Yum! The best Rogan Josh curry we've ever had. The lamb was very tender. The depth of flavour was beautiful.

Really beautiful clean restaurant with welcoming staff . Only got takeout this time got some butter chicken and it was beautiful! So rich and creamy and very tasty,plenty of juicy chicken pieces very generous I don't usually finish everything but I ate myself sick cause I couldn't stop eating it. Also when asked for cutlery they went the extra mile to provide a lil bowl which I thought was a nice little touch. Will definitely be back again ☺️

i love this restaurant. it’s better than curry leaf and ginger more space and quite service was awesome . guy talk very nice and he have no attitude, last week i went ginger omg his owner has no manner how to talk customer, first time i visit this restaurant. i love the service

Food was good. Flies were the problem. We spent our entire time there swatting them away. Service was pleasant but slow. No one came when we finished our meals. We had to find them to pay! What made it more maddening was that we were the only customers!

Went for lunch. Food was tasty. Service awesome. Lovely experience. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Last night we had an exceptional experience at this restaurant! The service provided by Gajendra was outstanding - he warmly welcomed us with a smile and went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable evening, especially since my wife wasn't in the best mood when we arrived. His attentiveness and professionalism made all the difference, and we left feeling very satisfied with the service we received. The food was also amazing - everything we ordered was utterly delicious and exceeded our expectations. The quality of the ingredients and the careful preparation were apparent in every bite. Additionally, the cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant were impressive. It was evident that the staff took great care in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for their guests. In a plethora of Indian Restaurants, it is difficult to stand out however thats was exactly my experience at Shalimar. There is a unique blend of indian and indo-chinese dishes to choose from. I'd tried the desi chicken, albeit a bit spicy i would definitely recommend it. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that each curry was unique and based off of different ingredients. Cool place to stopover if your headed back into Auckland.

Great food. Out of the 3 Indian restaurants in Pukekohe, I would say, this has the best tasting food (for now at least)! Try their lamb biriyani, very flavourful but not overly spicy/hot. Also, try their bhindi dopiaza if you are looking for something vegetarian! You can always ask them to make the dishes mild if you prefer. Hope they keep up the quality & delicious taste of the food they prepare.

I come here everyweek and am never dissapointed. The lamb rogangosh and Naan are my favorites. Very high quality food and service! A++

Exceptional, every time we come here we get a consistent great dinner.

Even though there was noone else there it took a while to wait for the food. The chicken was dry after being grilled and put in sauce which didn't help the dry chewy nature of the meat. The flavours were intensely beautiful with the light fluffy Nan bread was very tasty
