4.4 | some of the best fish and chips I have had. We ordered the snapper special, was delicious! Fish was cooked perfectly and broke apart while having a great crunch to it. Chips were solid, added a bit of salt to make them pop a bit more (i think they are unsalted). Prices are fair for the quality you get. Absolutely would recommend a stop!

Walk up the ramp to the right of the building in the car park! Great hand cut chips. Crunchy, fresh and perfectly salted. Fish was not over battered either which was fresh and tasty. Grabbed some salmon steaks for dinner too, because why not! Great selection of things like raw fish, chowder, fish pies and more on the side of the takeaway section. Stoked as!! We will be back.

Excellent - portions were larger than we expected so we ordered too much! Staff super busy but still helpful and patient. Scallops excellent, not overcooked. Kumera chips tasty. Good selection of fresh fish. Dogs n allowed outside seating area but not inside - fair enough.

Fabulous tasting fish and chips on the wharf at Raglan. Looks to be straight off the boat ... straight into the fryer 🤩 There's a reasonable selection of freshly caught fish available for you to choose. We had trevally which was cooked in a nice, crispy beer batter. The chips were lovely with tons of salt on them. (you can order kumara (sweet potato) chips but they are not my thing) No vinegar (doesn't seem to be a thing in New Zealand) but slice of lemon did the job !!! Small area to eat in ... or take your meal to sit on the wharf. Order at the counter inside ... pick up from the window outside. All fish cooked to order. Also available to buy is chowder, fish pies etc to take away.

Was served by a really polite young boy/man. Was very efficient and friendly. Deliciously fresh and tasty fish and really good portions at such an affordable price! Coffee is quite nice too, not often you can go to a fish and chip shop, and also get a decent cuppa too!

The best fish and chips in New Zealand! Big portions for great value. Over and over again! I just love this place. It can get very busy during dinner time but its so worth the wait while soaking up the beautiful view. Sometimes you can catch them processing the fish that has been caught for the day.

I know fish and chips and this was some quality food. snapper battered beautifully and not too oily. Big hand cut potato fries. What a meal and an even better view A++

Long wait for order, no snapper, dirty tables, rubbish bins overflowing, chips over cooked. Same last time i came a few weeks ago. Not happy

Don`t get to go here that often..bought a feed of chips ..very stingy quantity for 3 scoops I ordered and disappointed with what I got..larger chips and a lot only half cooked ..slow service...pity as I like going to the wharf which is an interesting place..

always great, well done. Clean oil with fresh fish is always a great combo. Phone ahead as they are busy come dinner time.

Pretty average food when you wait over an hour for it! & i wasn't the only one. How hard is it to cook fish & chips! Very average service as well. Would not recommend going here at all! They are very lucky to even get a one star rating as it won't let me give less then that.
