Great option to have a quickly lunch and good price. The curry is delicious. The garlic naan was the best. The $20 combo is for two people.

Wow super happy with our curries & naan. Got it delivered on time & was excited to see it was just how we liked it. Plenty of meat & a nice thick sauce. We ordered the $55 dinner special. Definitely not disappointed. Great job guys

Delicious food, perfect balance, big enough chunks of meat to taste the spices and the tender meat underneath. Great having a lovely salad to share as well. Our waitress Arabella was friendly and knowledgeable.

Great service. Delivery option also. The dinner special has delicious side dishes and is a decent amount of food. Biriani was excellent.

I highly recommend the $20 special 3 dishes 1 had to be vege, rice, naan, poppadoms and a drink? I also got an extra garlic naan which was the best ever! Overall this special fed 2 adults quite nicely if I had more naan I would have wiped the bowls clean as the curry dishes were delicious! Great friendly service too.

Butter Chicken is yum and Naan bread is always fresh!

Seriously we have had the most delicious butter chicken..lamb korma.. bombay aloo.. pulav rice.. Eva! All were 10 out of 10 Not late..GST docket.. bagged up well.. with the most loveliest delivery man...so sorry we didn't Hava a tip.. $$ for you Thank u so much team!!

Have dined there twice now and enjoyed my food but there needs to be more variety .available as it is very limited.maybe some vegetarian meals. Also need another Staff member helping in front of shop. Also need to increase the heat in the bain marie as food is just warm

Very delicious food and great customer service

We had take-away from here. We ordered the butter chicken and chicken biryani and the serving sizes were really good (two mains fed three people for dinner and lunch). For take away Indian you can't really go wrong here, the flavours were tasty and satisfying. The server was friendly and they cooked our meal fresh to order. It took only 10 mins and we were on our way.

Usually ate in at the Papamoa restaurant before Covid and loved all the different dishes we tried. Have had a couple of takeaways and we all enjoyed what we ordered. The staff and service are wonderful. A wonderful experience for service and great food. Thank you.

The best chicken curry in the district, had this in the food court Papamoa Plaza. The Great Spice Restaurant Golden Sands Drive is fabulous also. Highly recommend both

Recommended by a friend. Outstanding Chicken Tikka Masala, great garlic naan. Really reasonably priced. Even tho they have the food in the warmer/on display, its cooked fresh so need to allow for a 20 minute wait. Not your typical foodcourt, and way cheaper than a restaurant. Will be revisiting for sure.

The best cheese naan in the area! Recommended for this alone. Also a very tasty lassi and a good Butter Chicken. Service was friendly and fast.

New Papamoa branch has gone from THE BEST to THE WORST place to eat.  Visited twice and each time so below standard.<br/>1st meal butter chicken tasted burnt and on inspection the chicken was burnt.<br/>Yesterday did cook to order menu of mixed platter, onion was stale everything tasted as pit in microwave and was only just off chill, not cooked to order, biriani looked and tasted as though they just put madras sauce with rice.<br/>THE WORST INDIAN MEAL I HAVE HAD.<br/>The old store was absolutely fantastic, this new one is vile

We have been surprised at how awesome this little, local tucked away restaurant is.  We regularly get takeaways from here and sometimes delivery.  The staff are great, the butter chicken and lamb saagwala are good and they get the heat just right (we go for medium).  I agree with other reviewers that the restaurant part is a bit dated but a lot of Indian Restaurants in NZ seem to be and you shouldn't judge a book by its cover - the food is great.  We would definitely recommend this place to others.

If you are looking for Indian spicy taste then this is not for you. We didn't like the taste of food at all. Even after explaining the staff member.

Been here for lunch a few times and loved it. Had takeout from here a lot. First time for dinner with Hubby and friends from out of town this week. Very proud to take our friends here for dinner. Food is Delicious and lots of it too. Garlic and cheese naans are the best. Very friendly staff.

We have been here many times now as a family and their food is consistently good. The staff are all very attentive and friendly. This last visit we tried a Goat Curry and the flavours are superb, if you don't mind meat on the bone try the goat or go for the lamb instead. We also tried the Karahi Chiken for the kids instead of Butter Chicken and they loved it as did we.<br/>We will go back again for sure and recommend it at the best Indian in Tauranga that we have had so far.<br/>All of their dishes are yum and consistent even when they are busy.

This restaurant surprised us when my hubby and I went out to dinner on NYE. The dated/plain decor doesn't reflect the quality of the food. We were happy with service (although some young staff could have been better presented) and the chicken was tender, spices and taste/sweetness of the butter chicken and mango chicken fantastic, naan good, and large quantity - it is now rivals our former favourites (Smart India and India Today) One more great experience will confirm we've found our new 'best' Indian in Tauranga. :-D

On holiday when we came across this restaurant late one night. Absolutely fantastic Indian, and have tried Indian in many cities. Also very pleasant and polite service. Pleased we stopped by, highly recommend.

I've had take aways from these guys twice, they're really good. Authentic food. Absolutely loved it. By far the best indian food in Tauranga. Friendly staff and consistent with the quality.

Fantastic Indian food at Great Spice Papamoa, we go nearly every week for a Curry great value for money and the taste is so good could eat it every day. When we don't go down for a Curry on a Friday or Saturday night, we get it delivered, Don and the Chef knows exactly how we like it and never been disappointed. Can recommend everything on the menu, you will not be disappointed, give them a go you will not go any where else.

Fantastic Indian Food - great prices and delicious! Loads of Chicken in the butter chicken - we even had left overs (and not just the sauce)! The Daal Makhani is fantastic, and the naan was really good and garlicky - big size too. Good location - can nip to Countdown to grab some drinks.

Had our first takeaway dinner from Great Spice - very impressed - probably the best Indian takeaway we have had to date - it even got thumbs up from my partner (who doesn't normally eat Indian food). Well priced and very tasty. Congrats to the new owners of Great Spice - keep up the good food.
