I came to Mrs Ferg for the gelato after dinner for dessert even though I was already full. I’ve been to Mrs Ferg once (tried the grapefruit sorbet) and Patagonia numerous times but decided to come here to try the different flavours.
I requested to try peanut butter and banana, salted caramel, caramelised white chocolate and macadamia and the caramelised sesame seed. The flavour that stood out the most was salted caramel and caramelised white chocolate. At the end, I got the white choc and macadamia and it was so heavenly. Huge chunks of white chocolate and pieces of nuts scattered throughout the ice cream to add a different texture and flavour to it. I highly recommend trying this. My brother got the pistachio gelato and it tasted like the real deal too! My parents shared a roasted hazelnut ice cream, tasted a bit like Nutella.
The cone did lack a crunch that patagonia has though. I prefer the cone from Patagonia but ice cream from Mrs Ferg!
Taste good, but kiwi flavor is not
Anything with the Ferg name on it is fantastic. Thought the ice cream was excellent but would have liked a few more flavours. Gelato Messina in Melbourne is still the benchmark for me
Located near the infamous Fergburger, Mrs Ferg will satisfy that sweet craving.
Mrs Ferg has an extensive range of gelato and sorbet flavours on offer. I opted for the caramelised white chocolate & macadamia and raspberry cheesecake gelato which were both melt in your mouth delicious.
I highly enjoyed visiting Mrs Ferg and I recommend that you check it out. I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5.
You have to go if you’re in Queenstown. It’s infamous nature makes it a must do spot for foodies.
Burgers next door that often has lines down the street. And mrs fergs has an ice cream parlour with coffee machine and the most epic bakery ever with the most amazing baked goods, pies and treats (see pics)
Probably the best gelato I have ever had! I tried one of their shakes too and you can mix two gelato flavours to make it and its delicious - the staff are helpful and try help you with mixing the flavours too - bonus side is there isnt a line at this place :)

The perfect spot for all your sweet tooth cravings ♥️ They have a decadent variety of pasteries and desserts but the savoury pies were my all time favourite♥️ And finish it off with a scoop or two of gelato 🤣 Tried a bunch of flavours but the Tiramisu and Chocolate Brownie were simply amazing !!
We passed by Mrs Ferg because we didn’t want to wait in line for the burgers. I know, so different gelato vs burgers. Haha! No regrets though. You could taste the quality of their gelato. Unique flavour, friendly staff, generous servings.
Really nice gelato!! tried a few flavours and decided on the silver award raspberry cheesecake flavour. nice and chilly on a winter day hahahha

Compared to another gelato place in town, Mrs Ferg’s gelato has a great selection of handmade gelato I personally think this place has better than any other. Very refreshing and pure flavours. 🍧 we really enjoyed!
Very pleasing experience. Had the pistachio and rum & raisin flavours. Nice big servings for a delicious treat. Service was quick and friendly. The place looked well cared for and clean. Would love to have one of these everyday but I'd be dead!
You could probably just spend a day moving between the 4 Ferg hangouts next to one another here. Great stuff!
Oh.My.God. This is the best gelato I have ever eaten in my life. No joke, this is life-changing. You MUST try their gelato out! The must get flavours are pistachio and hazelnut. I have never tasted any gelato that was so nutty and fragrant! You absolutely must try it out!
Loved their gelato. Great service and creamy delicious flavours. NZ gelato and ice cream is miles above Australia.
It's just normal. Not bad but not amazing. The sorbet taste better than the gelato. The gelato is not icy but it's not creamy either.

Delicious, we tried hazelnut + hokey pokey for $8.90. Gelato was creamy and full of flavors, really worth it.
Vegan flavours tend to be a hit or miss, and every flavour was an absolute HIT! I got three very generous scoops for only $9!! Honestly I regret not going sooner in my trip to QT, but I will absolutely be coming back multiple times during my next trip!! 🤩
If you still have room after your visit in Ferg Burger next door, definitely do make a visit to Mrs Ferg.
Soooo many different flavours of ice cream.🤩 All of them were very tasty, milky and creamy. I had the hazelnut flavour, it was so rich and the hazelnuts were crunchy. They also do shakes, smoothies and juices. Overall, reasonably priced.
Very nice gelato! I can highly recommend getting the black Forrest! I would also say that i would recommend getting 2 or 3 Scoops as the first scoop is basically 80% of the price.
I see this more often in new Zealand and it really baffles me as back home the first scoop is a lot cheaper and every scoop above that adds around the same to the price as the first scoop.
