Review The Surfer's Mistress - Paraparaumu

Back for more! We first visited in April 2022, and were so thrilled to be able to come back today - we were not disappointed! In fact, it might have even been than I remember. The Ragu is divine and dessert a must (we got the panna cotta this time). We live in Wellington and will definitely go out if our way to be back soon ;)

Wow it was great better service than we got last week at Logan Brown. The guys are fab and the food was authentic and delicious.Excellent meal thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Authentic Italian food. Far better atmosphere than the competition. I had the antipasto platter which was plenty for four and really tasty. Salmon and spinach fettuccine was fab and our guests had a steak and the NY meatballs. Definitely worth a return trip.

A classy little Italian restaurant in the middle of Kapiti. Lovely authentic dishes, with friendly, personable service. The Arancini entrees were superb, the pasta fresh and vibrant, and the steak dish just right. The panacotta was also great. It's not the fastest service, but in return, you get freshly made dishes. We'd certainly recommend the Surfers Mistress.

excellent selection of dishes on the menu, and superb service from attentive staff. The restaurant is set down below street level giving it a relaxed and intimate feel For a starter, I had the meatballs that were moist and light. My main was the pan-fried fish in a delectable creamy anchovy sauce I heartily recommend you drop in for a meal if you're in the neighborhood. I will certainly be eating there again soon

I had the fish this evening. It was beautifully cooked and nicely presented. The vegetable of the day was courgettes, which was very limited. Other mains were very good. Desert very small but delicious.

What a beautiful place to come have a nice dinner. Family owned and staff were super friendly. Will definitely be going back for one of those special dinners. The Polpette and prawns spaghetti 🤝🏽

Good food and good service. The restaurant is really comfy and what I look for in a better dining place. The down side being that all the food is good and over-indulging is likely.

We’ve been here quite a few times now and have always had a really enjoyable meal, great service and seriously one of the best Tiramisu’s. I really appreciate how the music is quiet and tasteful so people don’t have to raise their voices and despite being the last ones there tonight didn’t feel rushed to finish our meal. Seriously thanks so much team for making especially tonight a great experience.

Probably the best prawn tagliatelle I've had anywhere in the Wellington region. Yum. House wine was stunning too. Thanks!

Very nice, italian atmosphere was incredible. Pizza to die for, great cocktails, prices that definetly make it a special outing.. steak was a little dry and chewy but everything else was incredibly good. Definetly try this place out.

Second visit, absolutely delicious food and a small but good wine list. Miles is a real asset ❤️

5 stars for this lovely Italian restaurant in kapiti, the service was amazing, miles who helps the team was friendly and accommodating. The three courses, meatballs, steak and desert had no flaws. Great wine and cocktails. Would definitely book again.

Wonderful meal, great atmosphere, and the staff were kind and helpful, especially the girl with black hair and an awesome style that waited on us, didn’t catch her name unfortunately! But anyone willing to share a joke at the end of the night is a winner at customer service.

Great time here tonight with a couple of mates. Food is impeccable, and the service from the two ladies was flawless. Will definitely be going back! Remember to get the open/close sign on properly though 😅🫢

Absolutely wonderful little gem down in Pram beach. Very attentive and friendly staff and amazing decor all throughout the place. Loved it.
