Awesome meal with great atmosphere & service. I got the Beef Cordon Bleu special & my wife got the Chicken Satay. Serving size was great and flavour was bang on.

Service and staff were very good, even though they were very busy when we were there. Barman found us a table even though they were all reserved. Recommend the Beef and Guinness Stew and Chicken Satay dishes.

My husband and myself decided to go to Palmerston North for the night and go somewhere different for dinner. After plenty of consideration and talking we decided to come here . Boy we made the right decision we started with garlic bread then I had the shrimp cocktail followed by Guinness Stew and for dessert I had a caramel cheesecake. My husband had the 600g rib on the bone (tomahawk steak). We both thougherly enjoy our meal and Rajdeep was ever so friendly

The wife and I went here on Monday 2nd January 2023. Started with the garlic bread and the wife had the shrimp cocktail. We then moved on to the mains, the wife had the Guinness Stew and I had the 600g rib on the bone (tomahawk steak) All I can say is everything was bloody brilliant. The wife raved about the stew and I had one of the best steaks. Rajdeep was very polite and helpful, as for the lads in the kitchen, awesome food. When we go to Palmerton North we will definitely be back.

Neat little pub. Looks like an old English pub. Friendly accomodating team on. 3 of us ordered and it all came out at the same time. Quite busy so a bit of a wait. Food was ok. Chicken Parma was quite bland. Quite big portions. I would come again for a beer or maybe a more signature dish, the beef and Guinness stew was nice. Maybe I just picked the wrong meal.

We struck the jackpot when we decided to eat here. Excellent meal and fantastic service. Very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was just a little noisy for us oldies but otherwise can't fault the place. Visiting Palm. Nth and would high recommend the place. Many thanks guys You are doing an awesome job.

The meals were great ... when we finally got them. We booked a party with a large group (25) weeks in advance, yet they seemed awfuly short staffed. Some of our group waited 2 hours for their meals, which were great sizes ansbtasted amazing. The only other let down was the gas fires, omg, the smell of gas was horrendous, several of us ended up with headaches and having to go outside for fresh air. Service was amazing though (no table servers just 1.5 guys behind the bar taking orders and getting drinks.

What a great English pub in Palmerston North!! Staff were excellent, beer very well priced and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

Decent feed, reasonably priced and the meal was huge, I got a sandwich thinking it would be a light meal but the bread was slightly toasted in butter which to my surprise was really delicious hard to eat it as it was so big I was not disappointed!

Have been here a few times for dinner. Food is nice. Nothing FABULOUS. Had lamb shanks. Perfectly cooked but bland in taste.Steak was good the first time but tough the next time we went. Meal sizes are good. .Bar staff are friendly. Not much interaction with other staff.. A casual Ambience.

Always enjoyed the food here and the barman always remembers what your drinking, however the inside décor is starting to look grubby and spoils the first impression.

Stopped in for lunch with my partner on Monday, and although it was quiet the pub seemed a good spot with a trickle of diners coming through.

We tried the Asian Steak Salad and the butter chicken wrap, and a couple of drinks (Tetley's & an OJ) to enjoy with the meal.

The Asian steak was good, spicy satay style with crunchy noodles and a nice fresh salad, and a good sized serving for $18, leaving me well fed.

The butter chicken wrap wasn't so successful. Standard butter chicken pieces and sauce poured over a pita wrap and a side salad turning them soggy. Impossible to assemble as a wrap, and the butter chicken was a bit tough and tasteless (breast meat) which did not seem to have spent much time simmering with the sauce.

Service was OK, you pay at the counter and collect the meal from the server, so there is very little interaction, but it was fine.

Overall, it was an acceptable and reasonably priced lunch, with good fresh salads and a nice taste in both meals, but the butter chicken wasn't a success ...

May try again - 3 stars,

a pleasant atmosphere, great service, and good cooking.

we've been there twice, and both times have been impressed by the care taken to get our meals right (including cooking a blue steak, which is rare... almost perfect - 2nd best I've had ever from a restaurant. Congrats!).

well done team

The food is ho hum. Lots of deep fried previously frozen squid rings, chips etc., and not good value for money.
