Fergie‘s serves the most delicious fish and chips. Fresh and very tasty!! The cappuccino was on point as well. Once again we are amazed by the kiwi hospitality. Delicious fish, chips could have been cooked a bit longer but that's just my preference - Overall a yummy feed before catching the ferry back to Wellington.

The fish and chips were AMAZING! Like seriously amazing. We stopped here while before our ferry ride to the North Island. It was a great pick-me-up! Ask for a recommendation on the type of fish for the fish and chips. You won't be disappointed!
I bought fishes and chips, chicken and lamb kebabs from Fergies Takeaway. today. Crispy, thin batter, not oily and fresh fishes, cooked to perfection. Tasty fresh moist fishes. Crunchy chips and tasty and not over cooked. The staff were welcoming and friendly.. Best fish n chip takeaway ever. Highly recommended.
Kebabs were also yummy for my dummy ha ha!!!
Pricing was fairly reasonable. I prefer crumbed fish, I find it hard to get a really great batter that is not too oily. They did a pretty good job. The chips were crunchy on the outside but I don't really like thirty texture on the inside.
Really nice fish and chips, excellent burgers, SUPERB mussel patties. Great to have delicious options available for vegetarians too (and vegans if you hold the mayo and cheese, although a proper vegan burger would be great to see!). I've been to Fergie's three times and have always enjoyed the food. The ladies work very hard to produce high quality fish and chips. Had one mistake on one of the orders (during peak time) but the staff were happy to put it right quickly once it was brought to their attention. Haven't seen any Orange Roughy or Whitebait on the menu, which is a good thing because these fisheries aren't sustainable (not sure if Fergie's ever serves these fish, but I haven't seen them on the menu yet during my visits). Will return for the deliciousness.
Best prices in Picton. Had family visiting from the States so took them here for the classic kiwi feed. Their perfectly cooked chips, fresh tasting fish and massive homestyle burgers do NZ proud
Good portion sizes even on kids items. The taste is great and the food was fresh. Even though there were quite a few customers the wait wasn't too long. Handily located across from the supermarket so if you're passing through you can stock up on provisions while your food is getting cooked.
Great fish and chips at great prices. Nice staff as well. They even made a salad for my wife even though it wasn't on the menu.
