Dined at Tuk Tuk in Porirua and was completely taken by their delightful Thai dishes. Every meal was bursting with authentic flavors. The staff were quick, efficient, and accommodating. The decor beautifully complements the dining experience, and it's no surprise the place was bustling with customers. Truly a gem in Porirua for Thai food enthusiasts.

I enjoyed dining in. There was a great atmosphere and the waiting staff are very efficient and friendly. It was very enjoyable. I felt the prices were a bit high especially for starters however, the curry puffs were delicious. I ordered the Padh Thai which I enjoyed. My daughter ordered Thai Green Curry and that dish for me was outstanding. Order Thai Green Curry from here. Yummy 😋

Not only was the food delicious and ambience beautiful but some of the staff even took time away from their work to help look after our kiddies so we could enjoy our dinner 😌 as a parent this made the experience that much more enjoyable 🩷

A hidden gem. If you are looking for the best Thai restaurant this side of the Nauranga gorge look no further.This place is ideal for large groups with large tables available. The atmosphere is second to none with carvings, art and even a tuk tuk 🛺. The servings are large, well priced and delicious from the small share plates up to the main meals. The service is wonderful and the staff go out of their way to check on you and make you feel welcome.

Everything is so delicious. Excellent quality. The best Tom yum ever had. Perfect balance of spice and flavor. Nothing is overwhelming, everything complements one another. Highly recommended

Went for a cooking class, learned to make their famous curry puffs, pahd Thai, Thai green curry, all amazing and delicious. Really friendly owner and team. We look forward to the next class, highly recommend it, as well as the restaurant.

Wow! What amazing food this place has, topped off with brilliant service. We really enjoyed finding this gem in Porirua's food offerings. Great to have easy to see Vegan options on the menu too. Will definitely be back whenever we're in that next of the woods again. Thanks so much.

The best Thai food ever. We were recommended this restaurant and we were so happy we went to try. The best prawn rolls we have ever had. In fact all the dishes were amazing. Lovely friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings. We will be back. 10/10.

Today for lunch we decided to go out and dine at a restuarant near us. Google rated 4.4 star to Tuk Tuk so we went there. Ambience: The decor and the ambience reminded us of Thailand immediately. The staff were dressed in their traditional ethnic attire too. It was quiet a spacious and comfy restaurant. Food: Our food was served on time and the portions were filling. The food was really tasty and you can taste all the flavours and spices in your dish. We ordered the curry puffs to start with and for main one curry with roti and fried rice. Overall experience was nice and we would come back. It would be really cool if the restaurant had better signange for customers to immediately identify the restaurant. Also the menu font and color made it really hard to order, so that could be something to look at too.

Lovely food and the staff are very good at there work make you feel like family a wonderful atmosphere too

Had a meal with my son, the waiter sensibly asked if the meal should have chilli on the side, good thinking. I had green curry, was excellent, good heat without being silly, and great taste. Liquor license now in place.

Love this restaurant, the food is always lovely and the staff always friendly. Normally go with two grandsons aged 5 and 7. They get bored after a while and normally go outside to the playground. We can see them and they have heaps of fun. Perfect.

Went last night with family! We all ordered mild curries but we all found it really really hot spicy. I did tell waitress we wanted very mild when we ordered! The lady manager/owner Enquired as we were nearly finished our dishes how our meal was and I explained it was super hot for me and daughter and she was very apologetic and lovely about it and gave my six year old daughter some cucumber to decrease spicyness hotness! We were given one bowl rice for the three of us to share but it wasn't enough so we ordered another! We all thought it was funny all the waitresses and waiter dressed in traditional Thailand attire but they were all European! ..... lol... maybe I should've ask if there any waitress vacancies since I'm half Asian lol .... Music played was quite strange tones as it sounded like ring tones beeping but I guess that's traditional Thailand music. Overall I would recommend this restaurant as I did love flavours however I will definitely ask for mild mild curry next time! Service: The waiter was very friendly pleasant polite obliging. The waitress appeared stressed out preoccupied or tired and not so friendly? There was no desert menu but cakes slices at reception. We ordered a cake and shared it and we all loved it was very moist creamy absolutely delicious! Thank you! We will definitely be visiting again!

My partner and I had lunch today at Tuk Tuk. I cannot recommend this place enough. The restaurant was very clean, service was fantastic, food was so tasty and fresh. We also loved being able to have beers from South East Asia. We will definitely be back. It was well worth the one hour drive.

We read reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try ... It didn’t disappoint � Absolutely amazing food, really authentic Thai flavours and great and efficient staff. Best Thai food since we were in Thailand. Would definitely recommend.

I didn’t manage to thank you properly for the lovely way you looked after us last night. I was brave (and slightly mad) enough to bring my 2 yr old and 3 months old to dinner by myself at Tuk Tuk Thai and all of the staff were so lovely - bringing my 2 year old treats and giving the 3 months old cuddles so I could eat. A wonderful place to bring the family and delicious food! We especially loved the curry puffs and satay. Can’t wait to come back.

I went for dinner for the first time last night as my friends did recommend the food. The restaurant wasnt too busy but not empty either. I believe that there was enough front of house staff for the amount of people and tables seated. We ordered food after a while, the starters took a wee while but we weren't fussy, it was delicious!!! we wait more than 30 min for our mains to get to our table and it was wrong, I ordered beef and my husband chicken (different dishes), it was the other way around and when I told the staff they took it away to fix it, but still left my husband with the wrong dish we got there at 7.30 and by now was 8.45pm, after a while (another 15 min of starvation) I received a chicken paneang instead of beef, I gave up and ate it and to be honest it was just a red curry, delicious but a red curry. When leaving the restaurant I saw the specials written on a board, which was duck and larb just my two absolute favorite things to eat, but the staff never told us about it, sad really sad,...you guys provide amazing food but the staff is not quite there yet, they prefer to stay behind the counter chatting with each other than looking after customers just sad.

Terrific food, nice setting and such hospitable staff! Great menu that manages to cater for vegans and vegetarians too without comprimising the dish which is great! I will be coming back here. Thank you from all of us today! :)

Finally got the time to take the family to Tuk Tuk Thai and it was fantastic! The place was full, always a good sign especially on a Wednesday, staff were really attentive and food fresh and delicious. The play area was a bonus to keep the kids entertained and topping it off with a beautifully prepared Elemental Coffee, what more could you ask for.

Absolutely love the food, best phad thai i have ever eaten outside of thailand, im now hooked and have become a regular there!!!

Best Thai food in Wellington-As good if not better than what we have had during our extensive travels through Thailand. Beautiful fresh flavours and fantastic people. So welcoming to families and a fantastic set up. Simply delicious!

We enjoy Sunday lunch here most weekends - lovely location, the food is always delicious and fresh with great ingredients, served by friendly staff and Daeng is amazing at making everyone feel welcome. Highly recommended!

Had our work Xmas 'secret Santa's luncheon today. Very nice. Selected set menu. Catered well for any special dietary reqsts. Dishes out all together for Portions more than enough. Service staff really lovely & were busy with other diners. Great venue for families as they have great play ground. Outside dining also.

Three of us ate entrees and mains, enjoying the food. Tasty, chili suited to palate, with suitable explanation of heat levels. Even at ‘Thai Hot’ the flavour was awesome. Will be back.

We were very surprised when we saw the "main" size of the Tom Yum soup that we ordered as it was too small for the price that we paid. I asked the waiter whether the entry size was enough for 2 people and we were told that the main size would be the better option and we thought that the so called "main" size should be big enough for 2 people just like any other Thai restaurants that we have been to but it turned out to be a very small bowl of soup that looked like just enough for 1 person and the soup tasted pretty diluted. <br/><br/>Well, the ambience looked nice and the staff was friendly but I think we wouldn't go back there again for the that kind of price and quality.

Went there for dinner tonight with my family for my mothers 65th birthday. Was a really disappointing experience. It took over an hour from ordering our meals, to receiving them. 4 meals/sides we ordered never arrived and they were so busy we didn't have a chance to ask them where the missing meals/sides were.  We raised the issue when they finally came to clear our plates. They were not apologetic in the least, insead, blaming the kitchen. My mum's Tom Kha was barely edible and cold but the staff looked so out of their depth at managing all the patrons she didn't want to bother them. Staff were really inattentive, not bothering to check we actually had received all our orders. My green curry was quite nice but missing out on the side was annoying. The roti bread was soggy and doughy, The veges in the chicken stir fry were overdone and mushy and my partner declared his Pad Thai 'very average'. Will not bother going there again

been there multiple times. food is always amazing and staff are so nice and always cater for your needs. service can be quite slow sometimes but other than that it is my absolute favourite place to go for dinner :)
