I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding fish and chips meal I had at your restaurant three weeks ago. The fish was incredibly fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked, with a light and crispy batter that was simply delightful. The chips were golden and crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It's rare to find such a perfect balance of flavors and textures in a traditional dish, but you've managed to master it flawlessly.
If you are into the tea rooms of old then this is your place.

Easy place to stop for a driving break in Palmerston. Good selection of basic hot and cold cabinet foods that will fill the gap.
Home to freshly baked pies and sandwiches. Should never miss visiting them when in Palmerston. Good coffee too.
Super tasty pies I trued the steak with the hot chilli and it was beautiful not a strong bite but just right and the mince and gravy was so good both a must try . Now my new favourite place for pies

A genuine bakery and tea rooms, absolute gold. Lots of great looking pies, filled rolls and cakes and they do a great cup of tea - didn’t try their coffee but I’m sure it’s equally fine. Friendly staff and great value. If I could give this a sixth star I would - open until 5.45pm which was great as we needed a late stop on our road trip to Dunedin. No putting up the closed sign at 2.30pm which is my pet annoyance. Highly recommend.
