovely.

Best Roast shop in Auckland!  Roast Kumera's  are  just AWESOME  , We call in at lest once a week some times twice. Service is TOP's  Can't wait till they get back to work Tomorrow. After a Break! They deserved it! Now come and Feed Me!!!

Not a high end dining place - but a takeaway store with excellent succulent meat! Their pork and crackling is absolutely divine! I recommend their Paninis (these are actually wraps - much better and cheaper than the Pita Pit across the road) - they also give you an option to add gravy to your wrap - divine on a cold day! Friendly staff! Great place for a quick lazy night!

My absolute favourite roast shop. I literally drive past 3 different roast shops to get to this one but it's totally worth it. They have all the usuals - beef, lamb, chicken and pork, rolls sandwiches, pitas and a range of salads available to compliment the breads. :-)<br/><br/>The roast lamb is beaut. So soft and so tender and the carver always takes great care to remove all the fat in each slice. The potatoes are too seriously delicious. Soft on the inside and very lightly battered - when they're drenched in the gravy, it's to diiiiiie for. :-)<br/><br/>Definitely recommend :-)<br/><br/>

Late lunch as usual for a busy spring day. Had a lamb roll but what stood out was theur offering of a large range of additional sauces as options to your usual outlet. Eg I got the dijon mustard off the list 7 or so additional to the gravy and apple sauce. Lamb was lean and not oily as I didn't get indegestion Ate as I drove so no picture. They also sell a good range of more healthly bottled sodas eg the organic ones.

Second and the last visit here. If I could rate 0 I would! My partner ordered the roast chicken and while eating he noticed that it was pink. He told the lady at the counter very nicely that it was not cooked properly. She responded very rudely and said it was "fresh chicken" while denying to acknowledge that the chicken was so "fresh" that it wasn't cooked properly... <br/><br/> $11 for edible vegetables on gravy... I would never recommend this place, unless you like uncooked food served by rude Asians

Been here a couple of times. The meat was tasty & veges fresh. Very clean & friendly. The crackling in one order was weird though, deep fried? But the normal crackling is nice. Really good.

Been here twice for the Pork roast. Both times the pork has been very tasty and the service is very friendly, the cleanliness of the restaurant is also high standard. The vegetables in my first visit were more fresh than the second time, my partner shares the same thoughts. Prices are very reasonable.
