Loved this place in Queenstown, very authentic with a few unique items on the menu. Food was delicious and staff Amit looked after us well with his exceptional customer service skills. Highly recommended.

Just finished dinner at this restaurant. We ordered - Paneer Chilli Dry, Cheese Dosa, Paneer Tikka Masala, Vegetable Jalfrezi, Yellow Dal Tadka, Cheese Garlic Naan and Lachha Paratha. All dishes tasted really nice. Paneer was very soft. Cheese Dosa was the best one we have had so far. Vegetable Jalfrezi was very delicious - we haven't had this good in many years. And above all, after finishing dinner and cleaning my hands, there was no staining of food colours on my fingers 😊 I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone staying or visiting in Queenstown.

The food here is incredible. Some of the best Indian I have ever had. The lamb korma is insanely rich, creamy and so flavoursome. We got the banquet for 2 which was great value for money. We were so full after and it was great we got to have a small amount of a bunch of different things. Definitely will be back next time we’re in Queenstown.

4 of us had dinner here, friendly service, simple casual atmosphere just what we were after. Food was very tasty and generous portions you certainly won't leave hungry. Menu was extensive, I personally tried a new Indian dish that never had before and was tasty, garlic naans were delicious. Definitely worth a try.

The staff were very nice. The food was very tasty. Made fresh. We had the Banquet for 2 people. Good portion size. Even had some left over and took it home. Highly recommend. Very good 10/10

I was visiting from the US and my companions and I stopped here. The staff there were very friendly and the food was good and they provided good portions. The one gentleman we interacted with literally had a smile on his face no matter what you asked. So kind. I would definitely visit again if I were in the Queenstown area and wanted some good food to eat!

The food was absolutely incredible and everyone was so welcoming. When you first walk in the restaurant, you can instantly smell all the herbs and spices they use for their dishes. Very well priced and really good portion sizes. You don't leave feeling hungry!

Ordered - Malai Kofta, Paneer Tikka Masala, Lachha Paranthas, Aloo Paranthas, Paneer Paranthas. The food and service was very good. Except we left with orange fingers due to excess food colour used in paneer tikka masala (given we are with our hands). Overall great service, ambiance and taste. Definitely worth trying.

We had dinner here in 2 nights. The place is right in the CBD area of queenstown. The dining area is nicely decorated and clean. The service is friendly and quick. The food is excellent. Not too spicy nor blend. We had vegetarian dishes and all were very tasty. The yellow taska dal was the best I have had. I would highly recommend this place in queenstown. Special kudos to the manager, Mr Vraj Patel, who took good care of us

We ordered from ubereats. Food taste good, okay portion, priced on the higher end. We ordered Biryani, Masala Dosa, and a garlic naan. Our order arrived without the garlic naan. After calling them 3 times, they finally agreed to deliver the naan to our hotel. The naan was the only thing that we ordered (not spicy) for our toddler for tea. The naan arrived 40min later, but it arrived. We can tell they really put in effort to make it happen, although not the best ubereats order ever.

Hey I must tell you it was my first visit to boliwood on 21st January which is in 5 mile . I was so hungry that I ate the burnt gravy . I ordered for kadai chicken which was given to me sweet and creamy but I don’t mind and I started eating but when I started it was all burnt and even the chicken pieces was black and burnt . When I told the guy who was there he was so casual and told me how it taste like what’s wrong in this . After telling him it was burnt he was asking me such questions . While leaving we were waiting for him because he was in cal . And he paid him while he was in cal . He didn’t felt to say sorry for the food given to us and no Thankyou amd also no discount and he still continued his cal . I mean this was such a bad experience . I would want to suggest that guy to be welcoming to your guest and please smile and try to take out solution if you are serving wrong and burnt food to your customer . To avoid such reviews pleas .

Me and my wife went there for dinner, ordered lamb roganjosh, chicken biryani, chilli naan and juice.both main dishes were disappointed, lamb was smelling (being old) and biryani was like khichdi,(rice porridge).i asked wait staff to correct the food and after that no one came to table to change the food ended up paying bill and been to another restaurant.

While on a tour to NZ, we visited Bolliwood as a break from the food we were always eating.
The food was fresh, good taste. The naan’s were so much better than what we eat back home. It’s a little dark place, but service is good. Options of vegetables are almost all! Everything is expensive for tourists so this is no exception!!
Excellent food, great service, seems like you are eating food in India itself may it be malai kofta to dal to gulab jamun. Excellent samosa chaat , bhajiyas , masala papad cheese chilli naan and what not.
Must visit...
Cheers!!!

Worst Indian restaurant ever i have been to, poor and rude customer service, zero sense of hospitality. Don’t waste your money.
Go to bombay palace or taj restaurant in Queenstown but don’t go to boliwood.
Amritasaulakh
Worst food, worst customer service and worst experience in Queenstown. Please don’t waste your money on this restaurant. They will go to any limit to sell their food and will not listen a word when you tell them something is wrong . So disappointed that i waisted my hard earned money and my precious time in Queenstown here .... Trust me guys i am Indian and their food is no where close to Indian.
With whatever little I ate this place seems to be nice. Tried dal tadka & naan
Loved it, the taste was authentic
Gonna try more from the menu in next few days
The service was very quick & the staff was very friendly

Food was really good , tried batura, masala kulcha, chilly paneer. Staff is quite slow and unattending to the customers unless called, that was disappointing. But overall the food part was good, remaining things can be ignored as food is the main thing.
HungryHulk
Liked their kadai paneer with garlic naan . It also came with rice on the side.
Spices were perfect as asked . Ate in happy hour dinner times . Not bad for bucks compared to others

Loved to experience a wonderful Indian restaurant so far away from home. Name is catchy !
Veg food - yellow daal, methi matar, pulao and naan was awesome. However naan needs to be softer, it was a bit hard to chew and cut.
Ambience can be improved a little with better lightings, felt it was dark inside during broad daylight and dustbins in washrooms were overflowing. Needs to be looked into.
Hence, rating it 3.5 overall (mostly for the food).

Amazing authentic indian food.. best indian food I've tasted in New Zealand.. the ambience was good, and the staff very warm & friendly.. The menu had a good range of options, very vegetarian-friendly.. the chef adjusted the spice levels to our liking..

Every Indian would be more than happy to have food here and people who wish to taste real Indian food in queens town, should definitely try the place.
Must try Dal tadka!
Cheers!

Wouldn't go here again. Coming from Auckland, hubby and I have had alot better. I think the only good thing was the rice lol.

We ordered butter chicken and lamb rogan josh. Didn't finish the butter chicken as it tasted like tomato sauce instead of the smooth butter chicken sauce. Chicken wasn't the melt in your mouth type was chewy.

Lamb rogan josh was okay, we have had better. Naan was yummy fluffy tasty.

The staff dont really talk lol so umm yeah makes great for a quick in and out pick up. Wouldn't come back to this place.

This place is not worth going . Staff is extremely rude and i hav got pebbles in my dal . They say chilli paneer is indian style but it was thai style. I will never recommend this place .extremely poor behaviour and food.

Had lunch here during our stay. The food was not bad. Butter chicken is always safe. Kadai chicken was nice. Naans were good also. Service is super average the ambience is 2000's but when here and you crave indian it will suffice.

We were drawn in with the $14 on curry options. Nice menu options to choose from, the waiter and waitress were friendly and served us well. The food was nice and of good portion size. Enjoyed our first evening meal in Qtown!

Such a rip off ! we ordered plain dosa , as we wanted to eat something very light but they charged 18.5$ for that ! Chole bhatures were alright . Staff was not friendly at all.
Dru
The food was not good at all and the staff really unfriendly. We ordered a samosa which was really bad and while we were eating it the waiter without asking us took the plate. The tadka dal was really hot and had no flavour. You think my review is shit? This place is shittier.
So after staying in Queenstown for three days we decided our last meal should be Indian. Walking down the alley we spotted this place with lunch menu starting $10, we decided to give it a go. Staff was very friendly and warm they recommended the dish for us and we order saag chicken and palak paneer. The food blew us away it was made to perfection. Being a chicken lover I finger licked the gravy of the saag. We also ordered for a naan which was super soft and fluffy. Last but not the least they have Kingfisher on Tap which completes your Indian journey in the most beautiful place like Queenstown. I would happily recommend this place anytime if you are missing home or just want to try Indian cuisine.

Me and friends tried this wonderful Indian restaurant. As we entered the restaurant there was a wonderful aroma of a tandoori delicacy. My friend decided to have tandoori chicken which was really nice. Perfectly Marinated and cooked and served with mint sauce. I had Dal makhni and spinach curry which was also tasty and filled with stomach. Nice ambience and lovely place to have Indian food.

Pathetic south indian food my wife wanted to have south indian so we went in and we waited for half n hour to get a place. Very laid back attitude of the staff. We ordered masala dosa and spring dosa am sure u wont love to spoil ur evening, stomach and taste. Sambhar was sweet and on asking the owner abt it he said aisa hi aata hai i was so irritated that y do u keep indian stuff wen u cant serve like india. We spoiled our eve

Guys as usual when in a foreign country, one craves for Indian food and for me this craving brought me to this wonderful place serving kickass Indian food known as 'Boliwood'. Honestly speaking, the food served here is better or equivalent than the food served back in India. Almost during my stay in Queenstown, we used to daily visit this place once.
