Love the vibes and Pizza is fantastic. Beautiful classic pizza dough done in wood fired oven. Highly recommend the brisket loaded fries!! Neat how you can order online from your table. Food is always served quickly. The beer selection is awesome! They have a great covers band playing on the first Sunday of the month, called the Midnight Fizz. Definitely get in there and check them out!

We hadn't been since under new management but thought we'd give it a go. Was welcomed with a friendly hey guy's come on in. Was showed around and made very welcome. Food was great had a share platter and was very delicious. Much better atmosphere and very professional friendly staff, will definitely go back and bring friends and family for dinner.

There are 2 main reasons that the Favourite Husband and I hadn’t previously been to The Island. Firstly we are several lifetimes too old to go there and secondly the playground. I’m slightly allergic to small children and there always seems to be a lot of them there. Imagine my delight then to discover that there was an R18 area. Genius. We were meeting the extended FamBam who are all very familiar with The Island and the menu. The cocktails weren’t bad, but there was no margarita on the list and I don’t like to ask for fear of being labelled the problem child of the group. I loved being able to order using the QR code from the table. This is the type of “modern technology” that appeals to me and I strongly believe more places should offer it. Portions were generous. Flavours were good. The Thai beef salad was really nice, with chargrilled steak and the pickled ginger was a nice touch. There was a lot of dressing which overwhelmed the dish a bit. The burgers were really juicy, the loaded fries and chicken wings were also full of flavour and generous portions. The pizza was a hit. Look, I can’t find fault. I’m not going to try. It was pub food done really well. Good value and a good night. Service was friendly and fast. It’s not “fine dining” but it’s not trying to be. Good work.

We had korean and original chicken wings, pulled pork burger and potato skins. Everything was amazing but the pulled pork was absolute delicacy! Live music also great, we’ll definitely come back.

Awesome place! Pretty chilled, good decor, nice atmosphere. The service is great and I definitely recommended trying the bbq! Out the gate! Tap beer is local and tastes amazing!!!

Absolutely was not impressed with the food as some of it was uncooked. the waiter who had us was a great guy and made my family and i crack up in laughter, honestly he made our night thanks to the guys the the ear tattoo

What a lovely place, food was a great price and it was so yummy , drinks lovely, delicious cocktail , we had two drinks each and a meal for lunch it was only 108 dollars very reasonable for the two of us, very happy and will definitely going back for more , love this place, staff very friendly and seem happy at there job. Still a lovely place. Great vibe, And still amazing food. But the pizza in pertucular has gone down in quality. We visited the island for the first time probably 7 months ago. And the pizzas here were just amazing (even wrote a 5 star reciew). We visited again a week ago. Got a decent pizza but no where close. Decided if visit again, as maybe I just came in on a bad day. Once again, still a good pizza but not worth driving from hamilton to papamoa for which we did the first time. (Picture with Two pizzas is from 7 months ago) On the bright side. Still have lovely staff, great drinks, and ambiance in general surpasses anything hamilton has to offer

This place was recommended to us by avenue pizza tauranga (who without a doubt make the best pizza in New zealand), so we took their recommendation very seriously. And wow. Pizza sure as hell surpassed the already very high expectation. Overall, great vibe, lovely staff, amazing service. And absolute dream of a woodfired pizza. Great experience. Will definitely be visiting again.

Firstly the Puha Rd IPA is 👌🏽 always a fave! This food that we shared on Saturday was amazing. Honey Chicken Wings are out of this world, pizza just as great as its always been, loving the new additions. Service is great and during Level 2 the staff were really outstanding with ordering easy and quick delivery of drinks💖
