Called in today for a muffin and a drink - I had a flat white and mum had tea. Zero complaints! Really friendly staff, savory muffins were delish, drinks were perfect, nice to hear kiwi dub and ultra clean bathrooms. Nice view of the bay too :-)

very nice cafe with a great view of the harbor and the sound. Delicious cakes. Very pleasant background music and very acceptable prices. Great live music on a regular basis. Best café in town!

Nice place by the sea. Indoor outdoor feel. Really nice smoked pork and veg. Staff very friendly, and efficient. Le Cafe gets the thumbs up from me. Also very clean and tidy.

Service and food were amazing, and would give it 5 stars but I thought the salad or wok veges should be included in the price. Meal options were either full size or entree, and the full size was just right, not a huge plateful, but definitely needed the addition of salad. Staff were really friendly and efficient, atmosphere was great too.

Great flavors, seasonal foods. The figs and goat cheese Crostini were fabulous as were the humus plate and the homemade mushroom ravioli.

One of the very best if not The best fish dinner I have ever had in NZ....this cafe is so rustic and unique, and it is genuine, not a put on like so many other places. Almost everything is home made using fresh local produce, they don't even make a song and dance about it because it's just them and the way it's always been. Lecafe is also the music capital of Picton and a huge supporter of local arts!

I had the avocados for breakfast. Really tasty. Only bettered by the coffee. Really appreciate it when people ask if you want a double or single shot. Service was friendly, location is amazing. And open early on a Sunday morning.

Really nice atmosphere. Great little Cafe overlooking the Picton harbour. Good service, great food and awesome coffee. We even scored a complimentary sample of the home made chilly sauce.

Nice cafe near the harbour, maybe not as fast as I would like when serving but good enough. Sunny place with views of the boats coming.

Le Cafe is a very good option if you are looking for wine and food with an ocean view! I went on a Sunday lunch with my partner, the carpaccio and mussels were really tasty. Fresh ingredients, great wine list, live music events and even for a casual arvo coffee and cake or delicious tart. Highly recommended!

Had dinner here last week. Was a very busy night but still had great service. Love the menu which has local seafood and a gmae dish. We had the home made pasta, the cheaper pasta option and the game-all very tasty-home made pasta was excellent. Home made sorbet & ice cream was also very good. Recommend this cafe for it's fab food, atmosphere and fantastic view over Picton Harbour and the Sounds.

Outstanding. Was there in February 2012. The full breakfast was the best I had eaten in a long time. Partner enjoyed his also. Coffee so so. Good service. Will definitely go there again when we are in Picton next. Thanks.

we went here for breakfast i found they had friendly service and tidy modern decor with relaxed atmosphere. the food tasted good and had lovely presentation but i found the portions quite small for the price paid. we paid around $50 for a drink and breakfast for two people but were not full afterwards.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much of anything in Picton after a night sleeping in an overpriced and underwhelming motel – but I’ll save that story for when I start reviewing motels/hotels.

Le Café is a quaint but modern looking café which seems to be divided into two very distinct parts – one for more formal dining and the other more casual. We arrived relatively early for breakfast in the more casual end, which has a mish-mash of seating – some more comfortable than others. There’s a computer set up for free net surfing for patrons and seating outside which has great views of the waterfront.

We could see the care being taken by the chef to neatly place items on the plates, so this was a good sign. When the food came out, it was hard to fault anything about it. Eggs nicely done, mushrooms were lovely and there was a dash of pesto on the side of the plate.

Because it was such a beautiful morning, this only made the whole bad motel experience vanish relatively quickly.

Only warning I would give is that coffees look cheap but that’s because they’re SINGLE SHOT, which is very non-Wellington like of them. BUT you pay standard prices for a double-shot long black.
