What a lovely fish n chip shop. Our first time trying and will definitely come back. My deluxe vege burger was lovely and can't wait to have it again.

Well impressed! Was passing by, saw was opened, after 3pm,Weds... decided to try it out, yumo! Had battered fish, half scoop of chips, fish cake & homemade gravy... under $20, was delish! Crispy batter on fish, chips were fluffy inside and nice and crispy outter, gravy mmmm, totally recommend! Lady even brought our kai to us whilst we waited outside for order, didnt hear our order called out, typical windy as wellies weather, thankyou! Will be back :)

Deep sea cod and Snapper battered is yummy! Huge portion of chips also pretty good.

Stands out as the best fish n chip shop in the Porirua area. There's a number that are good, but we prefer this shop amongst them all. They do offer gluten free options, but these are not cooked in a separate vat. There's a great choice of fish and various other options on the board.

Best fish and chips in Porirua. Wait times can be long because they are so popular, but quality remains high and consistent despite that.

Excellent food, huge range and fantastic friendly service. I had the loaded wedges plus cheese burger, wedges were a meal on their own. Wife had delicious fish and a generous helping of potato fritters.

Best fish an chips I ever had. The spring rolls are yum the hot dogs are yum and the fish is of very high quality. Thanks for a lovely dinner.

Always a great place for a Friday fish and chips. Fish is really fresh and the scallops are delicious, no mentioning theirs gourmet loaded wedges.

BEST fish and chips we’ve ever tasted! Beautiful white melt in your mouth fish. Highly recommend the amazing chicken souvlaki (yummy coated chicken pieces served on a bamboo skewer), and the beer battered fries go well with them. The garlic fries are super tasty too. Can’t forget to mention the chicken burger, the chicken has the same yummy coating as the chicken souvlaki, crisp, fresh, and so damn good! Then there is the large choice of homemade sauces (love the tzatziki) yum!! Thanks Sky and Denise, you are providing us with the best Fish & Chips in Welly, you and your team work so hard and we appreciate you! Even our family from Napier confirm this . . . it’s always a visit to Plimmerton Fish Supply when they are down.

My go to fish n chips in the area. Always tasty and a good deal. Was very surprised how easy and smooth the online ordering was. Awesome!

Still the best quality fish but no point calling in unless you have time to spare...They are very popular out this way. Don't go too late as the oil starts to taste a bit burnt though.

Yummy chips, especially the beer batter fries: they are sensational: crispy, tasty, but not over-greasy; food seems really well drained). Everything I've had there, has always been delicious. And I believe they cook in rice bran oil, which I prefer, it's reportedly a lot better in health terms.

Great service, great food. Excellent fries. Even before closing time, and with the heat of summer, the staff was friendly, helpful and calm. We will return and we recommend heartily. :)

This fish and chip shop is supposed to be recommended as great for people with coeliac disease or those choosing to follow a gluten free diet. The day we were there the customer service was shocking to say the least - the male serving us was quite rude and questioned my daughters coeliac disease and laughed it off. I think this shop needs to take a look at themselves and question why they are in business - seriously. Will not be going there again! - Unfortunately it looks like they are the only F + C shop in Plimmerton so I suggest you locals vote with your feet and not stand for that.....

Awesome fish shop in a beautiful location! Short trip from wellington, well worth it. Cant pass these pineapple fritters.

Went with huge expectations from years ago. Lovely evening to sit by the beech so queues were large as expected and we were advised it’s a 15 to 20 min wait. Service was fine, 20 mins later We picked up the order and hit the beech. Oysters were ok, fish fillet was ok, chips were not optimal and potatoe fritters were over cooked and terrible. We tossed them. All in all, won’t be rushing back.

We love the food but have tried calling 4 times recently with no luck. There is no message indicating they are away long term.

Fresh.....yummy......... Nice batter, yummy chips, fresh fish, and really good battered sausages! Didn't eat my donut, too full! Can't wait for my next trip to Porirua, definitely going back for more!

Perfectly cooked, and wrapped the way it should be. The only thing missing at the end are the grease stains on the paper (becuase there weren't any). One of the few places that does a proper steak roll too.

Best fish n chips in NZ! Awesome view down at the local beach too.
Vickie Riceman
Not many chips at all for $4 a scoop. When you ask for 6 scoops and feel like you were given 3

The fish and chips there are beautiful. We go there every time we go out to the boat.
Yuila Bruce
This is the ultimate fish and chips shop, excellent service, excellent food and close proximity to the sea if you feel like eating you fish and chips at the beach.

Great service. Loved the food. Highly recommended!!

My experience was good, I had a scoop of chips, potato gritter, and a crumbed tarakihi fish.

Everything was good, but the fish I had was average at best. But the last time I went it was good quality. It is quite popular so you will need to likely eat this at the beach nearby or takeaway.

I bought a cheese burger $6. The meat pattie was the thin leaderbrand type pattie on a burnt bun. The cheese felt cold when I bit into it. The iceberg lettuce and red onion was fresh.

The Fish was good nice white flesh and thick. I ordered both the crumbed $5 and battered $4. I would order both of these again.

Chips were $4 for a scoop but was below average for me it was not cooked long enough so if I went back I might order the beer batter that was on offer for $5.

For me it was below avg but I think they have the best battered and crumbed fish in Porirua.
We ordered Crumbed Tarakihi and it was absolutely delicious!! Surprisingly, it’s not too fatty! It’s definitely a gourmet food for both of us especially considering I am picky with oily dishes. We also had the fries (5 star), onion ring (4 star), squid ring (5 star) and hot dog (3 star).
The staff was friendly and the service was great! Very prompt! We will definitely come back again to try other options!

I used to visit regularly when based in Lower/Upper Hutt, Welly. Nowhere else comes close, not even Mt Vic Chippery in the city.

Greek run fish and chips are rare as hens teeth these days, this place has been going since 1972.

I generally make an effort to pop in when visiting, down from Akl - as good f&c are hard to find up there!!
Foodie
Good Greek fish & chips...can't beat the greeks at this game and unfortunately there's only a few left...keep up the good work plimmerton fish!

Came here for a quick and easy lunch. So happy to see a full GF menu! Lady was lovely and fish & chips were delicious. Will make this our new go to fish & chip shop :)

I have been visiting their shop for many years. The quality has not been changed. Run by a Greek family. They proud of where they are from and make sure their fish and chip match the pride. I usually go with their dinner set with crumbed fish fillet & Greek salad. Fantastic fish & chip and I drove all the way to get their enjoy them. They work hard & play hard too. Every year during the winter they are off to Greece for more than a month to enjoy summer there so pay to check whether they open during July/August.

Whenever I have friends coming over from overseas I take them there to try. They were very impressed. For me they are no 1 and only fish & chips I eat because they are simply the best. Even John Key tried their fish & chips too!

It's a family run shop which sells the best fish and chips in Wellington, I've been going there for years and they never disappoint. If your lucky you'll get a free extra piece of fish or some nuggets in your order.
Marina Kerschbaumer
Awesome fish and chips, wonderful service, but the thing that makes us drive past six fish and chip shops to come here is the tzatziki which is made by the owner! It's. The. Best.

Great little Greek fish and chip shop, worth seeking out.
Fish and chips were prepared to a genuine and quality standard.
Service was equally enjoyable, had a nice chat about the differences of kebabs and souvlakis with the owner, she was very cute.
