Frankton Ale House - Queenstown - Photo album

I had a curry chicken baked rice- not the best one I’ve ever had but at $12, it’s warm and hearty and does everything a baked rice should. The other items look excellent, bring your mates along for a solid Chinese feed. Bit of a weird vibe in the actual pub itself.
Very nice place, friendly staff. Look bit short staff just have see two people works but very helpful. 12 dollars Hawaii cheese definitely valuable and recommend to try. Would like always come back to visit again.
Pretty authentic Chinese restaurant. A bit catered to the tourist groups but we had no problems with service. There’s just 1 size in the food servings and it’s large. NZ has a strange custom where u have to get your own water. Not sure why there’s some trolling but for me, I’m glad we stopped her
Food is far better than year ago, same as the service. Had a dinner on the New Year Eve, was pretty good.
We enjoyed our meal here tonight. The dish portion is huge. We are happy to finally had some authentic Chinese food after several days touring in South Island. The young girl who is working there is super friendly. :)
Nice $12 TA Cheesy Chinese Risotto with various options of meat/vege Dine in also good
"Never judge a book by its cover." - This definitely applies. We saw this place when we left Queenstown Airport. Thought it might be a little place with mediocre food and subpar quality. We tried it tonight, TOTALLY, not what we expected. Yes its called Frankton Ale House, but sells Chinese food. An
Great quality food, large sized portions with friendly staff. Glad they are now open to the public, look forward to trying a hot pot with a group next time
Cozy with a side of fun. Great prices. All food smelled amazing that went by! Was only in for a drink but will be back to try!
