Review Comes & Goes - Petone

The food was great! The only fault is that there wasn't enough of it šŸ˜ My 9 month old baby dined with us and they had a great highchair available for him. I was able to park the pram inside too. Coffee was delicious.

Visited for brunch last week, Eggs Bene with a good coffee. Average price as per the normal expected range. Veg options available. The others in the group were happy with their brunch also. Would recommend a visit. Also good to know the cafe has bathroom for customer use. Clean and tidy overallšŸ˜€

Really delicious breakfast and lunch cafe. Enjoyed the coffee and the chicken sandwich most of all. Members of my group also got their bibimbap and waffles which were also delicious.

Wonderful place in Petone with some very interesting unique menu options. I had the chicken waffles with bacon, maple and ice cream (see photo with ice cream on top of the fried chicken). A very interesting combination that was very good. Coffee was pretty good as well so that's a bonus.

Oh my goodness. Everything about this place is so amazing. My son ordered the yum yum burger and said it was the best he's ever tasted! Beautiful customer service, and delicious food! I would highly recommend .

Lovely Cafe! We went there for the WOAP Burger.. How can you make any Canadian happy? Serve them a Fried chicken in a croissant with nice crispy bacon, delightful maple sirop šŸ some hashbrown and double cheese.. and why not add some polenta fries.. Pretty mean!! There is also an option with waffle topped with ice cream... So worth it! Pleasant experience with caring staff. Bonus: Baby friendly I will definitely return for the regular breakfast/brunch menu!

Great food with a beautiful twist. Stunningly presented. Perfect coffee. Modern decor but old school service - all you need for a mid morning brunch! Away from the hustle of the main village, Comes & Goes offers a great menu that you should definitely try!

Been wanting to come here for breakfast for ages, but itā€™s always either fully booked or closed - the draw card being the high ratings and the option to build your own breakfast. Finally made it! Built my own breakfast and it was delicious! Definitely worth a visit. And if not for breakfast or brunch, then the cabinet offers up some pretty delicious looking options for afternoon tea.

Excellently presented meals, and delicious food. Very interesting new age dining. The food at this place resembles well seasoned chefs. Coffee is great due to well experienced baristas.

A quiet shop with white walls on the outside. Who would have known that you open those doors to chaos and deliciousness? It took about 20 mins to get a table but worth the wait. We ordered Lamb mince on toast and BYO breakfast. Fabulous food.. Fantastic experience.. Highly recommended.

We visited towards the end of a Saturday, nice & chill with the staff still attentive. We both ordered the spicy noodles & shared a side of deep fried tofu. The meal was deliciously fresh & tasty with the right amount of zing. The tofu added a perfect crunch to the dish & is portioned easy to be shared. The Kawakawa Fire & Tokyo Lime teas rounded the meal off. A lovely experience after having our nails done at Tippy Toes also on Jackson St.

The most beautifully presented food Iā€™ve seen in Wellington. The menu is creative and has a range of flavours and cultural influence. 5/5, would recommend to anyone!

Delicious meals. Like really amazing. Tried the Daily Boost and the Pork Belly eggs benedict. Eggs were cooked perfectly and both dishes beautifully presented. Slightly heavy on the chutney for my tastes but that's the only down side I could think of. Coffee was fine. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed and service was quick and friendly.

This place does amazing coffee and amazing food. We had the Chicken Scotch Egg and Pork Belly Benedict, both were beautifully presented and their flavours were amazing. Definitely will be coming back!

The vibes in this cafe are great! Felt very classy. But the waffles werenā€™t anything special but Iā€™m giving it four stars because Iā€™ve heard lots of good things about other menu items and because I just loved the vibes, Iā€™ll probably try something else from here and give it another chance
Octagon Pie
Came here a few weeks back, I had prebooked a table for 6 at 11am and came in at about 10:58am.. they had forgotten and quickly made a table free (which was lucky because they were very busy)<br/>We all ordered food and drinks and we all received our food but only 2 of us received our drinks.. the 4 other drinks had been forgotten so I had to go remind them! The service was rather poor and unfriendly :(<br/>The presentation and the taste of the food was beautiful but wouldn't rave about anything else

Beautiful little cafe with a great vibe! Easy to miss when walking down the street but worth a stop! Coffee was delicious, and the food was quick yum and presented beautifully! Will be returning for sure

Looks amazing and tasted absolutely delicious! Looking forward to going back to try something else on the menu as there were so many interesting things to try.

Great find on Jackson Street! Delicious and well presented food with decent veg options. Quite a small spot and felt like our table was too rowdy for the calm peaceful environment, sorry! Takeaway coffee was spot on. Not 5 stars due to the portion sizes, we all definitely wanted more!

Charming and beautiful cafe in the heart of Petone, I was not expecting to find a cafe of this calibre all the way out here but here it is. Making some of the best looking food I've seen anywhere (giving fine dining restaurants a run for their money) and with the flavour punch to follow.Ā <br/><br/>I would recommend trying the Crispy Pork Belly Benedict and the Banh Mi, these were both off the chain. They serve up Rocket Coffee here and the guys were trained by Lee from the Candy Shop, you know it's good. I'll be back.

Hidden gem in the middle of a quiet town. Service and interior was great, the food was very presentable and generous. We ordered the scotch egg and pork belly benedict, both we thought was good.

Located in Lower Hutt, a seaside town just outside Wellington. Is a modern Vietnamese fusion cafe with a semi open plan kitchen. It is worth the travel from Wellington city, just for the beautiful plates of food like edible art!. See this in the app

Such a lovely cafe in Petone! I had the waffles and they were beautifully presented and tasted great too! A very busy place but worth the wait.

My family and I visited from Auckland and we have heard a lot about this place and we were not let down! Our experience is nothing but positive, the wait staff and kitchen did a fantastic job. Their favourite's was the truffle mushrooms and pork belly benedict, mine was the soba noodles. The coffee was also a hit too! Will try and visit one more time before we leave :)

Such a unique and fun place on Jackson. The menu is exciting and the French Toast looked and tasted amazing. We were delighted to get a table straight away and the service was top rate as per. <br/>This would be a 4 but Iā€™ve dropped a point because they donā€™t offer sweetener only sugar. I think this should be a standard offering anywhere hot drinks are sold Iā€™ve not come across a place that does not offer sweetener before. It wasnā€™t a ā€œsorry weā€™ve run outā€ either. I was told they do not have sweetener. Besides this it was a lovely Sunday brunch. Thanks.

WOW! I have been here for brunch in the past but decided to make another visit during WOAP since I loved it so much last time. The burger highlighted all the ingredients and was so fresh and juicy (the kimchi mayo is also yum!). The cirspy pork belly is one of the best dishes I've ever had in Wellington (or maybe my life?). I loved the baby radishes and kale chips šŸ˜‹ comes & goes, more like come & never leave!! P.s. the fluffies are a fun addition šŸ˜Ž

Best WOAP burger I have tried by FAR! I can't wait to come back and taste more of the brunch menu!! So impressed. The wait staff and team are so kind and lovely and I am looking forward to many more visits :)

Good delicious food. Went with my partner and it was busy surprisingly on a Wednesday at noon. It was completely full one table freed up as soon as we arrived.<br/><br/>The food was so good itā€™s worth a 5 star rating.
