Stopped here early afternoon for a beer and a few games of pool, great atmosphere, great background music, modern kiwi classics. Very friendly and accommodating staff. This place has an off license so was able to buy take aways as we were staying locally and didn't want to go to greymouth. Didn't ea
Epic location, friendly staff, tasty food. Smallish menu selection but great daily specials. Had a roast and drink for $25. The tavern has a lovely fireplace, and the garden outside is charming with fantastic views of two rocky outcrops. Haven’t stayed so can’t comment on the rooms, but would defini
Stopped for a quick dinner. Food was pretty decent although I have never had nachos with sweet chilli sauce and no guacamole before. But it filled a spot. Nice atmosphere.
Stopped here for breakfast on a wild westcoast day. Fire was going and food and service could nor fault. If we had time would have stayed a day or two. The place was really well maintained and the environment is awesome!!!

Get some exceptionally amazing pancakes into you and know that on cold wintry days the amazing fire will be there to warm you and dry you out after snooping around the Pinakaiki Rocks.
Stopped here for lunch, the food was incredible. We had the pie and corn fritters. It was obvious everything was freshly made. Based on our party’s allergy restrictions, they made the fritters gluten free and dairy free.
A few years ago, I visited a fantastic little tavern situated in a location free from light pollution. At night, it offered a splendid experience with beautiful views, stars, and refreshing sea breezes. The prices were reasonable, and my friends and I played darts and billiards until very late. The
One of two main places to eat in the small town end is the one out of the two worth the slightly cheaper menu. Chef specials were great options-particularly the ribeye open sandwich, ribeyes were actually done quite well and we all had a good feast. Fries were actually quite good. Made my expectatio
New owners so don't believe the low rating. My partner went here because there was no other place really. We were a bit concerned with the 3.9 rating it had but it's under new ownership! The place was clean and nice with awesome wooden furniture that makes it feel very welcoming. I got the bangers
One of the best beef burgers I've had, lovely outdoor area and friendly staff
Such a delicious breakfast! Large indoor seating area with a pool table, darts, and book exchange shelves. Lovely outdoor area for seating and exploring. Also, great snack menu in addition to the menu that can be found on the website. Definitely recommend for a great meal!
Awesome place, thoroughly enjoyed our stay & pub visits. We will definitely be back. Colin & Tina
