Perfect place to stop, grab some excellent food or drinks before continuing on your destination. Love the fried chicken, and most of all the generous serving of chips.
Food was awesome which is the reason we always stop in when going past, staff were friendly and helpful even tho extremely busy at the time we were there and their mussel patties were so yummy we got some more the next day on the way back to Nelson
Well worth a food stop in here,they have the friendliest staff and the chicken and chips and apple pie was great. Well worth an ice cream after...even in the rain ☔. We'll be back
Hi all, I was probably the last baker to bake in the Rai bakery oven, I owned the bakery with my wife Christine and brother Daryl until we were bought out and closed in 1980.
In 1968 Rai valley bakery baked the longest loaf of bread in the world at 27ft,.
Is the oven still in the bakery, do you have any pics, we have heaps,
