Best pub in Queenstown. Food was exceptional. 8 of us all agree, Best pub food in NZ . We'll done. We come here each trip and we will be back. They even have PALS on tap. Casual attire , tab outdoor fire dog friendly. Can't go wrong and views across the lake .

Great food and range of drinks in a proper local style pub. Steak was good and the margarita pizza really good too, I had fries with the pizza which I didn’t really need as the pizza was enough in itself. The staff were all really nice and friendly and there was good music playing while we were there. The views over the lake were lovely too.

My favourite pub on Earth !!! Great views and incredible service. The photo I've attached is the amazing view from inside the pub. In an industry where staff turnover is often high, the highly experienced staff here have been working here for four years or longer. Which is fantastic, and uncommon at other venues. I have been able to get expert guidance on many topics, including: drink and food recommendations; travel recommendations; Maori history and culture; etc.

We visited here while on our holiday as it was a little out of town and had seating available which was perfect for our bigger group. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious! And all with incredible views too. Highly recommend!

Cozy place, suitable for kids, lots of TV playing your favorite sport, some slot casino machine. Great Great foods, we ordered pork belly, blue cod fish and chips, the chicken, sirloin steak and the seafood chowder. The seafood chowder is a must. Big portion of foods. Decent price for the portion.

Nice location obviously and service. Calamari was super yummy, generous and crunchy with good tartare sauce. Garlic loaf was also good. For the southern style fried chicken, the chicken was great however the mushroom sauce doesn't belong on that plate, maybe a hot sauce or something else. The chips weren't that great either, overcooked and a lot of off cuts on my plate. Decent price.

Great place Just a tad noisy for the older generation. Food was great. Just the cook forgot to cook the garlic bread before our meal. Overall not bad would recommend and sits at a reasonable price range for the area

Halfway point for cycling. The seafood chowder is excellent!

Was told that the FAT was a nice local pub where you can enjoy a drink as well as look out over the Frankton Arm. Quite a large pub and the large windows overlooking the lake made the place nice and bright. We ordered at the counter and took a table. Food came out within a reasonable time and it was good. The food was nice, well made and tasty. The service was good. Really nice place for a bite to eat or after works drink. The views give it an extra edge. They do have a car park which can be difficult to manoeuvre with larger vehicles but there is street parking on the lakeside.

Good atmosphere for just a couple or for large groups. Got lots of games to choose from - darts, pool table, cards, board games, gaming machines, etc. We didn't drink but didn't feel awkward in this pub. It got large windows with an amazing sunset view of the Franktom Arm. Food was as what you would expect with pub food. Reasonable price.

I went to the Frankton Arms Tavern yesterday with from some mates and the customer service was amazing. We were served by Abbey and Sabba who are great at their job. Serving drinks with smiles on their faces. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good service and good pints.

This is a great Local. Plenty of seating inside and out. Outside is nice and cosy with it being heated like most in Queenstown. Great music too.
Awesome food and is not the normal pub food usually available. More fancy. Portions are large especially the platter and is great value for money.
Awesome service from the staff even when its busy. Great place to have a couple and have some good food.
Pokies and a pool table available if thats your thing.

We ate here twice and both times the food was very tasty and the portions are huge. Definitely recommend the southern fried chicken as the it was amazing!! I also had a stew which was a special on the menu which was really delicious. There was Guinness on tap which tasted as a good as if it were from a country pub in Ireland. There is a big outdoor area with a cosy fire. Excellent service from all the staff. The prices are very fair. The atmosphere is so nice inside that i almost forgot to mention the incredible views over the lake

The friendly staff, great food and lovely atmosphere will keep me coming back for more.

Recently visited Queenstown for a week. FAT has stunning views of The Remarkables, cosy atmosphere with friendly and prompt staff. Food is above your normal pub grub. Great flavours, generous serve and well priced. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed dinner at the Frankton Arm Tavern. The service was friendly and the portions were huge and good value. We ordered starters as well as mains which was definitely a mistake!

The hoki fish salad was our favourite dish.

We had dinner at the Frankton Arm Tavern as it was close to the Motor Camp that we were staying at. The ambience is amazing. It seems to be a popular place amongst the locals, who catch up for beer in front of the fire place on a cold autumn evening. This meant that we did not get a chance to enjoy the fire :( Their portions are huge and the food really good. The guys working there are super friendly too.

My friends and I went out and we were dying to find a different place to eat. We ended up at Frankton Tavern. I'm so glad we did! We had a great time on all counts. The food is amazing and the place has a great atmosphere. What amazed us all was the skills of the chef there. Not only is the guy's food beyond delicious, but he is really skilled and fast. If I'm not mistaken his name is Mike. He seemed to be doing all alone. How he does all that on his own I have no idea. The place was great, but to tell you the truth they owe it big time to, actually the most important person in a restaurant: The Chef. We'll definitely spread the word and come back more often. I recommend everyone in town to go check it out. It's really worth it.
