Review The Flour Mill - Pukekohe

Great selection of kiwi delights both savoury and sweet. Portion sizes are amazing and pricing is fair. Service is delightful and prompt. Would recommend for anyone in the area or even who is driving past to make a detour to check them out.

Probably my favourite bakery! The camembert and cranberry chicken pie is the best, but you gotta get in early because they sell out fast! The food here is always fresh, and the portions are big! I wanna try every single thing in their cabinets! The staff are friendly and helpful.

I was told this was a really nice bakery but that was definitely an understatement. The variety of food on offer is amazing so it’s gonna be so hard to choose but I did it😂 I had a chicken and Camembert Pie with a Mocha. I did have to wait a bit for service but that is expected in a busy bakery. 💕I found a new favourite Pie filled with chunks of deliciousness. I know I’m gonna crave this one. And the Mocha ☕️one of the best to date! You can sit and enjoy. The Flour Mill do have a loyalty card you definitely want to use and they have on offer a pack of 8 mixed pies for $27 I think. This is such a good idea cause you can heat up a pie for dinner, whip up some mash potatoes and veggies and you have a quick, easy dinner. ✔️ They also have small decorative cakes on display that can be used for a small gathering or party if needed. Man I will definitely be back faster than you can blink an eye so I will see you soon💯Flour Mill. Thanks to the staff and owners, I could see how much hard work goes into running this place😜

Stopped in to get morning tea ... Yummy food everywhere you looked when you walked in the door.. I bought the Chicken and cranberry pie $6.80 it was a big pie lots of filling and a chocolate covered bravirian custard fillied donut $4.50, if you can go taste and see for yourself 👌😁

Great friendly service and the vegetarian Quiche was well made with nice flaky pastry and good balance of flavour in the filling. Highly recommended.

The lovely lady at the till today checked for an item out the back for me early this morning. The service was great. Both members went above and beyond when there was no rush... The service was passed forward. Thank you. Portion sizes are plentiful and made often daily.

I miss the meals and the seating space but I understand times have changed. Can't fault the cabinet food for its tastiness, variety and freshness. The coffee is excellent. The service is always pleasant and professional. Thank you 😊

I had the best amazing apricot cheese cake today ! So good , I also ate the butter chicken pie ,I can feel the chicken is so fresh , but the flavor is not that strong zippy as I expect but the pastry is sooo crispy!

The Steak and cheese pies are 1 of the best I have had. Plenty of meat and not just a gravey in pastry like many we have tried. The cakes are so fresh and match the quality of the pies. If in pukekohe don't drive past. Stop in and have food that will leave a memory forever.

Very busy cafe/bakery. I felt for the trainee on till! We were told we couldn't have hot chips as kitchen was closed (2pm) but then watched as someone else got hot chips 🍟. The staff the brought our food and coffees over we're lovely!!! Great customer service. My chicken and bacon filo pastry - chicken was really dry. Left a few lumps of it on the plate as not nice. Everyone elses was great.

I was told by a colleague that the original owner of Callums (a bakery in Papakura) owned this place so I should try it out.
I was extremely disappointed... the service I received today was ridiculous. It took forever to be served (it almost felt like I was being ignored by the staff) and when I was finally served I was met with a snippy teenage girl who didn't like the fact that I pointed out the service was lack lustre.
I will never go back as I don't believe in lining the pockets of people who don't respect their customers. Pity too as I was quite excited to find I decent bakery in Puke.

Fantastic sweet treats... but absolutely horrid pies. I purchased a selection of flash-looking donuts to split and share with the family. They were a little on the pricey side, but a generous size and with lots of filling. All in all, they were an absolute hit with everyone. On a later visit, I grabbed a mince and cheese pie, hoping it would be as good as their donuts. Wrong. The filling smelled and tasted like a homemade mince stew. It was under-seasoned, lacking cheese, and contained peas and carrots to bulk it out. I don't know about others, but I don't want veg in my mince and cheese. I tossed it after 3 bites. For $5.00, I expected something stellar. There are several other bakeries in Pukekohe with award-winning pies for cheaper.

The coffee here is bitter as, had to ask for a new one and while I did that they actually decided to CLEAN the machine and CHANGE the filter. So thank me for that folks. I wonder how long it was left like that.

It’s hard to think of this place as the flour mill and not Callum’s bakery having grown up in papakura with the best sally luns ever! The food here is great, the best pies and proper cream doughnuts but the biggest let down for this coffeephile is the coffee! The one I had today, tasted bitter and burnt and after paying $5 for a medium I was unable to drink it, So I’ll stick to just buying bakery bits and get coffees elsewhere.

Nice and spacious cafe, we had brunch, I had the Creamy Mushrooms on Hash Browns, my wife had SweetCorn Fritters, both enjoyed our meals, and washed down with a good coffee.

Large selection of yummy looking treats, and baking. Portions look nice and generous too.

Staff were friendly, will be back to try one of those tempting delights.

This is my new favourite cafe .. they make really good caramel lattes and mochas here.. the apricot muffins are divine as are the donuts . I always have to buy the brown roll with chicken and salad as they are my favourite . Also the apple pies they are next level delicious . Everything you eat here is delicious . Staff are really nice too .. nothings too much effort . This place should be proud of their good customer service . Highly recommend it here

Love this place. The muffins are really good, the scones are really good and the pies are really good. All made on site. I haven't tried anything off the menu, only food from the cabinets. Certainly Pukekohe's better bakeries.
