A hidden gem in Auckland for Chinese food for sure!
Rice noodle rolls are chewy and the sauce tastes great!!! Will be definitely be back to try the other flavours~
Sesame balls with black sesame filling and egg tarts were phenomenal~
The polo bun was a hit and miss amongst our group though.
Also bought some frozen pork buns to take home, quite a few savoury and sweet flavours to choose from~
Tucked away behind a carpark in front of a few spice stores, the store is a little hard to find.
Large portions of rice rolls with good variety of fillings and you can add ingredients for extra cost. Adding an egg to the beef roll is a must try!
We also got two different won ton soups ans noodles. Taste was average, the soup tasted like the water they used to boil the wontons and the pork filling inside the wonton still has the pork smell in it. Both soups were quite bland sadly.
The menu has other rice and noodle options and some fried foods and tarts in the cabient similar to what you see in yim cha such as sesame balls and portugese tarts.
They also have fridges with frozen packets of dumplings and steams buns to purchase to take home.
Overall environment is pretty average as it looks like they've just put in some tables and chairs for a dine in option but tables are clean and cuterly are all dispoable and recyclable.
Been here for a few times and still love the food. The egg tarts and dumplings are yummy. Noodles kinda bland but love the wanton. I like that I can buy back the frozen buns and dumplings to bring home.
My breakfast place for Cantonese food. Local foodies know it well, it has own factory to supply Chinese restaurants, so a wholesaler. Plenty of parking outside, also sells buns dumplings in the freezer. Worth checking out if you love yum chaοΌalso serves lunch, e.g. stirfry dishes. It's a no-frill setting, similar to Hongkong street cafe.

This is our favorite go to place. Cheap and authentic cantonese food. We like the wonton soup and the rice roll. And their best seller - - egg tart! They also have frozen buns great for breakfast when you are in a hurry.
They serve free tea as well.
Hole in the wall gem tucked away beside a grocery store.
Could not ask for more when it comes to a solid $11 lunch, fresh and tasty.
I ordered the beef rice roll and a char sui rice roll, both made fresh to order steaming hot.
Both needed extra soy ,white pepper, magic msg, and chili oil, all provided at your table, with out it, I found it a little plain and perfectly silky smooth with a slight chew.
Big portions and filling.
Look forward to bringing friends here.
Free tea and hot water are provided.
One of the only places in Auckland that sells street food style rice rolls. Try the pork on with added egg.
Be ware of their chilli, it's quite spicy! Lol
Great tasting authentic Chinese food. Really busy so likely need to wait a while for the food but definitely worth it if you enjoy fresh noodles, rice rolls and thick rice noodles.
Very good pork and cabbage dumpling soup and pork and cabbage fried dumpling. Generous servings. Very fresh and very filling. Quite reasonable price for $12.
Even better are the frozen dumplings for $4.70 for 2 persons! Excellent value. Great to buy a few and keep in the freezer and boil and serve.
Good value from a modest looking restaurant.
Definitely come back for more.
Delicious food, really good value for money. Love the beef brisket noodle soup and the bbq pork rice roll.
Expect food canteen. You queue up to order. It's a pretty basic set up. Old school/camping tables. Disposable cutlery. But you don't come here for the environment. It's the simple steamed rice rolls that are the star. In true Cantonese food style, it's plain and simple, highlighting the texture of the smooth rice rolls. Extremely affordable for our current economic environment. Although there isn't much meat content, it's still good value for money. The rice rolls are just sooooo smooth. I love it. They also offer baked or fried pastries including Portugese style egg tart.
This is my go to place for frozen BBQ pork buns. Filling is generous and taste home style. They also have selection of hot buns and famous egg tarts that sell out really fast. Very busy on Saturday mornings and lunch
Little gem in Panmure that serve really good rice noodle roll, chinese dumplings, bun and stir fry. You can buy frozen buns or frozen dumplings home too. Highly recommend their prawn rice noodle roll! Made freshly and serving is big. Very crowded during weekend so be prepared to wait around 1 hr.
