Review Seumus' Irish Bar - Picton

Had an absolute blinder here while travelling through solo. The staff and locals know how to put on a good night. The beers were flowing, the food was excellent. The guy singing was really good quality too. Shame about the sore head in the morning

As an Ireland lover, this is the best guinness i’ve had overseas!! It’s hard a find a good one outside of Dublin, but they did it ! The fish and chips was just stunning and the place more authentic than any other Irish pub i’ve been to in Australia. I’m so glad we stumbled on it. Kudos to the staff, and the chefs for making our experience so enjoyable

A very pleasant experience indeed, Friendly staff, a better than average Irish pub aesthetic without being over the top and very good food for the price guarantee an enjoyable time with companions or on your own (like I went) While no area is exceptional, it's a still a good time and a solid 4

Amazing food, the chowder and ribs were to die for. I do think that the ribs portion was a bit too small, and the staff was a bit overworked and didn't approach when needed. But overall, it's still a great experience! Sincerely, The Ribs Guy 😋

I have to admit that it was far too easy to spend longer than I should have here, lol. The steak I had was excellent. The staff were friendly and the regulars at the bar easy to talk to and drink with. I didn't come to New Zealand to drink at an Irish bar, but I certainly don't regret it!

What fabulous evening last night we were rocking with our Irish music, food and drinks. Recommend the Baileys Slushy... Customer service at the bar and table service was exemplary given the whole bar was packed out. A memorable evening and thanks so much

Dropped by this restaurant for dinner as it was just across the road from our hotel. Tried the seafood platter (nice variety) and mussels (sauce complemented the mussels nicely). Had a beer too. Thought to try the Bailey’s Slushy because of another review but didn’t see it on the menu - only later noticed it written on a board on the wall) 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is a cool old school pub. The service has always seemed very good with staff checking on you frequently. There's live music often in the weekends. Foods fairly typical pub fair, but reasonably priced.

The mussels are are fresh as they get and the sauce they are served in is good to the last slurp. As good of an Irish Pub as you will find anywhere including all of Ireland. We were in Picton for two nights so for our second night we throughly researched the restaurants and could not find any that had more appeal, so back again for a second round. This time for splendid platters of Bangers and Mash.

Always busy for dinner, the mussels and stew are extremely popular. Booking a table ahead is the best way to get in, especially on Friday or Saturday as the live music is always packed.

This is not the best in Marlborough, its the best in NZ. On a side street, in the finest Irish pub tradition, is a wee bar that is like stepping back in time. The interior decor is classic and dated through clever use of painting and "Nik naks " and a wonderful collection of pics. The food is great, the staff attentive and the atmosphere is amazing. And to top it off there is a very strong hint of Irish in the air. When in Picton make sure you visit.

Popped in for a meal , the staff were super friendly. Had a Guinness beef pot for dinner , Wow 😳 so tasty 😋 , starters had the Olives mixed with garlic and that was yum . Washed it down with a Killkenny . Great atmosphere ( real old pub feel ), Great food and real value for money .

What's not to like??! Seumus' have got everything covered. Extensive drinks list w/ THE best cocktails, a revamped menu with so many tasty options it's hard to choose, entertaining live music acts every week, a garden bar in summer, wood fire in winter, Irish charm in spades and the best staff/managers who will make you feel right at home. Before you know it it's 1am ���

It's so friendly the staff are cheerful food is perfect of course you have to have a Stout while waiting for your meal top place in Picton ������

Great Irish pub which supports live music. Staff are friendly as are the locals. Would recommend for a pint if you’re passing through or staying in Picton. 5 stars. Cheers!

Very cool pub! The fire was roaring on a very chilly night when we stopped in for a drink and a meal. The staff were very welcoming and the food was awesome! Definitely put this on your list of things to do while in Picton!

Checked out other places before deciding to return here for dinner. Great service and food. If back in Picton would definitely visit again.

Second time at this little pub. Only had half a day stop over in Picton while on our cruise from Hawaii to Sydney. We first discovered this place in January while on another cruise. So couldn't think of anywhere we would rather spend a few hours out of the icy cold wind. Great atmosphere and food, friendly staff and warm fire. Topped off with a few beers. Perfect �

A locals bar with an excellent pint of guiness and curious mix of staff and clientele. Dreadfull open mic talent, but thats not the bars fault.

Fantastic wee pub. Have many great nights there. Hope we are welcome back after our craziness last night �
