Review Revive Espresso Limited - Petone

What a great experience, lovely food and staff are helpful. Options for some dishes to be made vegan

Great coffee, menu and counter food too. This is one of my favourite places in Wellington as everything is consistently top notch and friendly too. Great coffee. If I'm going to Petone there's always an excuse to go here.

Half a latte. Half a flat white. Lemon, honey and ginger and once was a cheese scone. As you can tell the team enjoyed the visit to Revive. The ones in the know also recommend Myrtle in Wellington.

It was a busy Sunday morning, the staff were really friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommend. The service was top notch.

Excellent spot for breakfast and coffee. They roast their own beans and have a good range of coffee products. Cheese scone is famous!

Best hot chocolates in town! The staff are always friendly, the cabinet and menu are delicious. There is great little courtyard where you can sit in the sun with your dog and enjoy your coffee.

Absolutely love the food at revive. We had the avocado smash and the portobello mushroom dishes and they were remarkable.

Delicious coffee, my daughter loved her hot chocolate and afghan. Soy milk available for dairy free. Tidy, spacious bathroom. Service could be more friendly.

Great experience in Wellington. Best avocado toast and incredible mushrooms. Gluten free options and almond milk.

Excellent and friendly service. Drinks were wonderfully hot and the kedgeree was exceptional.

Friendly service and nothing was too much trouble. I had the house smoked fish kedgeree which was very tasty. Others at my table had the Manuka smoked bacon bagel ...delicious..and a pastrami foccacia sandwich. We finished off with a sweet from the cabinet and a coffee. We were able to sit outside in the sunshine which was a bonus. Highly recommend Revive A++

Lovely setting, yummy food. Had a really good cheese scone. The iced chocolate tasted nice but didn't have cream or ice cream which was disappointing. It came with a bar of dark chocolate which was a nice touch but it was too much for me to eat. Would come again but order a different drink.

Simple Elegance done to perfection. Beautiful place, great coffee, fantastic staff making everything effortless. Sit back and absorb this hidden gem in Petone.

The perfect lunch spot after a hike up Belmont Trig. Dog friendly courtyard, delish food & coffee, and lovely staff.

The five stars is solely for their scrambled eggs on toast! (with pesto on the toast under the eggs) so delicious. That's all we come here for. We always have a coffee too but unfortunately it's always under par. Only once ever here have I had a good soy fw. As you can see by the photo, always a thick gluggy goop on top that literally takes up about a third of the cup. Sigh. Anyway, let's not forget the outstanding scrambled eggs they do!

My fave cafe in Petone! Great coffee and beautiful food every time; with a decent range of vegetarian offerings. Service is always great also.

Today I took 3 ladies to a late lunch at your café at 1.30 there were 5 choices in the cabinet  2 ordered and I asked could you make me something else, was told you can order from the lunch menu I said I would like something smaller as I have to cook dinner 2 night. have you any bread that you could make me something else, no sorry unless the cabinet is empty we cant make anything else so I had to take what was in the cabinet I ordered a roll and tea the roll was tasty but you needed a chain saw to cut it . This gentleman should not be in the Hospo business and is not doing any favors for this business. We have breakfast here lots but WILL not be returning. There are so many cafes in Jackson st that will welcome us. I'm sorry 2day I was embarrassed for my friends. This comment was written by Barbara Burnett not Kevin McIntosh we share facebook.

The local coffee joint at the top end of Petone, this is our studio's go to place when providing catering for our clients. The assortments of slices in the cabinet will leave your mouth watering and with one gluten free on board there are always a couple of options to cater for her. The coffee is good and the cafe is always busy. If you can find a table in between all the workers who dine here on their lunch break,  I can recommend the smashed avo on toast as well as the salmon bagel. Others highly recommend the Smoked Fish Kedgeree and the tacos. The menu is very reasonable and if the sun is shining make sure to nab a table outside. Now that the Briscoes group has opened right across the road, it is a great place to make a pit stop when shopping.

Coffee is really good here. But unfortunately the hours it's open makes it more a weekday venue then a weekend brunch place. Didn't eat here. Didn't eat here but for meat eaters the menu is packed with options. For vegetarians not as much choice but a few choices did sound god and then there was the sweet stuff in the cabinet. Lots of seating inside as well as tables outside

Midweek breakfast - at 7.30am revive has just opened - the lady who takes the order is clearly not a morning person. <br/>Sited in an obscure part of Petone, Te puni street and not obvious unless you look, it's probably signposted best by saying its down the road from bella Italia. <br/><br/>"A trim cap and a kedgeree please" i say to the numb young lady at the counter.. I then grab a paper and find a breakfasty looking table.<br/><br/>A steady stream of local workers arrive for coffees. - not many eating at that time. I wait only a few minutes before the cap arrives - "cappuccino" says the lady. Looked good, nice texturing , reasonably full on flavour - a good coffee.<br/><br/>Half a newspaper article later the kedgeree arrives - "kedgeree". A moist, yellow mound, heavily flecked with parsley, a slice of lemon on the side, and poached egg on the top. Drizzled the lemon and forked into a perfectly cooked egg. The yolk joined the rice, and together they went on for evaluation. Delicious - creamy, nicely cooked rice, good spice heat, smoked fish and a creamy texture finished off by the lemon. I think a mango chutney should be on the side and perhaps a little less parsley, but the worlds not perfect. However this was one of the best kedgerees in town - I think. Of course people will differ as to how moist/hot a kedgeree should be, but this one was good by any criteria. I scraped my plate clean - <br/>Kid friendly - yes<br/>An outside courtyard is pleasant on nice days.<br/>Drive across town - Hmmm maybe on a sunny weekend - combine it with a walk with the dogs on the beach or a visit to ontrays.<br/><br/>Recommended

Have not eaten here for a while, but enjoy the coffee. I think they roast it on the premises. On a visit some while back had a pleasant brunch snack.<br/>

Very good food and coffee. Good menu and reasonable prices. Service friendly and efficient, nice pleasant enviroment. Only negative is counter food is limitted in variety and often runs out early on Saturdays.
Yum O
I come here at least once a month, the coffee is faultless, the food is always interesting and well made, it's pretty well priced, and the staff are friendly and professional. It's often pretty busy during the week, so sometimes hard to find a table. <br/>Seriously good coffee.
