Great BBQ platter, the pizza was amazing finished off with a really good passion fruit cider, awesome family/beach atmosphere. Had to go back to try the burgers and wings the next day and dem burgers aren't your biggest, but damn they are delicious and priced well. Wings had a nice crunch as well.

Had an great experience at the bar thanks to Ryan and Robbie! Their service was top-notch, and the mocktails they crafted were a awesome. The friendly atmosphere they provided made our afternoon memorable. Highly recommend their expertise and friendly vibes! 🍹🌟

Unreal! The hospitality was amazing and absolutely stoked with the food. Definately value for money! We ordered the ribs and the Hawker rolls. Service was really fast and the staff were very friendly. Will definately be back!

We visited Tauranga last weekend from Hamilton. We were looking for a place with a playground for our kids to play. Unfortunately COVID closed all playgrounds. Anyways we were lucky to find this nice restaurant next to the shopping mall. Kids ordered burgers and they loved it. Mine was a salad, great combination of flavor and leaves. Staff was efficient and fast. The new way to order online was great and easy to use. Recommended!

Good place for a bite and beverage my mate and I definatly were surprised how much we enjoyed the food. Tasty beefy-t burgers and the assorted chicken nibbles and bites were good especially with the gravy and other dipping sauces hit the spot. Burgers did seem like they had been sitting while the other foods were prepared just needed to be in a warmer or something perhaps but other than that good food, cool environment for evening meal and social drinks bring back summer.

As a parent with an 18 month old, this place was ideal. Family friendly, fresh local craft beer on tap (jug of beer is the way to go). Service was great. Adult meals were delicious, kid meal disappeared down the hatch. Family had a wonderful time. Will definitely be returning. Edit: back here yet again. Can't be beat. Edit 2: Now we have a 4yo and 10mo. Our new addition enjoyed his time here too. This place is becoming a family legacy.

First visit in over 30 years. It's grown up a lot. Lots of little knooks and crannies. Lovely food and a nice atmosphere. I'll be back.

Great kid friendly pub. Excellent outdoor dining - old school colourful picnic bench style. Yum food options - the Vietnamese salad and Korean wings are our favs. Kids menu with typical fare and a playground. Win win for all

We have stopped in here for dinner after hitting the beach in papamoa a couple of times now. Each time we have experienced great food and customer service. The restaraunt is awesome with plenty of different places to sit. The decor is a cool beachey vibe with great music playing in the background There is also a playground for the kids. The food is reasonably priced and dress code is really relaxed which works great for just coming off the beach. The mighty burger and chips are my recommendation as the beer battered chips are probably the best I have ever tasted... the inhouse buns are also amazing! The waffle dessert is a massive serving we had to share 1 between the 2. Our family will definitely continue this summer tradition next year when we are back at papamoa!

Our family has a disappointing visit here today. It wasn’t overly busy when we placed our food order which was a chicken burger, Vietnamese salad and kids meals. The chicken in the burger was burnt to a crisp and the salad had no dressing on it, which I thought I’d cope with as I didn’t want to complain, but then it got worse. After eating the chicken that was laying on top of the salad I tossed the salad (consisting of a few chopped spring onions and mostly mung bean sprouts, a few cashews and carrot) I noticed what was surely all the crispy bits that were left in the bottom of the pan used for cooking various meats. There were several clumps of some sort of coating that was fried, a bit of pulled pork and a piece of wood - yes wood. I took the meal to the counter and told the staff who asked the chef but he said he didn’t know what it was. It looked like a burnt piece that had broken off a wooden spoon. I was given a refund but still feel queasy at the thought of it. The food here seems to have gotten worse lately as we come here a fair bit. Next time we’ll skip the food and have drinks only. Such a shame as it’s a great venue but quality has slipped sadly.

I have to give this place a 5/5. Had an amazing dinner last night. Delicious food, fantastic friendly staff, and very child friendly. Highly recommend this place for anyone, caters to all. Awesome vibe. Even though a guy who wasn’t looking where he was going smacked into the door,(he was ok) it was a very enjoyable evening. Will definitely be going back on our next visit.

Great food served by friendly staff who offered to bring a bowl of water for my pup. Menu varied and includes veggie stuff so I was happy, kids meals great so they were happy, awesome milkshakes so my teen was happy and great beer on tap, so hubby happy! Loved the laid back atmosphere, live band jammin' and the large, relaxed environment. At last. A fantastic place to eat in Tauranga!

We came here for dinner on the 23rd of January was terrible meals were 2 rib meal $35 both ribs were very cold (no warmth at all but chips were hot and the ribs were very average but for $35 you expect deliciousness on a positive they were tender but lack all-around flavour Vietnamese salad had barely any chicken and was loaded with purely just mung beans with a few cashews Prawn and mango salad had 4 small prawns which was ridiculous We also got a chicken burger meal and a fish meal which were average Your fries are good but that isn't good enough when you spend a huge amount of money The only thing i would ever come back for is the waffles as they were amazing but i am so disappointed in spending so much money on bad food i never complained because i didn't feel the staff were friendly enough for me to say something and i didn't want to make a fuss neither did anyone else at the table

Perfect place for an afternoon beer in the sun & lunch or dinner �� The prawn salad is definitely my fave.. The Staff have always been friendly and helpful which is always bonus when dining out.. highly recommended.. even with the kids �

A group of us have gone to the ten dollar burger chips and a drink night a few times and I have always enjoyed it. The staff are awesome its really pleasant now that its been re-decorated. We will keep going for sure

Great venue but sub standard food. Ordered the Thai beef salad and got a mung bean and red union salad. My wife doesn't like mung beans so by withholding those the chef decided it should be a red onion salad. Poor effort from the kitchen. If we ever return think we are limited to burgers and fries

Scoped the place for regular Friday afternoon drinkies this afternoon & it's looking like it's a winner �

We LOVE PAP TAV .. many reasons why but what stands out for us is the wicked food , outside play area and the friendly staff. If you combine these things together you get the perfect spot to enjoy your day out. I can not fault this place , big breakfast is literally the best we have had too.

Had the salmon for dinner and it was awesome! Perfectly cooked and the mash was amaaaaazing! My teenage son had the t-bone and he loved it, it's worth the meat-sweats apparently!

Great atmosphere, prices and staff and so incredibly family friendly! Love the extra touch of free soft serve for all the kiddies on a Saturday afternoon!
