Wow it was so mindblowingly good we ate it twice over two consequtive days! The price is great and the food is delicious. The shop only takes orders online, but if you do not have internet you can also order at the shop using their tablet, so all is good. We ordered and took it home to eat, and it was such comfort food (especially when it is rainy) for the soul. Highly recommended if you want some good food at super good prices 🙌😁

Delicious! The crumbed hoki was really tasty, the nuggets, potato cakes and chips were really nice too. Definitely a hidden gem just out of Queenstown.

Chur has by far the most variety when it comes to ordering some great fish & chips. The food is cooked just right and they have a great loaded fries category with different seasoning and gravy/sauce options, you can also add meats to it and coleslaw to balance the meal.
Their burgers and assortment of fried food are great too with your favorite sauce, I travel from Hanleys Farm to Fernhill because that's how good it is, missing every other Fish & Chip shop on the way. Highly recommended thanks Chur 🔥🔥💯💯✨✨

You have to order online first before getting the food, I ordered mine about 20min prior and it was ready when I arrived.
I had the grilled blue cod with lemon and butter ($13.50), and Kumara chips ($9.50). The chips were amazing. Blue cod was good but I’ve tasted better at Stewart island!
Locals say this is one of the best fish and chips in town and I can see why when I had the kumara chips- it was a huge portion and really hit the spot.

Quirky requirements for you to order online. Unable to order from the guys face to face. Duh. Otherwise a superb place to get your fish and chips fix.
No where to dine in. More for a grab and go meal. Tried the cod,squid and scallops. Loved it all. And of course the chips rocked!

Our first ordering from Chur. We ordered Hoki fish n chips ( crumbed) , Kumara chips, butterflied crumbed prawns and Moro bar. A great tasting and filling dinner for the 2 of us. The Moro bar is super sweet. Parking by Chur can be quite limited. Super service though.

Old fashioned fish and chips with variety and well cooked . At least 3 types of fish, scollops, white bait and prawns. Very tasty. There was a table outside if you wanted to eat there.

My partner and I were visiting Queenstown & we were recommended this place. It was absolutely delicious that we went back the next day for more! Had the classic Hoki with the Chur’s seasoning for our fries. The location is a bit inaccessible but totally worth it. Would recommend ordering online before heading down as there may be a long waiting time especially during peak hour.

As we were staying in Kamana lake house, Chur’s fish and chips was literally right around the corner, and that is such a blessing!
If you’re looking for fish and chips, look no further. We tried this on our first night in Queenstown and ate Churs for 3 out of 4 nights. One was given to Fergburger.
Of special mention is the scallops. This is a must order and one bite of the sweet and succulent scallop will be enough to convince you.
The fish and chips itself is great with generous amounts of chips and the blue cod and hoki breaded fish being fantastic.
I love that they also let you choose to add salt, pepper and vinegar to the dish.
Again, we stayed in kamana and basically bought the food and ate it minutes after it is made. That’s one of the reasons why it tastes absolutely fantastic but I believe it will still be awesome even if it takes a little longer before you can dig in.
Must try.

OMG...! This is the best fish and chips freekin ever.
Ordered online and picked up in less than 15 min. Owner operator and you can tell from the details. The fish is obviously hand picked and the chips are cooked to exactly his specific temperature and time. Then there is the array of sources to go with the chips...yum!
Thanks Steve for setting the bar and staying the long haul to put Queenstown on the map for fish and chips. Lonely Planet will be knocking.

The best fish and chips in Queenstown that i had to go for 2nd round. Wish I could have a big stomach for 3rd round. Fresh fish menu was super delicious and their scallops were magnificent... Definitely willing to come back for the third round! :)

Photo does not do it justice. These are the perfect example of what proper Kiwiana fish ‘n’ chips should be. Amazingly fresh, perfectly cooked blue cod. Delicious hand-cut chips and decent amount of seasoning! Medium sized sauces are huge, definitely only needed a small size. Enough chips in one scoop for two adults. It was our first time and we will definitely be back! Well worth the 40 minute return trip from LHE. Don’t bother going anywhere else! We also got a special treat which was nice :)
