Bev's Delight - Putaruru - Photo album

The most un-assuming little Cafe on state highway 1, and yet the most delicious home made food, good price and the coffee and Cake were winners πŸ† we had the election slice and the white chocolate and cranberry blonde, and boy were they good! πŸ‘
Was walking through putaruru not hungry at all... Bevs delights caught my eye so I thought I'd have a quick peek in. 2 roast beef rolls and a steak and cheese pie later I am totally stuffed. What a wonderfully delicious roll that was, a soft fluffy bread roll with layers of roast beef fresh lettuce,
Sandwiches were great, i've always believed in less is more, this bakery was not crammed with different products, but what they had was great quality. They really know how to make a sandwich thats not saturated in dressings. Service was pleasant i do recommend here.
Stopped to grab a pie while passing through town, steak and cheese pie was amazing. A pie full of steak not gravy, and plenty of cheese. ⭐️ πŸ˜‹
My new stop for my new favourite pie snack. Nice pastry, hearty filling and love the peach passionfruit tart.... Anyone passing through deserves a stop here.
Stopped in the morning on the way through to tokoroa with my work mate and picked up 2 roast beef rolls they were incredible, heaps of meat filling, delicious freshly baked bread, well seasoned gravy, All round delicious. Not to mention the rhubarb and apple pie was phenomenal.
Coffee was on pointπŸ‘Œ, sausage roll was one of the best I've ever had! And the fruit tarts are frankly epic!!! Well worth the detour, will definitely head Bevs way again!
Stopped to pick up some lunch while driving between Taupo and Auckland. Bev did not disappoint - lovely pies (savoury and sweet) and sausage rolls, homemade with quality ingredients. Will definitely stop again.
Best fruit pies ever! ($3.50) Custard & Apple, Boysenberry, Apricot & Passionfruit and Rhubarb & Apple. Best short pastry. Hard to find and unpretentious but don't let that fool you. Everyone should should stop here on their way through RuRu!
