Review Marine Parade Eatery - Paraparaumu

We had a great breakfast here today. All our food (Big breakfasts and a Hash) was beautifully cooked and the ingredients were top quality. The cafe was busy, and the staff managed well. Well worth the visit. 10/10 will come back.

Stopped off here with all my friends at the beginning of a long road trip. Service was amazing, great vibes and the staff were so friendly! not to mention the 10/10 delicious food!! great vegan options an all around great experience:D will definitely be back :D

The cafe staff were lovely, making a birthday brunch a pretty special event. It’s a small kitchen and seems like a family-run place, so our drinks took perhaps a bit longer. The food was delicious. You could tell the staff really cared. I’m keen to come back.

Amazing restaurant. Best breakfast in all of NZ during our travels! It was absolutely fabulous. 4 of us with fancy coffees all for a wonderful price. Couldn't have been happier on our travels from Wellington to Lake Taupo. It's a must stop and enjoy on your way! Staff and owner were so kind too.

We had a great lunch here, I can definitely recommend the pulled chicken burger and the hash. Coffee is great and the vibe is so relaxed too. The service is friendly and we'll definitely be coming back!

It’s not often the chef comes out to check how your meal is but it was warmly welcomed as we wanted to say how much we enjoyed our meals! I’ve never had an Ayurveda bowl before but I’m so glad I decided to try something new. The meal was beautiful, service was great and the coffee was hot! Definitely recommend.

Such lovely staff and service! They were very welcoming and baby friendly. The best service I have received in a long time. Food was nice and well priced :)

Sea breezes, great coffee and food who could ask for anything more. Well you get friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere as well. Across the road to the beach and you can walk off those extra calories from the tempting food.

The food was delicious and well priced, the decor was very cute and relaxed, and the service was friendly and professional. A genuinely lovely place to dine. My second time here and I'm defintely not disappointed.

MPE has had new owners for a few weeks now and he definitely knows how to cook! Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The coffee was lovely and hot, not too strong. I would definitely recommend and will be back to try out their late night dining!

April2021: it's been a while since I've been here. After the Dawn Service for ANZAC day, stopped and got a takeout coffee. Walked over to the Beach and contemplated how lucky I am. The coffee was hot and strong and comforting. 2020: Met up with a friend from P'Nth. MPE is a great place for brunch, to catch up on all the goss, enjoy good food and feel like it's your kitchen, away from home.

Awesome entrees for WOAP. Revisited and had an amazing breakfast. The team are happy and friendly. The fire made it cosy and I didn't want to leave.

This place is a regular haunt for us, more often than not its just a Pinot Gris or two, and some of their delicious small plates. We have eaten brunch and dinner several times too. The food is the best on the Kapiti Coast, the place has a real cool vibe about it, the two managers Boo and Fi (( written in alphabetical order, not favouritism lol), and all the team have made us feel part of the community since we moved here 1 year ago. We just love it

We visited here every morning last week for breakfast after it was recommended by the owner of the motel we were staying at. Good good and good coffee. Would come back again.

Brunch here this morning. The food looks good, tastes even better. The chicken cous cous salad, the goats cheese omelet from the kitchen and the quiche and banana and coconut loaf from the cabinet were all excellent. Not at all noisy like other cafes. Great decor. Clean toilets. Great service and friendly staff. With a great view out to Kapiti Island. Highly recommended!

Great place, staff really friendly. I usually get coffee but this time I had some food and it was amazing. I feel its fairly priced for the quality ingredients they use. :)

I have eaten here about 6 times now and every time it's exceeded my expectations. Great atmosphere, coffee and food! Also a great place for business catch ups ect

So so so good! Lovely staff, such delish food, and love the styling of the place :)

We got 2 ice choclates today at $8.00 each they were one of the worst ice chocolates we had. It was just milk, mashmellows and chocolate powder thrown into a cup it wasn't mixed or put through a blender. It was a waste of 16 bucks.

This place has the most delicious food & so beautifully presented. If you're done paying a ton to eat out only to have a seriously underwhelming experience... just go here instead as you're Guaranteed to be satisfied ;) thanks guys xx

Staff were friendly and food arrived quickly. I got the hash which was fairly average, lacked seasoning and my partner got the big breakfast which was ok - nothing really stood out. For the price there are more enticing options in the area.

Stopped in here last week for Brunch, was packed but they quickly found us a table. We started with a couple of smoothies which were tasty. My partner got the big breakfast which was fairly average, nothing really stood out, I got the hash - didn't really enjoy this was lacking seasoning. For the price won't be rushing back.

Amazing food and awesome service. Always great coffee and service with a smile. Such a great location right on the beach in front of Kapiti Island.

The only decent cafe in Paraparaumu beach, good coffee and good food with a lovely interior. It can be hard to find a seat on busy mornings but it's worth it once you do.

Great food, friendly staff and a nice pleasant place to dine. I love healthy healthy and interesting options you have to choose from and they make a great coffee.

A placenta surprise found near the beach. I love the deco and nice fresh cut flowers. The menu has some interesting items and you can see they are focusing on customers who prefer high quality healthy food. We enjoyed our choices of pan fry fish and cumin chicken. We were hungry so the size was dish was a bit small for us but the added roasted potatoes were nice too. Will definitely revisit.

Worth the wee walk from the waterfront park to get fuel for the adults, they do iced coffees too and now I'm just filling in the number of characters required for a review

My favourite cafe on the Kapiti Coast. Fresh, nutritious ingredients. I had the breakfast salad today and it was delicious. Our go to for a Saturday coffee and savoury scroll and brunch spot to take friends. The tapas in the evening also good!

I've been here about 6 times now. By far and away the best dining experience on the Coast for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Healthy, hearty, lots of local produce - its all good. Good proximity to the excellent Paraparaumu playground and beach.

Lovely cheerful surroundings always busy of which shows the popularity of this place..never had put me off as i just have got to know the ideal times and days to go ..i enjoy the service and everything is cooked to perfection.

Nice little cafe with cute decor. I had a salmon bagel which had heaps of flavour and was a good size for brunch. Great coffee too. Would recommend this to anyone in the area

A nice spot to pop in for Sunday brunch. I normally choose the cerbside table as I find the interior options a bit dark. Full breakfast is well presented with crispy bacon and heritage sausages and at $20 it fits in at a reasonable price for a high quality full breakfast.

Lovely little place. Went there with my partner after visiting his mum complaining that Paraparaumu didn't have any nice little places... all we could see was lots of tinted windows but we chanced on the marine parade eatery and enjoyed it tremendously so it will be a mainstay for future visits. On the way from Wellington heading northwards I stopped off there again with my foodie mum and sister. Had a mix of tapas. The food is so fresh and seemingly simple but when you delve into the food mixing, spices and herbs added... a very good chef! and the staff were lovely, attentive, happy and made a great experience even better. The view and sunset weren't so bad either:)

I will not be returning to this restaurant. The service was terrible. When we complained about our food being cold and the toast not being cooked, the OWNER told us that it was up to her standards so should be up to ours, the PAYING customer. Clearly Marine Parade Cafe hasn't heard the saying that the customer is always right and the concept that a pleased customer leaving is better than a disgruntled one. The way that my grandmother and I were treated when we told the owner of the problems as we saw them was disgraceful and I would not recommend marine parade deli to anyone.

I was in there to get one take away shot of espresso, Lovely little cafe, and yes they were a bit busy, BUT I have worked years in this industry and was shocked by the very poor service I got, first no smiles, very flaky information how big this shot was, and when they made it for me, the lady who made the shot asked me how big it was, she had the nerve to role her eyes when I didn't know the size of my shot, Excuse me!!!!!!!! Sorry that is not on, I have never rolled my eyes to any customers I have ever had, you smile and deal with the problem in a very respectful way, and sorry, to be busy is NO excuse either.
And the price was shocking, $3.60 for some drops of coffee, sorry I will never go again, and will not recommend this place to anyone.

Went for breakfast today gr8 mocha should have ordered a large it was so yummy. I had French toast with spiced fruit it was delicous. Kids ordered the bagels with banana and bacon they were huge and tasted awesome. Hubbie had the full cooked breakfast also delicous with a great sausage not some mass produced kind. Loved the original day core . Service was great and friendly, checked twice to make sure we were happy with meals and drinks. Great place will go back if we up this way again.

I eat here often and the food is very nice:) I keep trying something new each time I go. The food is 10/10!
I would describe the flavours as fresh and simple.
Fresh NZ produce presented with flavours that enhance the dish and provide a nice balance on the palate. The highlights are the delicious chutneys, and sauces that accompany many of the meals. They do Tapas and sharing plates on a Friday night, and it is a good idea to book as they get very busy. The menu changes each season and I hope my favourite Beetroot relish is still available.

We dropped in for breakfast between Christmas and New Year and I had the best ever French Toast (with berries and lemon honey) - to die for. My husband also enjoyed his breakfast of "Black Pudding, etc etc. We will definitely go back there when we are in the district.

What a little gem this place is! We were on a deliberately slow, moochy road trip from Wellington to Palmerston North, so decided to take the scenic route and stop off for a late brunch on the way through. We started at the Raumati Beach end and worked our way through to Paraparaumu Beach, but none of the cafes really appealed (to the point where we were starting to resign ourselves to having to find something to eat at Coastlands *ugh*). Marine Parade Deli caught our eye, and we decided to give it a shot. Right from the minute we walked in the door, I was hooked on the place. I think the thing that stood out most for me was the Marine Parade Deli service team - they were consistently LOVELY. We were welcomed in the door with a hello and a smile (I know - they actually SMILED?! - who knew?!), and everybody we interacted with (without exception) was relaxed and friendly - it was refreshing, and many of the Wellington establishments could learn a lot from you. The rest of the experience was equally as impressive - the lunch/brunch menu was really, really GOOD (and I don't say that lightly, as I'm a brunch fiend and eat out a lot), we found a great wee table right at the back of the Deli, water was brought to our table immediately and a coffee order taken while we looked through the menu - I don't know why I am so surprised at JUST how good this place was (perhaps I hadn't really expected much from the Kapiti Coast?), but I'm very definitely now an ardent admirer of Marine Parade Deli, and will be making the effort another sunny weekend to drive up to the Coast, sample some more of that great menu, and get my brand new coffee card stamped again!

We used to use it for its good coffee and scones..the coffee is still ok but now the scones are the smallest on the Kapiti Coast..not going back

We visited Marine Parade Deli on Friday 22 Nov. It was a superb summer's night & we were looking for somewhere easy to unwind. We went their on the spur of the moment & had a fabulous evening. The place was airy with a nice vibe. Good food, good service, good vino selection. We settled in for a relaxed evening and rolled out a couple of hours later very happy punters. Favourite tapas - prawns & the pork belly. Favourite vino - Amisfield Rose. Heading back their with our friends Colin & Ann before Xmas to share the deliciousness.

This is my favourite restaurant on the coast.
We had dinner here last Friday and it was so good we are going again tonight.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and very good service.
Only wish it was open other nights! Love the cheese dish with the candied peel... awesome - very hard to find a place with cheese on the menu
Lunch menu is great too... I had the omelette and loved it.
Good work Marine Parade Deli - : )

Having read the wonderful reviews I was really looking forward to trying this place and arranged a group of six. Hugely disappointed when we turned up at 6pm to find it wasn't open, in spite of the website saying it was open till 8 pm on a Sunday. Will we try again? Who knows. What added to the irritation was the staff inside who could see us outside, and who were not in the least bit interested. An explanation or apology would have gone a long way.

Took a chance on Marine Parade Deli today, as we got a park over the road. We both were greeted warmly and met by a very humble member of staff. Coffee orders were taken and menus issued. The Immigrants Son coffee - must say - was amazing (coming from a couple of Wellington boys who drink it a fair bit! We both preferred it to many in Wellington!), in fact we had a couple each. I ordered the Welsh Rarebit at a chance, companion the Omelette, each with a light salad and to say the least the Welsh Rarebit was utter perfection the toast was fresh and crispy, melted cheese, mushrooms and pancetta! Booya! The omelette was light and fluffy, topped with truss tomatos - never better.
I don't only recommend this place - I will be back. The atmosphere had personality, customer service was natural and warm, and the chocolate brownie topped it all off!
Ka pai hoki koe!

What a fantastic addition this is to Paraparaumu Beach eateries. We had lunch here as we reluctantly ended our beautiful Kapiti Christmas holiday - and it was a perfect ending. Had the tuna and carne pizza, both of which were very tasty with bases that were just crispy enough. Pizza was accompanied by a fine Ohau Gravels wine, with an excellent coffee and Afghan biscuit to finish. Great vibe and very friendly, attentive staff. Will be recommending this place far and wide.

This place looks a bit wind-beaten from the outside, but when you walk in it's a whole other story! Lovely interior, good wooden tables and seats with a nice feel. Their wood fired pizzas are delicious and they have a a few nice beers on offer. Would definitely recommend - really lovely place.

What an amazing find. If you are every in Kapiti you must stop in here. We tried a couple of their pizzas which I highly recommend, and the coffee is (in my humble opinion) the best anywhere - the immigrants son, blended and brewed to exquisite perfection. Make sure you buy some cheese too, I recommend the creamy blue. I would travel back just for another coffee and the chance to start sampling the rest of the deli cabinet.
