Review Union Co Cafe - Port Chalmers

It's a great place, cafe interior could be refreshed but it's Dunedin and it maybe the look they want. Not much in the way of hiking and could walk around the Port if you wish. Many cafes and shops around. Depending on the time you can get excellent photography shots. It's a nice place. Need to try restaurants next time and spend a little longer. I was working in a cafe for a bit .

Best coffee, Carrot cake and people! Perfect little local café Over the years the service has remained amazing, staff and owners are great. Coffee is non bitter, the mocha’s are sweet and smooth. All their food feels wholesome and healthy. Plus the carrot cake I had today blew me away! Easily the best carrot cake I’ve ever eaten.

One of our locals. Neat to sit with people you don't necessarily know. Fabulous staff. Good range of food including vegan choices.

Thank God for a right cappuccino from an amazing barista (her son?) Have been craving one of these for 3 weeks on the cruise! Got a great shot of the beautiful owner too! Thank you again for such an amazing place for a respite 💜

Very nice coffee and this cinnamon roll was outstanding! It was hard to get the pram in as the door was a bit small. But people there were nice and helped me out!

Everything, everything rocks about this place, its central location, it's vibe, it's amazing coffee and cinnamon scrolls that are better than anything I have tasted before.

Good spot, nice and sunny day for a breakfast. Portions bit too small for big breaky though

Excellent food using deliciously tasty and fresh ingredients. Good variety. My husband hasn't stopped talking about the BLT! The halloumi burger was good too. Lovely service and great coffee

Cutest little café with lovely staff. We waltzed on in on a drizzly Sunday morning and it was so cozy. Coffee was great and savoury scone was amazing! Densely packed with bits of veg and just delish, very rustic. We came back the following Tuesday for brekky and were not disappointed. Fried eggs on toast - could not be faulted. Generous, cheap, cheerful. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just good quality, wholesome food. Definitely recommend to pop in.

The food was excellent! The photos do not do justice to the flavour of the meals. They use some of the best "raw" products that elevate it above standard cafe food (havoc farmed pork, holy cow milk ect) The staff were considerate and helpful in changing some of the sauces in the food to fit around my diet requirements. The only real criticism I have is that the building itself is a little akward and seating is limited- we sat outside in the sun but had to move when some other smoking customers lit up- this was no fault of the business or the staff but did impact my experience 😥
