What a hidden gem! Any fan of sushi and Japanese food will love the authenticity and quality here. We were so impressed. Unfortunately the location is very tucked away with little foot traffic. And Iām not sure locals appreciate what they have here! Go and enjoy the best sushi for miles.
Best Japanese food I have seen in Kapiti! I got the katsu rice bowl, and it was so good! the restaurant looks really nice, and the staff were friendly too, I really recommend going here!

The freshest and most delicious sushi and Japanese cuisine in Wellington. Lee is a master, and goes above and beyond for his customers. As a long time customer, going back to his precious restaurants in Wellington CBD, I highly recommend checking out Tornado Sushi, you won't be disappointed.
