Review Butlers Chocolate Cafe - Paraparaumu

Stacey Liakhovskaia
Great choice of hot chocolate, desserts and chocolate. This time I discovered Butlers' cheesecake and was very pleased with its delicate, well-rounded taste and light&smooth texture. Hot tips: Coffee and hot chocolate are served with complimentary chocolate. Also, their 6 for $12 offer is a great way to try a selection of chocolates.

Where do I start? The food is amazing, the service is incredible, and the drinks are to die for 😋 and don't get me started on their selection of chocolates... Magnificent! The only thing I would complain about, is that I have to get there early to beat everyone else to a seat! 😅 Such an amazing Cafe, and often my family's "go to" place. Keep up the good work team! ☺️

This is one place you don't want to miss while in the mall. It's got the sweetest little chocolates you ever did see. All the chocolates have been lovingly hand made with a great deal of care and attention to detail and the taste is simply divine.

Great coffee my favourite place for a mocha and always get a chocolate with it too. The lava cake is the best thing ever for your sweet chocolate fix. Staff areally really very friendly and know their regular customers by name.

Great coffee. Small range of food but always fresh and well presented. Really pleasant staff.

Great friendly staff, coffee made how we like it. Staff remember our order each visit. Love the free chocolate of course.

Reasonable coffee and great product. Honestly though I'd rather give my money to a non-franchised cafe and forego the free choccy.

Stopped for a coffee with my parents on Sat 31 August. Service was quick and friendly. I had planned to buy a cake or tart, but when I realised we would get a chocolate with each coffee, I abandoned that plan. The range of chocolates was a bit overwhelming, and with people waiting behind us we probably didn't make ideal choices. Next time I will know to look at the chocs before ordering a coffee. Tables were clean and neat. A bit small though. It was a quiet day in the mall, so it was nice to sit in a quiet space where we could easily have a conversation (loud cafes make it hard for my parents to hear). A nice enough place, and I'll go again.

Been there many times since moving here 3 years ago. Love their egg sammies and choc pecan pie, yum. Lots choices for sweet stuff but savoury choices mostly pig related, which I dont eat. Nothing in way of diary free and little for GF.
Coffee is great but probably bit too heavy on chocolate (mocha). Probably more expensive Than average

Not a bad spot for a coffee / hot chocolate.

We recently stopped by for some morning tea amd orders a coffee, signature hot chocolate and a couple of fluffy's for the kids.

The hot chocolate was delicious, the coffee was nice but a little weak. Could definitely have done with being stronger. The free chocolates with the drinks a pleasant added bonus.

The cakes were ok. Lemon slice was a bit average, the ginger crunch glod, and the Baileys cheesecake decadent.

Staff friendly enough.

Dependable café with great coffee, free chocolate and inexpensive selection of cabinet food. Love the iced coffees which are not made with ice cream and are not sweet (unless you want to add sugar). Also love their egg sarnies.

I would recommend this cafe on the strength of its mudcake dessert alone. The coffee is good and the chocolates are amazing.

The service I have received has been good but I have noticed others waiting well over what would be acceptable for a coffee, I think a smile would go a long way also with a few of the people that work there.

The space is limited but understandable given the area of the mall where which they are situated.

The sweet food is delicious and I love the free chocolate. However, there is hardly any seating and the coffee is terrible

Used to go to Butlers in Coastlands at Paraparaumu quite frequently, however we seem to have stopped going. The food is good and so is the coffee only the staff need to smile and be friendly to their customers. Kapiti has an aging population and are generally careful where they spend their money so come on Butlers put on a smile and be good Kiwi Hosts.
