Review Cafe Brie - Palmerston North

Small Cafe with a great chef. Had the mushrooms on toast, absolutely delicious. Warm friendly staff and decent coffee. Free water flavoured by marigolds made it a really refreshing drink. Recommended ❤️

Had eggs benedict, hollandaise was bland and barely any given with meal. Staff were friendly and the cabinet food looked good. Coffee was tasty.

Beautifully presented food. Hollandaise sauce was a little thin and lacked seasoning. Otherwise a good meal.

Excellent service and delicious food on a lovely setting. My turmeric latte was so tasty and so was the buttermilk chicken salad. The salad itself is very tasty and full of lots of different vegetables and very filling. My husband had the omelette which was also very nice, and our friend had lambs fry which was also top notch. I would definitely recommend this place over many other cafes in town. The tight policing of the vaccine pass on entry made me feel very reassured to eat here. We will be back.

Really enjoyed our experience here. We were well looked after and food came quicker than expected. The Fish n Chips was delicious, particularly the fish, which was perfectly cooked - flaky and tender - and the side salad. The omelette was a great shot of protein for the day and delicious too. We’ll be back!

We recently used Brie to cater for a finger food birthday lunch for 90. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and received lots of compliments. There is an extensive catering menu including veg, v, and GF options. They were very responsive and friendly to deal with especially Shay and everything was ready on time. We ordered 6 items pp plus sweets. Next time I would order slightly more as everyone loved it!

Absolutely lovely meals for our meeting with family today, great service, fresh and yummy dishes all round, so will be back to try more menu choices especially as easy parking and made to feel very welcome. Thank you Girls on Duty today.

Great flat white is very rare to find these days. Attentive staff and busy as. Always a good sign. We had Egg Benedict and Beef Burger for our brunch. Perfect.

Spectacular service, very welcoming. Best French toast in Palmy. Light texture Brie bread melt in your mouth with aromatic syrup. Spacious seating. Overall this cafe brings you to a relaxing sunny afternoon French atmosphere.

It is such a lovely place! I highly recommend this place for breakfasts and branches! Food was really great! Very delicious and presentation is fantastic👌🏻😻

Edit: I was contacted shortly after I posted my reply by Meagan, who was professional and apologetic about my experience. She offered for me to come in to Cafe Brie again and have a flat white remade for me at no cost. I came here today and again the staff were very polite and welcoming, and the coffee was fantastic. I can now highly recommend this place through the effort that was put in to rectifying not even a one star review. (Previously 3 stars.) The coffee was made excellently today. Thanks so much. Came in here for a coffee this afternoon. Usually I order a latte but I thought I'd have a flat white (takeaway). Got handed the cup and instantly thought this is suspiciously light, opened it and saw the coffee had even more froth than a cappuccino should have. Was pretty disappointed. On the other note, the service was very friendly and I had a pistachio macaron which was amazing. Overall, sweet place but I will not be coming back here for coffee.

The food is sublime, definitely loved the eggs benedict 10/10 Their smoothies are a must try, banana smoothie with cinnamon sugar, just amazing 🤤

Very impressed! My 4yr old had the fish bites and chips and I was impressed it find it was actual terakihi cut small and crumbed. Everything was delicious! My mushroom bacon pasta of the day was light and fully of colour and quality ingredients. The little plate of lollies for my daughter while we waited was a surprise and a lovely touch. Will definitely go again and highly recommend to others.

Fabulous meal and atmosphere. Found it by accident. Highly recommend for dinner. Bit pricey but worth it.
