Best french toast anywhere in the world. Travelling in NZ from US and was referred to Gusto from local Cougar water taxi office. Layers of french toast, carmelized banana, bacon, syrup, and berries.

They open at 6 am that’s super nice if you come with the ferry in the morning!

Great place for a Coffee or Lunch
We stopped here for Lunch after a Interislander Ferry Crossing.
Nice friendly place with Social Distancing norms in place. Great service and good food.
The Seafood Chowder with Bread is terrific. Toasted Bagel with Salmon and scrambled eggs was nice as well. And my wife was seriously impressed with the Mocha.

Smaller cafe with outdoor seating that catches the morning sun. Really nice porridge!!
Latte was nice and the service was friendly and quick. This is a popular place with locals, which is usual a good thing.
We got steak and chips with salad, and corn fritters with salad. The chips with the steak seemed to be pre cooked and lacked flavor and the corn fritters were bland. The food was nicely presented.
Busy cafe… which helped us decide on Gusto for breakfast. Friendly service from staff with good sense of humor and a smile. Great coffees and very happy with our breakfasts.
An absolute delightful experience, the staff are amazing and very helpful, we had the full breakfast...wow it was huge and very tasty, cheese scone was very tasty , coffee was great, atmosphere was excellent, staff are sooo friendly ♥️ highly recommend ♥️

Gusto is a beautiful place to have a breakfast or lunch. Day have a good coffee and lots of different breakfast options to choose from all fresh served. The staff members are friendly and helpful to inform you of their choice of food. I really recommend this place if you are in the area of the Beautiful Picton. So if I am returning to this beautiful town I will revisit them surely. For now I thanks them for my good experience. Cheers.
