Second time we've been, thoroughly enjoyed both. Food is exceptionally delicious, perfect sized portions, fantastic flavour. Charming, elegant service. Intimate, low light dining. Recommend as a treat with your partner, date night, or gathering of close friends!

Went there as we were staying nearby for our anniversary and it had been recommended to us. Atmosphere, service and food was exceptional, absolutely delicious food! Would definitely recommend to others

Arrived without a booking but the lovely staff found us a table. The service was superb and so was our food. Definitely worth booking as this restaurant was really busy.

My salmon is average. Pork belly and fish of the day are beautiful, especially pork belly, a must try. Friendly and prompt service, however there is a surcharge for credit card.

Really delicious food, nice atmosphere, and an amazing waitress 'Hannah' to top it off. Definitely recommend !

We had dinner at Table 188.. Absolutely loved it. The food was perfect and not forgetting the dessert it was delicious. The staff was so friendly. Kid friendly which is a plus for me. Definitely worth trying out. Will go back again.

Went there because we heard that they did a great steak. We were very happy. Wife had the Pork Belly, which was also great. Followed by the Creme Brule very nice. Great service and atmosphere.

What can I say...this place was amazing!! Exceptional service and the food was unbelievably delicious, even had dessert because the meals were that phenomenal, was the highlight of our weekend. Will be revisiting next time we are in palmerston north, highly recommended 5 star quality

Another lovely evening at Table 188. The Main Special was Beef Wellington, done to perfection. You cut the meat with a butter knife. And as for the Chicken Roulade, juicy and tender, delicious. And if you love chocolate? Then you need the Cheesecake dessert. Cheers Ryan and thank you Jaz for looking after us. See you next time.

An unplanned stop in after an early movie had my tastebuds dancing for joy after ordering the chicken breast stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes on a bed of wild mushroom risotto. The combination of flavours on the plate was so good, the chicken moist & flavoursome & the risotto was heaven on a plate. �Fortunately we dined early as they were fully booked for the night but managed to squeeze us in before later bookings arrived. The atmosphere was good & the service wonderful (my hubby does enjoy a restaurant that comes to check your drink requirements as soon as your glass is empty �) and, for this type of restaurant, the meals were a good size. Well done team, we'll definitely be returning.

I think Table 188 is definitely among the top Palmerston North restaurants. We have been regular patrons since they first opened in Featherston Street and the food and service has always been consistently first class. Really enjoy the cocktail menu as well. Very civilised.

Booked this restaurant for my nieces 21st, dined there Sunday night 16/8 everyone was extremely happy with their meals. Food was absolutely delicious. Prawns as an Entree were to die for, pulled pork spring rolls, absolutely yum, steak perfectly cooked. Service excellent. Top notch restaurant. 5/5 I will definitely be returning loved the food!!

The service was superb, the friendly, professional and accommodating nature of the maitre d was received by all our party. The food was scrumptious, well presented and by far the best all of our party has tasted in Palmerston North. I would highly recommend this restaurant, it is outstanding.

Was privileged to be taken here for my birthday and then took my Mum for her birthday for hers - amazing service, fantastic meals and if it was in the US, the tip would be huge. Prices really great for the informative info on the dishes and what we were actually served was great value for money. For the bad reviewers - you need to go to a few more restaurants before putting such sh*t reviews as you have no concept of great service and dishes.

Had great service last night at Table 188. The food was amazing and the issue we did have was resolved by their management today professionaly with empathy. I was very impressed and cant wait to go back. Thanks Amy and team.

Not often out for dinner however what a wonderful experience, atmosphere , service, efficiency, hospitality was fantastic. The food was amazing, great variety on offer, we shared prawns and enjoyed the fish and venison. A little gem in palmy north and strongly recommend the place. Food is very expensive for what you get, outdoor area did not have very good shelter, nor did it have clean seats. One toilet for the entire place. Very disappointed in the food and service. Will not be returning. I suggest you don't waste your money for average food.

Came here with a friend for our monthly dinner. Fabulous food, fabulous service, fabulous wine. It was superb. Very pleased for Table 188 that they've moved into town. One PNth's best dining experiences.

Palmy's hidden treasure. Our entrée, mains and desserts were all delicious and throughout the evening we were looked after by the wonderful team. Overall lovely experience and we highly recommend to all family and friends.

I was part of a group of people that went for a bite to eat based on the 188 Featherston st experience Our group was bitterly disappointed with service and food was very average. The male waiter looked eerily like one of the former owners of bellas. Who were giving out vouchers up until they closed

Shame about the customer service which spoilt a birthday dinner. $180 demanded for 2 couples that were unable to make it at the last minute. All 15 that did show up wont be returning to Table 188 again. Paid 50% & left on a sour note. Very disappointing.

A great night ruined - my husband and I went out for dinner to celebrate some good news, we had heard the food was good at Table 188 so thought we'd give it a chance. Everything was going well, starter and mains were very yummy but then came dessert. We were eating away when a caterpillar started dancing around on one of the meringues. When the waiter came over to ask how everything was we said good apart from the caterpillar. The waiter was apologetic to start with, he took away the meringue and caterpillar. When he came back he said under the lights it just looked like it could possibly be lime zest (no mention of lime on the menu btw) we assured him it was moving and off he went. When we came to pay the maitre d was an absolute ar**hole, when my husband mentioned the caterpillar he said well I don't believe it was a caterpillar, how would it get there? Vince said there was greenery on the plate it obviously came from that, to which the maitre d replied I personally washed all that so its not possible it must have been part of the stalk. Vince told him it was Cleary moving freely away, it was a caterpillar. Very unfortunate that one guys terrible attitude and bad service has spoiled our night and meant we won't recommend this restaurant but will rather steer people away due to the arrogant staff and bad customer service.

Was pretty good! Service was nice, food was great but the highlight of the meal was the dessert. Mango sorbet and panacotta. Thanks guys.

Went here today for Mothers Day.............WOW! 6 of us had the best food in a long time. The prawns were amazing. Belle and Jedd loved their meals and they were so helpful with Jedds egg allergy. We are coming back again!!! Thank you.

Understaffed with full house.... waiter rude to my wife...dirty plates left on tales for 1 1/2 hrs... half the table finished mains before other arrive... very average and won't go back.
