Table for four 7pm. A bit of a wait for some initial service due to it being rather busy, but the entrees soon made up for that.... then our mains arrived: crispy pork salad, pork belly and two lamb shanks. My lamb shank was one of the best restaurant prepared ..... (I have to say this to avoid a jab in the ribs from my partner who cooks divine lamb shanks at home).....melt in the mouth tender with great veggie accompaniments. The pork belly was perfect and looked amazing on the presented plate. Pork salad a light but very tasty meal for a smaller appetite. Creme brulee and affogato to round off a memorable meal and a fun get together in a convivial atmosphere. A comprehensive menu so lots to choose from: we will be back thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š

Everyone enjoyed their meals: Ribs, Steak, scallops, prawns and pork belly, we'll be back again for sure, just need to master the soft runny yoke eggs before our next visit ๐Ÿ˜‰

The food was amazing and the staff friendly and attentive. They had a Valentines Day special which was amazingly good value and still offered plenty of choice. Free glass of bubbly was a lovely touch. Only down side was the state of the toilets... restaurant was fine dining, toilets were local pub on a Friday night.

Tried out the brunch at the Jolly on the weekend! Super tasty and great service as always. Had the sweet potato fritter and it was tasty as usual. The added sweetness of the honey with the fresh coleslaw and avocado topped it off. I would have loved two of the fritters as was left wanting more (the only reason for the 4 stars on the food). Will happily go back as the person on the table next to me had the full breakfast and it looked awesome!

Big thumbs up for delicious dinner menu and happy professional service We were surprised and delighted by the stunning food and service presented by the chef and waiter team for dinner on Saturday at the The Jolly Pub & Kitchen Kapiti. The drinks menu covered the bases, and the menu offered some very interesting innovation: Some examples: A starter: CHILLI AND GARLIC TIGER PRAWNS: Lychee, mint, spring onion, tandoori cauliflower, courgette. ($22.99) A Burger: FRIED PORK SOUVLAKI: Yeast bread, lettuce, pickles, nduja labneh, garlic mayo, fries. ($25.99) A Pizza: JOLLY LAMB PERI PIZZA: Lamb, tomato base, mozzarella, onion, garlic, coriander, black pepper, capsicum, mayo, peri-peri sauce. ($23.99) A Main PAN FRIED MARKET FISH: Celeriac puree, wakame butter, curry leaves, shaved courgette ($36.99) I had the market fish โ€“ a delicious pan-fried fillet of John Dory, accompanied by excellent bits and pieces. And my wife had the Rack of Lamb โ€“ cooked to the perfect pink. We had a fries to share. We had 2 wines, 1 beer and a rum. Total cost for the meal and drinksexcluding tip given was $131. More expensive than we had expected before we arrived, but well worth the amazing tastes, and service delivered. We will be back.

We enjoyed trying out the new breakfast menu in the restaurant area. The acai berry bowl was nice in particular. Good to have some vegan/veg options. It would be great if a baby change table could be provided. Atmosphere would be better if there were more customers.

Went in for a late lunch - great meal mix of burgers and roasts. Was good and enjoyed it all. Desserts felt a little underwhelming and pricey but the chocolate bomb was quite stunning! Would recommend and go again!!!

This is a great place for lunch. the meal's ingredients complement each other to make a delicious deal. The price is good value, probably the same price as normal hotel meals but this food a step up from pub fare, this is a restaurant. Maybe the portions are not overflowing to keep the cost reasonable, but for a lunchtime meal it was filling and delicious/

Beautiful food but sadly the service was bad. Had to keep asking for drinks and even plates! Got given the wrong beer as well, it was corrected but not on the bill. They were busy it was Saturday night but still expected better when you're paying that much. Scallops were to die for and same with prawns. Disappointing creme brulee but the Chocolate bombe was amazing! Would definately go back regardless.

Great meal on a Thursday night. The place was pretty full both restaurant and bar (due to the quiz). Food was exquisite, lamb shank was huge and accompanying vegetables great. Couldn't eat it all! Definitely recommend the Jolly!

We came in as a group of 7, had booked on line which was very easy, great meals all very delicious, suggestions made to waiting staff was that a slice of bread or a bread roll would be nice with the Ravioli to mop up the delicious sauce other than that we will be back
